Let’s stare into the abyss and never look back
For then I would grow and never be struck
By the lightning of fate and cruel luck

I would be free from the reins of life,
Away from all these lights,
That put me out of sight

For only in the darkness you could see me
And there I would find what I’d truly like to be
Into the abyss, there I will be free

you unfollowed me
which in this generation is
akin to alienation,
it shuts down the waves of good vibrations
and signals the immediate effective termination
of friendship.
in a click of a button,
the tap of a screen,
and everything we've worked toward,
wasn't what it seemed.

you moved away
we never spoke again and i feel like
that's my fault.
why?
you're the one who
ended communication,
gave no explanation and even
closed off an opportunity for reunification,
but it's my fault.

you burnt the bridges
that supported you on the
epic failure that is your journey.
you never tried hard enough
you complained too much.
i believed in you.

i still believe,
with zero proof,
that you could pull yourself from
the rubble of your lies.
and walk through these streets,
head held high,
as a champion of your own design.

your dreams are still attainable,
and i hope the severed lines
of our friendship
was something that pushed you
to be more than you ever thought you could be.

i still believe,
with zero proof,
that you could still put others
first, for a change,
and set forth on the life-changing
journey you wanted.

i hope i was the toxic friend
that was holding you back.
at least then,
i can accept the death of years spent
together, with nothing but love and support on
my end, and nothing but self-diagnosed
illnesses, self-hate, and self-deprecation on yours.

Dewdrops stay
on the green svelte grass
in the sunshine
reflecting tiny colored lights
this is an emerald green four-leaf clover
it contains hope
love and happiness
it is a symbol of luck
in this lifetime.

~for Star BG~*

the visualization exists and persists like a pea burr
under a princess mattress,
the old poet in confession reveals he is a 180 degree sinner,
hail mary, yeah baby,
but the 90 degree was deemed so correct that blessed as right,
intuited and taught as the first of the geometric earth geo-phases,
first even before,
the Kabbalist circles found in early man’s cave
star drawings

who has time or patience to lean on a base tree trunk,
sitting, becoming an emboldened line compelling complimentary,
a human addition to seal a natural right angle,
blessed are they,
good luck to all of us,
for he who feels peace, brings it forth,
no messiah required,
when humans use their bodies and trees,
to make a rightful peace sign,
humans breathe the forest oxygen
preserving both

a thank you poem.

in every comment and message,
you seed the next one!

my dream has been a
curse in one too many ways-
I found and I lost you.
I plucked a shamrock for him,
Beautified with the glamour of the green,
Mystified with the aroma of the wild.
I am keeping it for him to give,
May love & luck shall be his,
With all the shamrock blessings.
Today is St Patrick's day. I m fascinated by the Irish shamrock, blessings n the celebration of the green. The poem is inspired by the spontaneous thought of the past "recollected in tranquillity." The thought of shamrock luck, charm is simply aesthetic. It has certain universal charm. A simple plant becoming the symbol of luck is truly beautiful. Simplicity can represent such thoughts of luck. It represents not only Trinity & mysticism but also youth and aura of liberation. And truly it's charming, I must say.

Cars passing by,
Who are you and who am I?
With every fleeting glance
Always wondering if we had a chance
The wind blows one way
It was only a windy day
Either way we were sent adrift
Your brief smile a precious gift

Your scars are visible and my broken heart waters my eyes.

Tension and doubt have kissed me on the mouth and said their goodbyes.

As the night sweeps in and my head lays down on your chest.

My heart beats to a calm, steady pace.
I rest.

One two. One two.

A little smile escapes my mouth, raising the corner of my lips.

We weren't meant to fall in love.
But here we are, beating all the odds.

Maybe we are doomed.

But here. Now.
I am right where I want to be.

With you.
