I walked in grey today
intent on letting the scale
of the problem spiral

I sat on an illicit log
and allowed the panic and sorrow in
to grip my throat
fold me inwards
and paint the worst case scenario

but the day wouldn’t let me sink,
my river companion lazily waved,
sinuous fish flowing through,
two green blurs of woodpeckers
tickled me to lift my head again

The crowning azure flash
of the kingfisher
shocked a grin,
unfolded
and I was back to the dizzying
ups and downs of everything

I found myself in the darkness,
Then took a chance
And found you in the light.
Even though we're as different
As day and night,
With your hand in mine,
I know we'll be fine
As we walk the line

We had hope in the beginning
Before things went wrong.
But life was short as a movie,
Happiness a song.

We took those memories for granted,
Those moments long ago.
Now we only have each other
And time moves by so slow.

Watch along the horizon line
Past the trees and you will find

Through the skies being installed
Every high and every fall

Cloaked until again recalled
Nature once again redrawn

Clear for all who look to see
Our collective mother’s ECG

It's nice to go out
wandering and pondering
I should do it more
Written today mid-walk through the woods
Time to myself to think
Didnt see a soul for 3 hours :)

I watch my feet
It moves discreet
Flowing sand
I stand

It ebbs and flows
Comes and goes
movements twinned
enacted by wind

Mesmerised
Caught by the tides
The sea has come in
The moment... fin
Inspired by a walk on Talacre beach in North Wales
Miles of sand and nobody around

i never felt so much
healing

until today
i took a walk in the forest
and came out
taller than the trees

You said I was the only step,
       but you always took one

back..

Never walking us forward,
excuses, like I had to tie my laces,
or my feet ache you walk on.

But I never looked back,
and you never moved forward.

We were a distance apart but I'd only
                  took one more step than
you.

But one can equal more when its
not synchronized with your heart.

The next day, you had walked off,
we weren't even walking in the same
                                              postcode...

I took of the shoes I wore when we walked,
                and now I'm bare foot.

But you know what I'm walking further without

you.

My perception isn't clouded by your backward
        footing.

I'm free to walk without the pleasure
           of having to look backwards..

Just walking onward  without pausing to see
who cares how far my footsteps

have wondered,.

I'm strolling at my own pace
                                  passing with no goodbyes.

The lake looked luxurious,
Opalescent folds of china blue,
Twinkling stars upon water,
Gold russet rushes gently swaying,
Lime catkins freshly woven onto dangling branches.
A Moorhen wades in the riverbed,
Diamond ripples orbiting its sillouhette.
Plump new leaves bedeck the low horse chestnut trees and their fingers stream in steamy shallows.
Went to wollaton Park again today and the light was stunning.
