A Simillacrum Sep 2018
Beside a full size bed,
full of destiny and dream,
a corpse dressed up
to fit among
the living, softly sleeps.

Carving sAl(i)vAtiOn in black
marker on the walls,
recounting upset memories,
I stick the landing.
I didn't plan to stay

In this depressive state,
but I'm fully equipped.
Adaptable to necessity,
without trying to fit.
I may be sad, reclusive,
virulent at my worst --

When will you
come to terms with this curse?
When will you learn
it's best
you be
who you
need?

When will you
fall in love with this curse?

When will you learn,
there's plenty room
for the misfit?

We were lying,
you and I, an eternity,
on the vast green grass of the fertile fields.
We were dreaming,
you and I, the realists,
of the wonderful world we didn’t want to explore;
of all the stars in all the skies we’d never see;
of all the love we’re missing out and all its heartbreaks.
We were crying,
you and I, the optimists,
for all the death that ever came upon the world;
for all the tears and screams of pain that filled children’s dreams.

We’ve been lying,
you and I, the eternal,
under blue skies for ever and ever.
These blue skies,
our shared grief and last hope of salvation.
For we've been lying
on the vast green grass of the fertile fields for
far too long.
For we’ve been searching for the same blue skies
far too wide.
But there is no other place like our blue skies
where we always meet in the end.
This is not a love poem. But if you prefer it as a love poem, enjoy either way!

I must have forgot
You can't trust me
I forget I am bought
My heart will open for a moment
But then the next thing you know it
I'm lost at sea
In this ocean of emotion
I'm in a battle of what I feel
And what is real
Tie my head to a noose
But just loose enough
So I can breathe
Balancing everything equally
Then darkness won't become me
We must "take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:5). We tend to let our emotions rule over the truth. This could be doubt or selfish ambition, which causes us to lose sight of God's truth and focus solely on our feelings.

I swear i've clawed myself out of here before
But somehow i manage to go back
The deep and endless void that is my mind
I always look out
There's nothing here but memories
Memories of past failed loves
And then theres a snippet of us
That moment when we first met
Suddenly, im jubilant
Just watching us
My beam of salvation

You may be conviced
You'll like it better when you're sleeping
But please hear this
Don't give to the blink
When I did, I found myself sinking
I fell asleep, internally bleeding
Don't start thinking
You may believe your sea is far too dark
But redemption is not that far
From the dark I turned to pleading, repeatedly
Asking desperately
"Come save me!"
And now I'm free
We tend to over-complicate things, including our salvation. When we're in these dark parts of our life or our thoughts, we think there's no way out, and we deny that Jesus can get us out of this mess. All we have to do is simply talk to God about it, recognize that He is still good and He can do unimaginable things, and ask for Him to help us out. And even if He doesn't do it when we want Him to, He is still good, and He is working for our good!

Death like all things
Are a simple state
Permanent in most
But subtle in others

Eternal peace must be achieved
Before death can be final
A life of wealth and luxury
Can never find peace of mind

Nor can a life of sorrow and misery
Find balance in all things
Life is a path in which to follow
We must choose the right path

Or we suffer eternal damnation
Fighting amongst our brothers
Spouting words of hate
Will never bring one salvation

Words of truth and love
Hope with all things
We attain everlasting peace
For there has to be a balance

Life must come with sorrow
As it also comes with bliss
Abandon all you don’t need
And share upon those who don’t have

Leave not in a state of anguish
But in a state of calmness
Shed the unnecessary
And bring only love

For when these things are at one
We find ultimate truth
Hidden in the mind
For us to truly see

Damnation in a ****** nation.
Your thoughts are only your own if you don't say them.
From simple complexities to advanced basics.
We are an oxymoron and it's time to face it.
That or otherwise become complacent.
Then you'll have an excuse for when the human race ends and you're in the last placement.
Words to ears are not superior to feet to pavement.
Enough talk, only action can save us.

The world at the moment is broken
It's time for everyone to be woken
To be brought to realization
And come up with a solution for our salvation
We can no longer ignore this crisis
And need to stop looking so lifeless
So that one day we can undo what we have wronged
And have this world go beyond
Feeling useless to help this world survive

hello, hello - who's here to welcome me home?
where's the committee with the chariot
the very one Hades rode on

i traveled alone
with people
in search of a salvation
they said existed
but only
with death

oh joy!
bring it to me in the form of love
in the form of a six three
forty year old man
Art
Art is my salvation
a gift to cure my soul
Catharsis from creation
Pens and brushes
make me whole
Laughter lends its colors
to a dark and dreary Life
Light invades my spirit
and eases what was strife
