You
didn't hurt me
I was already
in pain when
we met...
Let me
just
say you
handed
me back my
bag of hurt
that you had
temporarily
taken... It was
beautiful when
I didn't have it
so thank you
for the
while.

You
are
      beautiful,
but I guess
you've
            heard
        that
before
*I just hope you've also heard that
I think you're the one I've been looking for.

Are the only true love you'll ever know,
don't break your heart hating yourself.
instead mend every crack by acknowledging
the fact that none is worth your
tears but

Don't burden your soul with tones of regret
what's gone's gone and pining about it doesn't change it
for every moment lived is etched in stone
where from it can never be erased.
Nourish your soul by let go of your past
and focusing on the future for only
tomorrow can be changed by

Don't discombobulate your mind by second guessing
the decisions you made, if it didn't work out try again
or move to something new. Thinking about what
could have been had you taken a different path
is a cancer that will infest on your mind
and from better destinations keep you blind.
Your losses can not be changed but the opportunities
on your plate can be consumed to success by

empty your heart, free your soul, clear your mind
close that account and forget the imbalances..

YOU
You should have been hear to massage my heart
To rub at every muscle gently till they no longer hurt
You should be here, holding my hand tight
Imploring me to forget this doldrum brought by plight
You should be here losing me in the warmth of your embrace
Letting my smile bloom in the alluvium of your grace
You should be here as proof humanity can still be trusted
To make our friendship one of those that never rusted
You should be here wiping every tear I shed
After all the happy and unforgettable moments we shared
You should be here because we deserve another chance
We deserved forever and more at first glance
You should be here wetting my lips with your sweet kisses
Right by my side helping me stay focused
On battling this uncertainty rather than surviving on wishes
Alone with my pillow and silence influencing the caucus
You should be here reading my poems and stories
You should be here helping me put the past behind
Tasting my failures besides my glories
Yet seeing nowhere else to go for love's blind

You know that place, where the glimpse meets the eye
on the glistened horizon where the earth hits the sky
you've seen to seams where the truth cuts the lie
that is how close the bond is between you and I
Ignatius Hosiana Apr 2015
You go for more or settle for less
Run after them or go at your own pace
You can climb higher and higher
You can always get what you want
None should tell you that you can't
If you can proceed, you shouldn't retire
You can soar higher than the sky
You can poke your limits in the eye
Ahead lies a wonderful reward
Go for it, focus on moving forward
You can change your little story
By constructing yourself greater glory
Navigate the icy unchattered waters
You can go beyond the definate borders
Nothing about their words matters
You can disapprove your doubters
You can hit the spot, if you truly aim
You can change the rules of the game

All of us are entitled to dying
But not all of us smell that sweet
scent of living.
so let's try to live while we can instead of
worrying about death after all we must die
All of us must fall hard and wreck but few of us shall rise
so let's rise while we can, before gravity makes the call
All of us must grieve but not all shall smile
so let's stretch that laugh while we have it to a mile
All of us must hurt ,a small number will pleasure
so while we are at it let it be a wide measure
All of us must labour yet not all will leisure
So always find sometime, treat yourself as a treasure
All of us are entitled to vile but few can truly love
few give their heart that which they deserve
All of us are destined to hurt but few of those will heal
be among the few who after they scar won't suffer still
All are young but not all see old,not all mature
so live while you're young, tomorrow isn't sure
all must journey yet not all in the walk will reach
make adventure of your travel, it's the peach
all must work their *** off but few will grow rich
appreciate your worth, ambition will throw you in a ditch
all will compete for the prize but one will win
appreciate you tried, win or lose the globe will spin
all must hear but not all will listen
ride with the few cause the hearing are missing
All must sin believe me but few feel remorse
you too can find a place in your heart to repent of course
All of us must sow but a few of us will reap
we must keep sowing,we should keep herding our sheep
all of us are talented, sadly few will find mention
keep trying,go for goal, you might as well attract attention
all of us are entitled to dying but I've seen some live
you too can do it,you just have to believe

You missed a call from the kindness you dumped because of hurt
she wants you two to reconcile and have a fresh start
and from the lad you consider your greatest adversary
who thinks making up would heal your vile and misery
you missed a call from the fair lass you ignore, who feels you were wrong
running after those who wouldn't love you,to places you don't belong
the lady you were afraid to approach yet perfectly suited your future wife
you missed a call from that road you avoided because it was long
and took the fatal short cut, and from your conscience that urged you to be strong
you missed an important call from the shaky bridge to a better life
a vital call from the risk you were afraid of taking
and your real self you were forsaking while living a life you are faking
Even hope beeped, I think she wanted to find out why you embraced despair,
gave it room in your melancholy filled soul adulterated by toxic air
you missed a call from your sixth sense that wants you to quit liquor
for you were deafened by the loud music of your soothing ego
you have an email from prosperity but you only responded to poverty
esteem says she can be your drug if you have the right dosage
and persistence saw you online albeit you didn't reply to her Whatsapp message
your ability's a rocket shooting against all odds into space
and sky's not the limit but stagnation of your attitude and pace
if you hadn't missed it,you wouldn't feel gravity's grip on your lace
blessings texted you asking for reasons why you insist you are cursed
even your future called whilst you were breathlessly running after your past
you missed a call from inspiration, she wanted to say you can
no one can do it like you do, she says you are the only one
you missed a call from the life you want to live
she wanted you to know her number, you can reach her if you believe

If your embrace was a dungeon I woud
Use up the final seconds of my freedom
Walking right into your arms and never appeal my detention
If your stare was an arrow, I'd die with a thousand arrows in my eyes
If your voice was acid, many would call it suicide
For regardless of its corrosion I'd burn trying to drink it
If your words were grenades, I'd be blown closing in to have you whisper
If holding hands with you was condemned, I'd still do it behind bars
If missing you wounded me, I'd be dotted with everlasting wounds and scars
If falling for you was the epitome of failure, who would want to prosper?
If your fragrance was fatal, the world would die
By your knees attempting to savor at the most beautiful
Of flowers among the providence of nature
If you were an Angel, you would be a reason for commotion in paradise
If your kisses were a poison, I'd spend my very
Last breath with mine locked with a tenderness  to your lips
If hearts could physically be owned, yours would be mine for keeps
There's nobody else in the universe I'd rather woo
For it is my belief if perfection were existent it would be a thing close to you
If you were not human, you would be a butterfly, beautiful
And I would fall each time you flutter by, I would be beauty fool

I pray someday the Sun shines so beautiful that you'll be grateful for enduring the storm, that you find a place to call home and appreciate the years you've wandered, I pray the long road doesn't feel that long anymore after all you've walked the distance and gone an extra mile. The fractured places that make you weak, I pray they heal to make you stronger. Since this journey has been tiring and long, I pray you finally belong. I pray in the dark times your sky clears so that you can enjoy a constellation of hope and lunar of faith. I hope when you lose your way a North Star will appear to point you to your true north, I hope your true north leads you on. I hope you can find healing in those invisible places that hurt the most, and for the things you wish you had done differently, I pray you forgive yourself and understand that everything is part of the puzzle of your existence. I pray you find a smile when your tears dry, and the courage to talk about those things that are crushing your soul, I hope you recess in the midst of your depression. I pray the nightmares are phased out by beautiful dreams that give you courage to go after what you crave even if respecting your desire has maimed your heart, I pray your heart functions much as it's shattered so that you can truly live again, there's a conflict within you, I pray someday you find peace and for those things you couldn't change, I pray you learn to accept that they had to happen and in the depth of despair,I hope these words find you so that you know you're not alone.

Hey lord I came to you to let you know that I hit a *** hole of failure
There was too many of them on the path to my destiny
I wanted to let you know that the distance was too long
For the shoes of my faith to last the entire journey
My faith was worn out and with the thorns of temptations everywhere
I'm afraid most pricked through the shreds of my soles
And got my feet infested with the wound of remorse
A septic wound that took years to heal
Because it was filled with a pus of regret
I also wanted to let you know I felt the presence of your love
For at some point it was but the only thing I had, yet didn't deserve
I wanted to acknowledge that the wounds are all dried into scars of the past
I know scars seldom heal lord, but the past bothers me
It haunts me every night like a scary nightmare
I confess sometimes I'm tempted to think you ain't out there
But I know you are due to the blooming petals of my existence
And though the rose of my life has got thorns of doubt
I will always believe in you even with a faith as small as a dot
I wanted to let you know sometimes I wish this life was a little better
For all It's been to me is tough and bitter
So I need some change, i need to feel at home instead of strange
I apologize for I don't want karma to hold to this revenge
I hope tomorrow my scars will hurt less
I hope the pieces will be fixed, for at the moment I'm almost heartless
There is a strange emotion inside I'm feeling
But I know that all I need is your love and healing
Ignatius Hosiana Apr 2016
I missed your poems and their beautiful eloquence
their smooth touch penetrating the walls of my conscience
I missed how they mutely speak and silently shout
out answers to my puzzles leaving me without a doubt

the numbing vividness of your darkness and light
the harmonic tone that steals every plight
your touching free verse like the owl misses the night
or like the sky in the night misses the pride of the kite

I missed the sumptuous confidence you portray
while questioning why it's the good people that life does betray
the little twists and turns, highs and lows
the scalds and burns, sarcastic arrows and bows

I missed the vocabulary which makes me scratch my brain
the pattering fall of letters dripping down my screen like rain
and the exceptional comic yet saddening stanzas
of structurally constructed pieces like paintings on canvas

I missed the flow of your torments on paper
tear after tear, weaving a mat of fury without losing grip
year after year, serenely reflecting the turbulent vapour
rising out of your heart pen ward pen ward and lip

I missed your pieces like the a refugee misses home
fatigued and desperate in foreign lands while they roam
physically and emotionally shredded, dead at heart
loathing, resentment coming thrown at them like the dart

I missed your art like the sand misses foot prints after waves
like those gone lie lonely forgotten in their graves
like lovers torn apart by destiny miss their kisses
I missed you,and your raw honest pieces
Ignatius Hosiana Apr 2016
made me realise being alone isn't loneliness
but the absence of one who matters,
one who has a place in the Heart,
for even in crowds of friends
I
still
feel
the
biting
cold
of
your
absence
