I passed by a wedding,
Yesterday.                 Two lovers
                  Embraced
Smiles bright
On their face
Even though                  sun hot
And breeze hard to find
Joyful their hearts
So didn't they mind
For I?        Old sadness came by
For what they had
I surely                       would not
Regardless of the gratitude
For what I have got
The vision before me
As I walked up each step
Nothing could stop me:
Oh how I wept.

There is a honey that
falls from the moon
when my soul, the bride of God
removes the final veil that kept me
from gazing at the face
of my one true Love.
As the sacred child within
spreads the roses of our love
across the church for all
to rejoice in our reunion.
And we recite the vows
that will bind us
beyond death itself.
I know now in this
timeless moment,
you have always
been with me.
Our separation was but a
beautiful dream.
Grateful I am, to rise
from the bed of forms and names.
To unite Here Now in
Holy Matrimony.
Death is the chariot
that carries me to my
wedding with eternity.

Love is a tidal wave
that one alone
cannot brave.

Unless it's a boat for two,
then the ocean is made
for the both of you.
I wrote this for my friend's cousin's wedding.

Meet me
At the alter
As I take your hand
For life
As I speak
To death, do us part
My soul to keep
For ever and ever
As i take my last breath
Never to hurt
And
Always to protect As
I look into your eyes
And get lost
Your beauty is amazing
As I grip your thighs
And pull you close
The bond gets stronger
As I hold you close
Whisper in your ear
Always
And
Forever.

Pure as baby's breath
Veils be blessed with good repute
when two becomes one

New day, new haiku!
Feeling better today, too, slowly but surely!
As promised, I'm moving onto the daughters of Hephaestus and Aglaia [aka Kharis, one of the three Charites] and the first woman of myth is Eukleia [aka Eucleia], who is a goddess of good repute and glory.

There isn't much on her per say, but she is linked with Artemis. Sometimes, people take Eukleia for Artemis. Well, that's what Plutarch did anyway.
Like her mother and aunts, she was known to be an attendant for Aphrodite as well as representing the good repute of a pure bride.

Baby's breath is known to symbolise innocence, which links in with a beautiful bride in white and I always like to think that Eukleia blesses the veils of every bride before they walk down the aisle.
I wanted to paint the image of a final blessing for a woman before she walks down the aisle to be one with her other half.

Anyway, thank you all for growing followers, I'm forever humbled and grateful for the support 🙏🌹💜

“Oh, what a wonderful wedding,”
Croons my best friend from across the table
“Yes, what a wonderful wedding,”
Swoons her worst enemy, agreeing,
Then, in unison strains, they both nod, decisive,
“Oh, yes, but what a shame,”
I blink, intrigued by the news ‘bout to break,
All whilst stabbing a fork at cake.
“The pure bride in white is a *****.”
They say, voices cacophonic and melodic,
“Her husband isn’t the one,
The one she hasn’t met yet,”
I sit between them, innocent,
Now utterly unengaged to the conversation,
Eating fondant; confounded; I don’t even know
Who the pure ***** bride in white is

I’d like us to take a walk together.

Let’s go over to the park and watch the ducks in the water. Let’s visit that museum and learn a bit about the war—we could walk over to the next town. Let’s walk on and on, until we break a world record for all of our walking.

But first I’d like you to meet me somewhere. It doesn’t have to be today, now, but one day.

You’ll have to do a little bit of walking yourself to meet me, and I can’t make that walk with you; somebody else must take up that role. Customarily this a man, but they are your steps to take, my love, you can choose anyone you wish. And I’ll be right there, waiting. In fact, if you look up, you’ll see me just at the end of the path.

Before we start this walk, would you say a few words? I’ll say one or two myself. Then we may have to take some pictures, and stop to speak to a few people—they won’t be strangers, they’ll be the people who love us most in all the world.

Then we can take that walk, you and I. We’ll do some sightseeing, perhaps take a swim. If you hold on to my hand, I’ll never let go of yours. Even when you don’t want to walk through that field where the grass grows too high, or you’re frightened of walking when the sun has long set; my hand will remain in yours, my feet keeping step.

But on this day, when you’ll meet me somewhere, I must warn you that there is a long-held expectation on how you’re to look. Because though we embark on a long walk that day, you may choose to wear a dress.

I think tradition dictates it to be white.

And at some point, on that day, you’ll be asked to answer a few questions. Only they’re all asking the same thing—if you’ll promise to take my hand, and walk with me always. And if you do, promise to take that walk with me, you’ll only need to give one answer to all those questions. It’s quite simple.

I do.
I want no surer ***** than your arms
You shared my happiness
The rose in my garden whithered,
But your love stayed strong.

The only beauty that is forever
Your angelic coming into my life
The only day of sunshine,
Yet never blinding.

I promise to love you compassionately
You're my forever
In your heart, I promise to stay forever
I promise to keep our candle burning

Seeing you in the crowd
Noticing your flowery smile
I picked a bright rose
A rose that keeps my heart alive

Our special day
The joining of us
Our vows from the heart
Moments I'll always hold dearly

You have become mine
I have become yours
I promise you,
Patience, understanding and tolerance.

I promise you sunshine,
I promise you little rain,
But I promise calmness for all storms,
Giving my hearts deepest devotion.

You're my best friend
I promise to give you the best of myself
Come rain
Come sunshine

Our love shall be stronger than hate
Our hearts shall beat as one
Our love,
A great sum than two in love.

I'll love you all my life
Meeting you,
I was touched by an angel,
Ending the bitterness of my heart.

Your love has me sure
Your love has brought purity to my heart
You make my sing
The angels in heaven sing hallelujah to our love

I stand at this altar,
Pouring my heart,
Telling my beloved,
The desired of my heart to our everlasting love.

I shall carry our love with me
I shall carry your heart with me
I love you
I shall say it at least once a day

I searched for good and beautiful
I found you
I searched for peace
I found you

Your heart
Where I'll always be
All I want is us,
Together forever.

Wedding bells in Thebes
Jewelled treasure about slim throats
Strife passed down bloodlines

900 poems! Oh my lord, I actually hit 900! Whoa! I've got something really special planned for later, haha! A nice concrete poem is in the works!
Before I hit the hay, I wanted to share another haiku dedicated to the goddess, Harmonia!
I too feel like she doesn't get enough.
And I can't help but feel bad for her.
Granted, she is the daughter of Aphrodite and Ares, but she is an innocent.
I know she relatively has a happy ending (in the variant myth I'm aware of), but she and her line didn't deserve such misfortune...
