My motherland is a tiny piece of land
In a huge endless galaxy
That scares and inspires
And refuses to hear our prays
My motherland is a land where blood used to flow down the rivers, mixed with tears and dead bodies
My motherland is a place where the sea is called “ black”
Cause you don’t give a name for no reason
It’s a place where we walk along the shore
Listening to gulls’ singing
And gypsy women guessing future with their cards
My motherland is a place where neighbors know each other,go to picnics together and say “hi”every day
It’s a place which i carry around
In my heart and in my thoughts
Even at night sometimes i imagine that tomorrow i wake up
From the sun
But i see snow the next morning
