Life is a workshop
and you are the project.
Listen to the tutor,
collaborate,
expect messy
and have fun.
Life's not a picnic.  It's better than that.

***** girls with lousy guys, drives me crazy
Maybe you shouldn't feel too sorry.

Old Sally, so **** good-looking but a pain in the ***.
                 "Oh, darling, I love you."
"You're probably the only reason I'm in New York right now"
I told her I loved her; it was a lie.
felt like five hundred thousand years, looking at all the phonies.
Ivey League guys with ****** voices,
a witty bunch of actors drinking their tea
and rubbernecks stand around to watch.
I was a ******* wolf, just wondering for intellectual conversation.
                 Someone, Anyone!
Just give old Caulfield the time to spoil your evening
because he's not sorry at all.
"A small project I did for the Catcher in the Rye where we were to make poems with words from chapters 17-19. They are suppose to be about his relationship with Sally or the feelings he has about her. Enjoy!

The outside of you maybe gold but your heart is a black mist,
putting your friends before your family is in every since a diss,
dismembered the brain you possess in world that is so tamed,
I don't need your time , don't even remember your name.
in a failed generation that you provoked , only shines through some quick tempers,
if you know about peace , love and faith then that's something that you can't deliver,
somewhere always losing your soul due to all the fortune and fame.
I don't need your time , don't even remember your name.

From a poet to another, here is my proposal.
Both a poem, yet offering, and I'm not joking!
Imagine your words written on screen,
well let me tell you my friends, it's not a dream.

I am offering you a 'Little Letter', to share your talent far and wide,
for today I'm starting a brand new project for all of mankind.
We write a poem for someone we knew, or something we hold dear.

Then montage flashes, an actor still, saying your words with passion.
For I ask you, hand in hand,
would you like to be a part of this?

__________

If you have read this far, congratulations!
I just wanted to say, as someone who loves poetry and starting to get into the love of filmmaking. I want to combine our two interests. I am creating a visual, slam poetry montage short film series called 'Little Letters', this series is about poems dear to you, about someone you knew or know and of course topics or objects you treasure dearly.

If you want to take part, feel free to email me at: louisacoller@outlook.com.

If not email, feel free to send me a facebook inbox: https://www.facebook.com/LouisaColler

I can't wait to start working with you amazingly talented people.
I am accepting poets to come and help write the series (you will be credited), as well as any potential actors (West Midlands location).

YOU LED ALL CAPS KIND OF LIFE
EVERYTHING WAS SET ON FIRE AND YOU WERE JUMPING THROUGH THE HOOPS
YOU NEVER THOUGHT IT WOULD BURN YOU,
YOU THOUGHT EVERYTHING WAS GOING TO BE OKAY
BUT YOU DANCED WITH THE FIREY LANDSCAPE
AND JUGGLED WITH THE UNCERTAIN FLAME
BUT I WAS TOO WEAK TO EVER FOLLOW IN YOUR SCORTCHED PATH
YOU BURNED EVERYTHING
INCLUDING YOURSELF
TILL ALL YOU WERE WAS EMBER,
LAYING BEFORE THE FEET OF EVERYONE.
EVERYONE, WHO EVER WRONGED YOU
AND EVERYONE WHO BURNED YOU
TILL YOU WERE NOTHING

Just as a heads up to any of you readers it may concern, I'm abandoning both projects in the header. The Drama of Miriam Marcus is something you may see pop up again, either in its original form, or perhaps as an entirely different project.

Dark Spells was a project born out of the recurrence of a common, deep depressive state that finds me time and time again, one you may notice without my saying. While I often romanticize themes of depression, anxiety, paranoia, self-loathing, and self-destruction, I must point out that I do so because I'm bound to these feelings regardless of stagnation, regardless of agitation. I romanticize my illness simply as a means to survive, as a means to still feel fulfilled as a human despite the haunting emptiness.

That said, recent developments in my personal life have unchained me suddenly, and I'm overwhelmed with the need to embrace the misplaced. Concepts like happiness, curiosity, and wonder are once again nearly tangible. As such, a project as thematically troubling as Dark Spells is not currently a possibility.

TL;DR:
Yo thx for reading. ****'s about to get a little lighter, a little softer, a little warmer. I succcc.

I’ve climbed the wall
Been up high,
Basked in twinkling lights
Told the past goodbye
Trapped in a corner
For so long, a passive
Doormat for you to come
And stomp your shoes on
In hopes that one day
It’d be me who once more
Swept you off your feet but
I have risen, I have seen
That life goes on, that
I could grow and change
And yes, my darling, it’s true --
I no longer desire
To be married to you.
Go and turn around now:
The door is open --
I’m telling you goodbye.

For my 2016 writing project, I’ve decided to write a single line of poetry every day for an entire year. Below, is December’s poem. Enjoy!

A year in the rearview.
A solitary month remains.
We must make the most of this opportunity.
Do now what could be left for next year.

I decided to love.
Chosen above all else.
I chose to be happy.
My reflection smiling back at me.

Be selfish in this moment.
Be better.
Devote yourself to something bigger.
An actual member of the human race.

I choose to give.
My fellow man deserves giving.
The world needs more of us.
These are armies I can support.

Lay down your arms.
Pick up love instead.
Confront the new year boldly.
Do so with bravery.

You don't need a revolution.
Lay claim to yourself.
Hold dear those you love.
Hold more, if you can.

Those are actions that can save the world.
Some will laugh.
Others will mock.
Let them.

They are the problem.
We are the solution.
We are the new year.
