Stagnant water, motionless fluid
Same flow that life has to it
Any disturbance causes a ripple
All pain will scar, no matter how little
Collect tears to measure the sorrow
Recollect the fears present tomorrow
Inspect the rear from paranoia of what follows
Darkness cocoons your mind & swallows

Scars on the inside
are prominent to
the one that wears them,
but invisible
to humanity.
Thank you for reading my poems. It took a long time and lots of encouragement from some amazing family and friends for me to finally post my work.  Thank you C. Love, Sheela, Court, Todd and Syd.

Sometimes,
we are scared of letting someone in
because we don't want to entangle them in our chaos.

Sometimes,
we fear to reach out for the hand of others
while we are drowning
because we don't want to pull them in.

Sometimes,
we are scared to cling on to the hearts of others,
because we don't want to leave them scarred.

Sometimes,
we scarred to get close,
because we will push them away
and it is just unfair.

Sometimes,
we are so willing to be destroyed
by the pain within us, than to destroy anyone else.

War

War,
A permanent scar...
Bitter memory,
Bloodshed history...
Lost by one,
But won by none......

Just watched a tv programme on world war

for once
i protected myself
and it hurt like hell
sharper than any
knife in the shelf
only to realize later
sometimes we bleed
for the right reasons
sometimes a scar
leaves us lessons
only hurting
leads to healing
maybe it's time
to feel more
I’ve been wondering,
Feeling,
Being trodden by you.
You kick me
When I’m down.
You slit
My throat
But patch the wound.
The symphony of scars
On my skin
Tissue,
Is a gift from your arsenal.

As I lie bleeding,
Half awake
On the floor,
You whisper
Lies in my ears
And tell me to disappear.
You turn dreams into nightmares,
Haunt my daily waking.
I push you away
But somehow you’re closer then.

You’re a mind game encased in my skull.
Between the lines, you don’t hold back,
Telling me truths as harsh as you can.
I believe every word injected into my veins
As the paragraphs line up.

I believe you, doubting me.

Is love a virus,
spreading throughout the body because of human touch,
needing constant attention to whoever bears it
but then can be healed eventually?

Or is love a disease,
spreading for the same reasons as a virus
and needing constant attention to whoever bears it,
but then destroys them slowly and painfully
leaving a scar?

B.K.
Which one is it? Come on, tell me.

Isn't it odd.... the scars in my heart have the same names as those who made my fondest memories.

My scars tell a story
A much more permanent memory
Left by life's indelible mark
Mostly trauma's hallmark
Reminding me that my tormentous past was real
That I had wounds even if they eventually healed

Some will fade, but most will persist
And those are the ones that will teach a lesson
A reminder that they will always show where I've been but never dictate where I'm going
A promise that ultimately something positive comes out from the broken
Although the history behind it is pitiful
The future holds something much more beautiful

49 stitches, desensitised and disturbingly serpentine
13 inches of a rugged and raised line
So macabre you can't look without flinching
But I have come to gaze upon it without cringing
My scars may not look appealing
But are still a sign of healing
They say I took a hit but I survived
They are but evidence of the life I lived

The strongest and best of people have scars
So I'm glad my wounds and stitches left a scar
So like jewellery I show off my skin which has been marred
For everyone to see, like the scars of the universe; the stars
And maybe it will teach others that they can also heal
No matter the injuries they suffered, it doesn't have to be their Achilles heel.

I scorched myself to match your fire,
I chased death to match your desire.
Even though the wounds were deep,
The love for you was anything one can keep.
So never mind the scars I own,
Cause my heart is not of stone.
Melts for you, fuses the pieces together
It is something of a love, that lasts forever...
English is not my first language so suggest me if there are some errors.
