This love was an answer,
a resolution in the blackest night,
a shrieking of delight,
a temperance of fear,
the death of disillusionment.

Indeed, love is many things.
It is a whisper of perfection,
beckoning the emotions to supernova,
to hold the reigns and throw them,
into the abyss of pleasure,
shouting into the void,
"Take my control!"
so that we languish in security,
sipping the knot of kinship.

Love is a smooth, soft, brush,
upon the lips, tickling away,
bruises of bitterness,
fortresses of fear,
agreements of anger,
lists of loss,
pits of pettiness;
Yes, yes, yes,
love is a cure.

It is injected into the heart,
of a soul reaching for purity,
a soul reaching for hope,
warmth, and good weather.

Love is that white sanded beach.
It awaits outside your window.
The gulls beckon, flying patterns,
across the shimmering sky.
Clouds form all your favorite shapes.
The water is warm,
"Come in," love says.

I walk that shore sometimes.
I write to you from that shore.
Walk with me.
Guess what mood I'm in, LOL!

No, no; there's no woman involved right now, but, who says you can't feel love on your own? :)

Enjoy!

somewhere
between 4 and 15,
your innocence was lost
in the angles of your cheeks

and the hardness
of your dreaming
wore itself down
like bark on a tree

now you're standing on an edge
looking over at the sea,
with softer hips and aeroplane feelings;
you know
that you are leaving

somewhere
after 4 and 15,
you learned to be gentle,
to hold yourself
more carefully

you were
a flightless bird.
you are
a girl, becoming
woman, turning
over her dreams
like tea leaves.

you know
that you are leaving
somewhere
behind.

For you I’ll stay safe
And travel softly
I’ll drive real slow
And won’t steer with my knee
For you I’ll be gentle
On the curves around the road
I promise to be careful
No reason to forebode
For you I’ll get there in one piece
I won’t go racing
My speed I’ll decrease
I am not “just saying”
I promise to you
I will be safe,
Simply
For you
For my Angel

I would like to wish
you good night.
Tuck you into bed.
Give you a smile.
A gentle kiss on
your forehead.
Watch you fall asleep.
May your dreams
be sweet.
Last words tonight.
Until next time we meet.

I gently place the shards of glass back into
The frame
And ignore the way their jagged edges cut
My hands.
It wasn't expected
The way her hand
Intertwined with mine
Beauty snuggled gently
Into my skin
And slowly confidence
Grasped back

Gentle as a drop of morning dew
Silent as ghosts passing in the night
Strong as Earth's gravitational pull
A treasure hidden in plain sight

Exciting as a stirring storm
Passionate as a dancer's spin
Magical as heat lightning's stroke
Abstract as a Weeping Willow's grin

The world may not know
About the love you give to me
It can be our garden of secrets
That we've sowed romantically

A sweet face of an angel
She is friends with the devil
At war with the monsters
She is hard to handle
Warm and gentle heart
She has nerves of metal
Slowly freaking out
She is a twisted and mental
Destructing idols of fear
She is unable to settle
On darkness she feeds
She is a born rebel
Sweet songs from long ago
Carried gently through the wind
Translated threw the rustling leaves
To the mothers
   To the daughters
        To sisters
                Brothers
                         Friends
Heaven it must be
To be soothed and cooled
By the sweet winter breeze
Just chillin by my window
