Lust
Kaazmeya May 2014
Tame this itch that refuses to be scratched
It starts behind the eyes, digging in your
tear ducts, pulling on irises, blowing pupils wide
Moving to lips causing a trembling, a stilling
Wet heat glides over, the pink muscle performs
Under every skin cell, the itch ripples through
Inside, the heart shivers, stomach flops, gut wrenches
Heat spreads, head to toe, burning extremities red

Getting To Know You
Kaazmeya May 2014
Smooth porcelain skin
lungs, a vibrant pinkish hue
The crux of the problem
enamored by the image of her
indifferent to the soul of her
unflinching in his deconstruction of her
a terminal case
without restrict
he breathes in crisp tainted air
exhaling in a roar of satisfaction
this poem was inspired by NBC Hannibal

Sins' Lament
Kaazmeya May 2015
Everything in moderation
three words
Seven deadly sins
Never heard

Love just wasn't enough for lust
Love fades
Lust burns til satisfied

Needs weren't enough for greed
Just wasn't cutting it
More became a must

Confidence didn't go a long way for pride
A boost sat you high enough to see the table
But you still had to get fed

Satisfaction wasn't sweet enough for gluttony
What worth was the taste of victory?
If the victor was numb?

Anger wasn't fulfilling for wrath
Can't hold a candle to
An all consuming pillar of fire

Relaxing only got sloth halfway there
Swaying in content
was nothing like
Sinking in lament

Envy is blind to self worth
Vision obscured
By your successes

You are enough
Three words
Seven deadly sins
Never heard

Euphoria

Pop the pill
slow the swelling
feel the granular texture against the tongue
white heat dissipates
the scene quickly morphing
once a chaotic tempo
slows to an indifferent shuffle
the agony melts
confusion lurks in shadow
****** lips oh in ecstasy

I have trouble speaking
Kaazmeya May 2014
Hold thy tongue*
it wriggles
between my fingers
it stutters
across my palm

my lips
long for its
most loyal companion
my tongue
basks in its
liberation
I literally have trouble speaking, can't get words out without stumbling over them

In Remembrance
Kaazmeya May 2014
You remember who you are
in that moment of invisibility
repeat your name
where you are, why you are

You are who you remember
You decide
what you
become

You who remember, are you*
lost in what was?
braced for what may be?
in denial?

Hidden
Kaazmeya May 2015
How timely it is that the sun sets
just as you indulge your dark desires.
How timely indeed that just as your first tear slipped
rain fell down from the heavens!
How did the thunder know
right at that moment
you wished to scream?
How is it possible
just as lightning struck
you were given the chance to do the same?
As you ran through beaten paths
Felt the earth shift beneath your feet
And suddenly the grass was greener!
Suddenly it all made sense!

The earth sympathizes.

For she has her secrets too.
shout out to mother earth!

Mother Nature is stuck in her ways
Father Time has seen it all
Life and Death are in a broken marriage
Ever since they lost Love and adopted Hate
Their only biological child
Sleep
Now Fears commitment

Musings
Kaazmeya Apr 2016
At the top of the stair
Sat a thought and a prayer.
Down the steps, the pair,
They stare.

“Have faith.”
And with haste
The prayer tumbled,
At quite the pace,
Landing below with glee on its face.

But,
A thought must think.
It totters right on the brink.
With fear it shrinks,
Til one last blink.
It starts to sink.

A stair would creak
Each step may squeak
Then a prayer would speak,
“Don’t look so bleak.”
Thought replies a shriek,
“I’m trying to sneak!”
To the top,
One last peak
A final leap
Thought lands on one, two feet.

On the land
Thought and prayer stand.
Linked together
With shaky hands
Together to brave
The doubts of man.
