Laying in the grass
you look up into the sky,
it's a warm night between summer and fall.
The stars twinkle and you let yourself drift off.

You're dreaming.
You're floating up to the stars,
all of the things that make you who you are,
encompass you.

Then you wonder,
is it wrong?
To wish for a savior?
I'm here to tell you it isn't.

It's okay to want someone to save you.
To long for them...
to wish they'd rush into your life
and be there to catch you.

You're only so strong alone.
It's okay to sometimes,
just sometimes...
want someone to be the hero you're dreaming of.

I want to strive to be worthy of your grace. So that the day I see your face, my knees will hit the ground in praise, but my eyes don’t drop to the ground in disgrace.

I love you
like the sky loves the sea.
Your light shines forever
and it watches over me.

Your smile
is my savior,
from the place I tend to go.
When I think about you laughing,
my love for you does grow.

In ancient unenlightened days,
There came a man whose triumph would’ve laid
Foundations for a better world,
Our inner compassions unfurled.
For we thought we found a holy seer,
To rid our lives of all our fear,
To tell us what to say and what to think
What to do and what to drink.
He did his best,
I can attest,
To warn us of that one,
Who would see all our progress undone.
Indeed, many in our history have been
Told what constitutes sin,
Left with a hurtful scar,
By one who never wandered very far.
And our true messiah saw
This prophet for a gaping maw,
Another of the tempter’s tricks,
A man whose touch could heal the sick.
For he loved God more than most
But found him in the cosmos,
Our divine provenance,
Rooted in collective consciousness,
Not an oath to take or die
Or a being to mollify,
Nor any kind of credo,
But an universal ego.
Heeding logic over gullibility
He recognized the liability,
One who would see them die for naught,
And stray them from the insight they sought.
But in trying to break the cycle
He heralded its arrival,
Enshrining the son,
In the cursed three-in-one.
He made a martyr
And thus followed generational slaughter.
Promising sacred haven,
Causing war and famine.
For deceivers are known to appear as savior,
For them there is no pleasure greater,
In casting down the righteous,
And rendering them mindless.
And so millennia could have been spared
From some cruelty our kind have shared-
So long and so onerous, never ending-
And our pity’s rending.
The earth’s inhabitants coalesced,
No longer their souls oppressed,
Saved from prejudice,
Alas, poor Judas.
Sorry I published this a couple times I had to fix some things and I like it so

If I can say unto this mountain
“Be Thou Moved”
I can surely move myself.

If I can say unto the waters
“Be dry”
Surely I can fill myself.

But these things I can only do,
Through You.

When I
Believe you
As the universe
And
You do
The same

Whatever

Is
No less than
A cosmic

Your world was black and white
I presented you a beautiful sight
I aided your falling world
I saved you with painful words.

I am always aiding all of you
I promise to always save you
I hit you when you're being irrelevant
But now I am feeling very distant

You all salute my strength
But you never knew the truth...
The tough steel was bent
Indeed, disappointment is the fruit.

I am at the very bottom
Again, as if waiting for autumn.
But I prefer spring...
Because I'm walking in winter, desperately surviving.

I wish for reinforcements
Due to this storm, I'm breaking and leaving fragments.
From here, home is still far.
Walking alone, navigating through the stars.

I'm getting really tired...
But falling asleep in the snow, please give me fire.
Someone please, oh please rescue me
I don't want to say goodnight, its too early.

Biblical Egyptians benefited from labor
From their underpaid neighbors
Who looked for a savior

Long ago are the days of Joseph
Serving the pharaoh with his mind
Pharaoh hates the other kind
Working them as slaves
Who shall not misbehave
They must walk through the desert and make sacrifices
But pharaoh confines them to their quarters
And forces them to obey his orders
Not to leave the defined border
God hardens pharaoh’s heart
While he tears them all apart
So God sends a plague of locusts
And other kinds of hocus pocus
That’s not the focus
The country started to wither
From the snake that slithered
In its leader’s innards
Thinking he’s a winner
When he’s just a sinner
Making his once great nation grimmer
As the meek eat their last supper for dinner
They look to a leader
For a pharaoh defeater
But even though Moses had God preach to him
He still needed Aaron to speak for him
In order for the meek to win
We must seek to step in

The Lady In Gold

She stood on my porch, the lady in gold
She stood there until I dared to open the door
She needed inside, but for what?

My lady in gold, she called towards me, but only pain could follow
My lady in gold, murmuring to herself, questioning her own philosophy
My lady in gold, wondering if I even cared enough about her to save her

And I, the heartless coward
And I, the spiritless shell of a man
And I, the miserable being killing the lady in gold

She held herself on a pedestal for the world to see
And when I doubted her, she fell from her self assumed grace
My lady in gold, now covered in soot from the earth below

Won't you join me once more?
Help me find her humanity.

I once had no direction,
I felt so very lost;
My sorrow came with a price,
my misery, with a cost.
~
I longed to find a purpose,
in this crazy world I lived;
A place where I belonged,
somewhere that I fit in.
~

Then one day I met the Lord,
Forgiver of men's sins;
The One who truly loves me,
the One who helps me live.
~
I asked Him to forgive me,
I asked Him in my life;
He then became my Savior,
and I became His Bride.
~
Jesus is my Lord of Lords,
I gave everything to Him;
He laid His life down for me,
and washed away my sins.
