Whitney went fishing in the pond,
She wasn't alone too long,
But...she got mixed up with ****,
She should have bought a gun,
Definitely O'Deed the wrong one,
Not her idea of fun,
Whitney wasn't on her own too long,
Now we can't hear her songs,
She should have bought a gun,
Definitely O'deed the wrong one.......

Does it break your heart
To know that pretty stars
Don't shine on their own?
That others have been there from the start
Holding on to that light
For longer than you've ever known?

and suddenly
i realize
you are my little star
which sadly
means
i'll only see you from far
away
Leigh Marie Aug 2016
Each bit of nostalgia is a reminder
I will shine again
cause the people that are walking away,
are just dark clouds
making room for my rays of light to
help the ocean glisten or
the flowers to grow

I believe in fairytale endings and
new beginnings so
sometimes I give people too many chances
or paint them in shining armor
that's alright since I know that
my knight will fall into my orbit
that is to say, I do not need to be saved
but rather treated like the star I am

I have been to the dark side of the moon
and back again
I learned that the sides of me that can not be seen
are beautiful, too

I will shine so brilliantly that nobody
can ever forget how bright I am
those that question it, may be blind
or hopelessly confused
Regardless, this is not the end
or the beginning
it just is
simple as that

Black* *sky and dark *night
gives stars a shining light.

rain drops on green plant leaves
cloudy grey skies
thunder  and lightning
all happening around you
while you sleep under
your pillow fort

sun shining through trees
that are high above you and me
a bee buzzing around
looking for nectar in flowers
of pinks and purples

a small sail boat
drifting away in the deep blue sea
fishes swim by
unaware of the humans above
on dry land

silent walks alone in the woods
just you, me, and nature
birds soar and  land in a nest
feeding it's young

holding your hand
kissing your lips
hugging your torso
smiling and laughing together
and maybe some other things too

life can go by quickly
so take time to admire
those whom you love
sights that make you want to explore
and just experience things
you haven't before
I wrote this because sometimes you just need to remember the things in life that make you happy and are the reasons you're here and living.

I am the skyline,
I'm the night littered with stars;
My shine roars for you.

I am sun and you are moon.
Caressing countlessly
Cranes and Starlings swoon
With love effortlessly.

I paint the daybreak flawless
with color sinking in
Moon is gathering the waves
while Mantas sink and swim.

You wrap yourself in darkness
with holes and craters deep,
Orbiting a world that has you
shackled at your feet.

I can see it spinning, with
everything it holds.
And I'm afraid that one dark day,
it might just steal your soul.

I can't control your presence
parading atmosphere,
And must not always worry
That the waves will disappear.

Nor reminisce on memories
so many "moons" ago,
That orbit other planets,
of which we'll never know.

And maybe all this warmth
inside my soul so bright,
is overtaking judgment
and misjudging moon at night.

The heat within me rising
might be unwarranted.
So I will just shine brighter
and make flowers bloom instead.
symbolism is life.
Luann Jung Dec 2015
On this day, in this moment
suspended in time, I cannot tell if I am falling
through the world or if the world is
falling past me.

My life is a falling star.
An ancient soul with
nowhere to go but down. Nowhere
to run but away.

The sky is so cold and lined
with frost, grandiose in its sharpness.
Don't catch me as I'm falling,
lest I burn through your hands.

I am a falling star, with
a life as short as a flash and as
deep as a black hole. I am
a broken thing that still shines.
