Pain is a braid in a little girl's hair, tied back with the elastic of memory.
As long as we keep remembering, we'll keep suffering in our own personal black hole.

When nightfall paints the bedroom windows' black, mom removes the red band.
Removing the memory, we begin to remove the pain.

The little girl lies on her bed, her hair a puddle of hazel on the pillow.
No longer a braid, now waves of her hair.
Pain starts fading away but no matter how long it's been,
there's still some suffering wanting to stay.

Tonight, the Witch Awakens
Tonight, the Witch Returns
Tonight, the Souls Forsaken
Come back around to watch us burn

The morning air is warm, but today's wind brings a chill
I can sense the coming storm of vengeance and evil
Black leaves on the breeze, a crow ****** in flight
And a sanguine shimmer to the gold in the glistening sunrise

Tonight, the Witch Awakens
Tonight, the Witch Returns
Tonight, the Souls Forsaken
Come back around to watch us burn

The afternoon Infernal, it seems they've all gone mad
To chaos doomed eternal, could it be we've all been had?
This town is somehow different, a plague across the land
You can hear it in the trees, you can feel it in the sand

Tonight, the Witch Awakens
Tonight, the Witch Returns
Tonight, the Souls Forsaken
Come back around to watch us burn

At Dusk, in desperation, the sun gives up the ghost
The spirit of the sorceress descends upon the coast
The Wicked and the Innocent - both paralyzed in fear
Children of her enemies, your judgment day is here!
Lyrics.
because love when cut,
lets loose
an empire of blood:

i have in my lips,
a treaty of oblivion—
releasing an embittered lemon.

in the throne of the sea,
waves repeat the crash
of perfidy.
by the mountains they ride,
the thick air of strobe.

rocks receive the genital fire
of lighthouses
exposing intones of shadow
one by one.

the beast maimed
behind the zither of trees
makes no sound like
  an aleph.

i herald the collusion of night
   and children
and weep at the solicitude of mothers,

because pines swoon in the dark
and with its hand, the gentlest war
   threshes the flesh and blood,
raining on us forever.

hostile eyes bypass the silence of things
  and lovers closing doors repeatedly,
disrupting the vale from its slumber.

it is because when love is let loose,
it releases both of us — weary, inescapably ripe with the wind, looking
for each other as doves do in flight,
  separate and obscured, opening gates;

                                           nightfall:
   the savage aroma of wood
on the leaves that sway fervently
          tippling away from boughs.

The sounds of the city hold more weight at night
It’s all I can focus on when there isn’t any light.
Almost from the Stars, a brisk breeze blows through the trees.
The year has grown old, and the weather back to a cold freeze.
I look up from the park bench and see a dark abyss,
but I listen, and see something of the city is amiss.

When distracted by daylight I feel less alone
but in the spotlight of nightfall, I’m all on my own.
My thoughts grow louder as my sight fades black
I recall my less lonely times in days passed.
But on my own its less phony, knowing who myself is in a sense
I was alone yet not lonely, in my youthful bliss innocence.
Similar theme as "Spring is Over", with a darker touch.

If prayer was just a string of 5 letters
That bound your name together to be scripture on my tongue
I would find a way to speak to you
From the grip of my soul
From the blues in my knees
From the hard of the floor
Put my heart on the floor
And I kneel before you
My faith.
Love is sometimes idolized
But, idle eyes
Will blink past the lightning in its strike
Love, there is no braille on your body, I will not read
Love, there are no cards in your smile, I will not fold
Love, there is no religion, in the way I want to sin with you
But I find my faith in your sunrise, and
I pray that we nightfall.

The darkness upon your face is beautiful
while the world is vast; winding rivers take over the nightfall,
I think about your face during the night,
when the moon and owls sing; while I am the moon
Mountain peaks are covered with snow; the world turns endlessly
yet I am still a Gemini by birth; my thoughts are forever changing,
A semi-colon representing my thought process,
forever endless and a constant stream,
like rivers at the nightfall, of dissimilar mindsets.

And once again I'm not afraid,
I'm not afraid at all.
But it waits for me in darkness,
It waits for night to fall.

What is it like chasing the sun?
Like waking up to race it?

And what’s it like chasing it in the opposite direction with me?

Is it like falling
     or like lifting

                      off

                                   a cliff?

Am I a weight on your eyelids?

Do you feel fresh and full
                          of power
When you're carrying the daybreak
         on your back?

Are you dreaming
when we slide into sunrise

           through
                 sleepless eyes?

Will we forgive ourselves

            Once the moon is small

And the stars cannot hide

The rising tide in my eyes?

Behind a curtain of clouds
from the sun
I will hide.

A thunderous silence deafens the night
until wild wolves’ melancholy melody
heralds the ebony darkness
born at the coming of the moon.

Trees are plunged into the void of nightfall,
the whispers of twilight awaken
as the presence of pale moonlight
pierces the wisps of solemn clouds.

The lunar light defies the darkness,
and melts into the dense mist
leaving silvery light hovering over the landscape,
banishing the decay of midnight’s umbra.
Would that it would end
And leave me in silence here,
Tranquil and alone.
