Immortality Feb 21
I was afraid,
searching for light,
until I realized,
the dawn was born from the night.

Fall once, rise twice....
isn't it? :)

I’ll be waiting for you at dawn,
Where the night ends,
Where birds chirp in whisper
Like elves from fairylands.

I’ll wash my feet with cool dew
And I will be calmly awaiting,
Where pure thoughts are twisting with osiers
And creating dreams, fascinating.

I’ll be waiting for you at dawn.
Come some morning. I’m here,
Where dew is cool and all-pure
And our dreams are near.

This cold winter dawn
A cat runs across the road —
The fox follows suit
I hope that cat is ok
Hebert Logerie Dec 2024
The end of the year is the dawn of a new one.
The sadness and the yesterdays are all gone.
We have in front of us: a new era, a new horizon;
We are hoping and dreaming of a better season.

The moon seems to be brighter at midnight.
The migrant birds are flying very low tonight.
They are chirping, screaming, moaning and singing;
The children are happy, jumping, running and playing.

We set new goals, short deadlines and crazy wishes.
We invite friends over to enjoy novel drinks and dishes,
And we listen to old songs, which never go out of style.

The globe will not stop turning and the wonderful sun
Will not cease shining. A new season always brings new fun.
We need to relax, be more realistic, laugh more and smile.

Oh golden hues
of soft sunlight
you bathe the world
and cast away night

Warming earth
and bark, and leaf
stealing cold
liken to a thief

Would it be that my life
could be spent
in this moment
Words written whilst wild camping in Scotland and waking with the dawn.
Nemusa Dec 2024
clouds embrace the sky,
horizon meets the dark sea,
shadows weave their tale.
So we cross island to island each morning.
Nigdaw Dec 2024
the night is darkest
before the dawn
but I can still see
the breath
expelled from my lungs
Louis Espina Nov 2024
Our days were as beautiful as the starry skies.
Our lives—as humans, animals or even bugs.
Each lasted like a luna moth, with a purpose to love till dawn.

In the beauty of seeing you in each life—came and went with the two souls that lived it. If our time was prolonged—smiles would last longer alive than over your casket.

An infinite cycle of you and I—beautiful and brutal in my eyes.
To love you like a luna moth, with less time in life.
I'll never forget our sunrise—to which I loved you till dawn.

Dawn is breaking o'er the earth
This is a season of great rebirth
All of life sings to glorify creation
Every rock tree and creature, every nation
Come! Awake from your great slumber
Open your eyes to a new kind of wonder
Lift your head and rise from your bed
Give thanks to the Son who keeps us fed
A new page a new chapter a new story to tell
It is an end, yes, but a beginning as well
Morning has come a new day is here
Its loving rays driving off the fog of fear
Those in darkness have seen a great light
The faith of the blind restores their sight
Look! See how the Lord, with a smile, beams
Blesses us and gives to us sweet dreams?
I sing for joy and sometimes, for joy, I weep
When I recall the promise that you keep
How you poured your love into my soul
And made a diamond from this lump of coal
And I remember Lord, in my brokenness
In my pain and shame and great distress
You love me still, wearing no disguises
And even on the days of gray
The sun still rises!
