You smell like the second night
In a fresh bed of sheets
Soon to be soaked
In a morning sun
That has slipped it's way
In through the window to
Drench you in daylight and responsibility.
You worry what the others will think
But they're downstairs
And a ghost like wind
Will shut your door to hide you from them,
It will caress you and suggest you
Dive back into sleep again
But morning must end
And you're drawn back
Into the pretend game
That awaits you
On the other side
Of your second day sheets.

I watch over
your embrace of
everlasting slumber
fear has left
spirit released to wander
strength surrounds
your labyrinth unfolds
Illusion of quiet
amongst memories retold

suspended breath
sacred moments left
translucent skin
muscles soft and flesh
artistry of your journey
open to hearts that see
place of tender remembrance
sacred and loved eternally

foot note:i
I am often with my clients to the
end of their time being here,
after living and/or suffering for so long,
This is a blessing and as it should be.
I always feel honored to be by their side,
bringing all Love to surround them,
on their Journey.

Silence
Yet serenity can be heard
What is there to fear?
When all are dreaming
Content breathing
It pleases it
Knowing it's pets are far away
In a world they are safe in
While they reside in their rest
It sweeps over the land
To protect the ones
Who still lay in this world
The ones who are unable to slumber
Why can't they go?
Some fear it
They fear it's misdeeds
They refuse to trust
They might be taken by it

I wished for you
excessively.
  greedily.
     immeasurably.
I craved you for days on end
and finally,
   finally.
I got to see the way
your lips form around the precipice
   of my name;
I felt your hand on my waist
as your touch provokes every minute nerve
      in my body;
I drowned myself in the
   depth of your eyes
that glisten with wonder as you
      decipher
the spell you've cast upon me
and how it speaks volumes of every
   fairytale ever made;
and I have had a taste of all of this
    I've had you
    right within my breadth,
just until the warmth
    of the rising sun
  kissed my eyelids awake,
like the tender whisper of the
       cosmos
or the discordant bellowing
of the void
   as it reminds me:
      You are unattainable.
Right then again I was able to
   comprehend
that you will remain an illusion to me
until our paths cross once more
   and in that moment,
nothing will be capable of surpassing
      the bewitchment
   the resplendence
the luminance
of the mere reality that is you
This is actually the one I'm most proud of.
The body knows what it wants
But what does the mind want?
We shut down or get warnings
But our mind doesn't give us that indication
It just gives us vague reiterations

Sleeping beauty waiting for her kiss
It's been what seems like years she's waited for this
You don't seem to care
You don't seem to want to be there to save this girl with your selfish affair
She may be unconscious
But her mind is upon us
She's broken
& hopeful
& she realizes in her hazy curse dreams
A man can't save her
She can only save herself
And with that,
she's awake
?
I am the lonely chime at night
the one that gives you a fright
then you turn on a bright
light
and with all of your might you get out of bed
to check and see whats ahead
led down a dark and spooky hall way
the noise gets closer
and clearer
have you been looking for this or has it found you
spontaneous play on words, starting with a single letter into a huge mesh of words and phrases that only really make sense to me..

Tears are heavy
Behind these eyes
In the morning
They wait, and remain
In disguise,
Like a pool of lies,
Whilst sleeping they reside
Within myself I cry

A Wegner Feb 2015
I love you when you're sleeping
Even the way you rest your head
I love the words I want to hear
Though never hear them said

I love you when you're sleeping
I listen to your heartbeat
Feel you safe and warm
As you lay down beside me

The morning is a new day
For now, all is right
Which every night time comes again
Each time you close your eyes

Sombro Jan 2015
I slept in the forest and the willow watched over me.
Her roots ran deep, heavy in their drink
So that not her strength nor watchful eye should falter
And her stem hair should fall nonetheless.

I slept in the forest 'neath the willow.
Her fair arms outstretched so all would see
Poplar, Yew and Oak would see she protected me
And I slept well, yes I did.

The cold night air bit not when it saw whom I kept as company.
The damp earth kept its spittle away
For 'neath my tree I slept peacefully
Until the good morn' blessed us both.
I had a nice dream :)
