I noticed devices,
the signs used in books to foreshadow
to hint at the written future
and at what is ahead to come

like our strides while we walked
or the difference in our shadows
that hints at our now-passed future
and at what has already come

it has been six months now
half a year since we have grown apart
and I'm not asking for you back
to be as close as we had come

just please think about me
was I important to you at all
if you left me as fast as you did
even as close as we had come?

just please think about us
and I'm still not asking for you back
it's just something to think of
if you have time left for me, love
for a friend of mine I lost and how I felt several months ago

Out my eyes
I catch the line
Horizon out of reach
I walk my feet
Indentured to old ghosts
I separate

Out my eyes
I cast the line
Horizon out of reach
For ease has had its time
A gift into the wind
For a peasant's sake

I've seen what comes with ease
My choice: to walk away.

We accuse
I accuse
Easily so
Point that crooked finger
Everybody's wrong
You're so right
There we've all been
Self righteous swine
Eternally the victim
Grow will you not
Evolve shall you not
Until you utter
Mea Culpa

Swathes of swollen, rolling hills
With chops of fluffy, dry grass scattered over. It’s nice knowing they’re also not perfect, no one has cleared away they’re loose ends.
Silver, bumpy cloud fluff is grasped and pulled along through the air.
Blowing wind is picking up planting a chill on my arms raising the little hairs like baby fuzz.

wandering through the misty fog
in a forest so vast
deep into it's heart
seeing it's beauty
stepping over fallen branches
gazing at the strong trunks
so much green
the fresh air clears my lungs
i don't want to leave
i want to be wandering through a beautiful forest right now, breathing in fresh air and clearing my mind.

I had no filter
I said what
I was thinking
Like I was talking
To my walls
I ran in messy
Spoken circles
With no
Conclusions
No concise plan
No destination
And you, you
Followed my
Footsteps
And thanked me
For the walk
You'd never seen
Such scenery

Though the lamp burns
all I see is the brightness before me,
yet I never watch the shadows of woe
                               that this light expels.

                            For within illumination
there is always things that even though
illuminated we shield our eyes from.

For every footstep may be seen,
but still we tread over the footsteps
                     of others shielding eyes.

For we may follow others paths,
     but there are still stones
             that are never read upon.

For every smooth path hides the weeds,
                         to ashamed to walk upon.

When you go walking down the street,
Who is it you wish to meet?
The best friend who once saved your life?
The ex lover that left you standing on the side?
Or maybe the family you wish you never had.

The world has changed and along with it the people.
Everyone from the north to south pole
Too busy to even think about themselves,
Let alone the poorer people
Everyone struggling through life to meet death

Wondering what it was all for when they meet the end
What was it all for in the end?

But you and I know we will never see the end
It hits us before we can defend
Questioning yourself will make your head cramp
Life has a way of flashing past, so fast
Too short for anything last.

You can't see it clearly
Everything is so blurry
Images flash by in a flurry
So who would you wanna meet?
When you go walking down the street?
On my way back home from an evening walk
I noticed ,as I always do
People
And what they do

A little boy with a bag of chips
Brought a smile on my lips
I did smile at him
He smiled back munching on his chips

Barely a few minutes apart
My son's friend riding pillion with his dad
Waved at him and he gestured back

A woman and her son holding hands
Taking an evening walk
The son my age or older than me , ageing mother some illness she had couldn't understand that
Felt blessed that we have people who do care.
Thanked the son in my heart .

Then,
A little girl and her mother , hands held
Walked past me
A feeling , I do relate
From ,
What  I had noticed
A few moments before, which made me a bit sad .

An old friend , a neighbour from yesteryears , she has twin sons .
I remember they were toddlers then .
One of them accompanied her
A handsome young man , Sure, he did not recognise me.

A little chat with my friend
And there , I reached home .
In my hometown
Neon Beaches May 2018
I walk along the beach
The whispering winds whip the sand into a thousand little pin ****** that gently sting my calves
I look out over the lustful ocean body

Sun reaches out,
it’s rays grab Earth in longing
But she knows they cannot be,
too far are they
Millions of miles apart

But still he tries,
For his love for her is boundless
She turns her back on him
She knows it’s for the best
He doesn’t let go until he disappears over her horizon

Her blue green eyes cloud over
She mourns a lover who isn’t dead
She sheds a tear for him,
her timeless, Golden Lover
It lands on my shoulder

****, it’s getting late
