I can stick a gun in my mouth and it will jam. I can cut myself and miss. If I set myself on fire; it will rain to put me out. I can work up an appetite and not eat. If I stick my face to the wind; I won’t burn my skin. The world spins and I stay still. I can hear bombs from miles and crush rocks to sand. Give life to what is dead. I can move a hill to mountains’ domain and they won’t argue. I can throw the world into chaos and be praised. When I sit long enough; it is art. A mind can be set for this outcome. A person can image great future and greed. We have this power to march for one. We have this power to march for all. An unmovable object walks into a room. Does the room move with it? Or does it still stay? An unstoppable object steps on dry land. Does it crack? Or does it stay together? We are not malleable for a reason. But we can be broken with such few spaces. Such small and uneasy movements from across the world. It can be miles; but next to us. It’s impossible to march if no one knows how to dance. To waltz into trouble is easier than a solution’s dream. It is elegant and depressing as the same. We can compare scars but stay clothed and masked for others. We sometimes don’t miss when we cut. Sometimes the gun goes off. When a fire burns; it won’t be put out quick enough. This is real. This is life. But words mean more. Word mean more than actions because words are forever. A page can be lost and found. Paper can be cut and burned. But it’s still there in the mind of the writer. It’s still there in the mind of the poet. We as humans have the ability to move the hills. Move the world. But we care to not join. We, as many others, keep straight. We fall into the lines given ease. Giving the ease a way into the mindset of strength. Too much hate. Too much greed. Too much misunderstood points and confusion. We want to identify as something else to make us special. We want to be different than the person better than us. We worry about who said this and what they had done today. We look at horrifying things all day and change a picture to match it. We are numb. We are ignorant. We are invincible. And that’s sad.

Love me or hate me
One thing is clear
You'll never defeat me
I won't let you my dear
For we only are as breakable as we believe or at least let others believe...
Just some motivation for today :)

Stronger, but not invincible
Hidden, but not invisible
Unclear, but not unaware
Careful,
          but no longer care.

all these teens
thinkin' they're invincible
goin' around
with the world at their disposal

all these ******' teens
doin' whatever they please
always so happy
until it happens

those teens
standin' there
shocked
wait...

'how did that happen?'
'but we're invincible'
'she can't die'
'she's only in high school'

teens, welcome to the world
dyin' isn't only for adults
you can die too, any time
so you'd better be careful

all you ******' teens
don't go around
thinkin' you can't expire yet
you can *******

people live
people hurt
people die
that's just life

you teens'll never know
what's gonna come next
maybe nothing
if you're not careful
muscles bulge
on your back. you roll
and crash
into my groin.

your knife cuts deep.

you sigh.

life is a somersault. this moment
you are domesticated
and I am wild.

A smile inches,

victorious,

for you have conquered
the invincible.

Sometimes it feels
Like all of my fears
Have flown away
And I have nothing
Left to say
However...
I know that I am feeling
Momentarily invincible again
I wrote this a while ago, but it still rings true for me.

Superheroes inspire us all,
superheroes make us marvel.
Superheroes are adored
from Beijing to Washington D.C.

But superheroes don't wear capes,
they wear a '96 Olympic shirt
and loose-fitting pants
you would never catch me in.

They don't have x-ray vision,
they've worn glasses
for as long as you remember.
They cannot fly,
and yet they seem larger than life.

They never seem to lie,
and they still say "I love you"
in the exact same way
almost sixty years after they bound it to eternity.

They don't have super-strength,
but they are your super strength
and they lift you up
until you can do it on your own.

They seem invincible,
but life has a way of reminding you
that even Superman has Kryptonite.

They are stubbornly steady
even when the bill of health
isn't clean.
Just as they are your strength,
you feel your aching mortality
when you find out
even superheroes get cancer.

Yet somehow,
after their greatest battle is fought,
there they are in all that remains
spreading an unyielding light
upon whoever sees them soaring by.

We wear an "S", a bat,
or even a spider
to pretend that we are our heroes
and emulate their image;
but I won't wear that old shirt,
or those terrible, worn-in jeans.
Instead,
I'll harness that unbreakable spirit,
and maybe one day
I'll be a superhero too.
I love you Papa.
My bones are made of ice
No matter how much ember flows through your words
It's not going to vaporize my Stonehenge
I'm not going to quarrel, play pretend
I'm at the start, you're at the end
I have a couple of messages, let them send
When this conversation is over
You'll learn your lesson
Because i have a confession
I don't appease to just anyone

It only takes a split second
We are not invincible
Fate decides
The turns we take
The bad moments to look at our phones
Fate decides
Whether we see tomorrow's sunrise.
See our family one last time.

A young life taken
A mother is shaken
My eyes have opened
It could have been me
It could have been any of us.
But 18 years young
Lost to the world
Because
Fate decides.
I just got word that a guy I've known since preschool passed away today in a car accident. Prayers to his family. He was only 18 years old with an entire life ahead of him.

I am Invincible
I cannot be destroyed
Like a superhero, nothing can stop me
Nothing can get in my way
Nothing will keep me from going on
I will continue
By passing any obstacle in my way
I can power though and stay strong
And nothing, even the darkest of dark times
Can keep me from achieving my goals
There is always a light at the end of every tunnel
I always make it to that light
At the end of the never-ending tunnel
Jumping over the highest of hurdles
Climbing the tallest of mountains
Whatever it takes to reach that final goal
I am Invincible
