L'eau, c'est un beau milieu ; pas vrai ?
La piscine est un bel endroit pour tenter de faire le vide quand les pensées dans nos têtes nous bousculent.
Lorsque tu y entres, oh tu as quelques doux frissons qui te traversent.

In morning hours my eyes open
Hurricane starts right away
Cannot stand on unsteady feet
Guess this is the price I pay
Living the past I loved
Abyss of pain
Moments gone
Loneliness the only thing
I truly depend upon
I cannot believe in hollow words
Or your beloved higher power
I can't see it with my two eyes
In my thoughts won't flower
Yet it is hard to wake up by myself
Solitude wears down sanity
Gathers on your possessions
Cursed to repeat this exhausting routine
Hateful emptiness rains onto me
Hate my body
Mind
Heart
And soul
Not for any person around
For the days taking control
I scream at the world letting me fall
Will for faltering under stress
Did smiling become a daunting task?
Do fatigued muscles need more rest?
I do not choose to be unhappy
With a permanent dusty scowl
I open my mouth to speak
Voice sounds more like a growl
I feel hatred bubbling over
With care try to keep it sealed in
The world is chock-full of reminders
Everything will never be the same again
Flat soda filling my coffee mug
Flat broke wishing my pulse would flatline
Mirror's angle exposing each flaw
Life I'm ready to decline
I am a terrible excuse for a person
In a museum of a house
All the rooms are testaments
To lonely feelings I no longer rouse
Living with bruised ego
Legs
And knees
Delayed reflexes
Lay down pride
Funny thing is I'm not a captive
Door is open wide
But I'm a bird
My wings are broken
Irony is that I can't fly
I breathe fresh air on my lonely perch
Love enough to make me cry
Caged in a pool created from tears
Can barely stay afloat
I'm on a flimsy raft
I'm in need of a sturdier boat
Every overwhelming day I face is terrible
People watching how I react
Stuck inside a glass cage
My prison is under attack
I did not end it very well I will admit haha

she floats in a pool of stars
letting the luminous spheres brush against her skin
as planets and galaxies pass her
men in white suits look to her in wonder
as they place flags in the ground
defiling a beautiful surface with their cheap decorations
wretched thoughts wash away into the heavenly body that holds her
a content glow shines within her smile as she carries on
through a sea of wonder and catastrophes
i hope you enjoyed this and if you did be sure to check out my other works

Some people do yoga,
Some of them pray.
Some people talk
and some hide it away.

Whatever the problems,
There's always a way,
To meditate on them,
Me... I just play.

We dip our toe into life's pool
and watch the ripples
affect the lives of those around us
hoping not to offend
but fit in, without too much disturbance

we may even walk a little way off shore
considering ourselves brave
to have come this far

but there are those who
regardless of how cold the water may be
will plunge head first, screaming
into the blue

I watch them, jealously
hesitating in the shallows.

Did you ever jump into a very deep lake or pool, you swim up, and you didn't have any air left a few inches below the surface? That's what depression feels like. Every day, with everything you do. You are so far down in the water that getting up for air is not an option anymore. It's easier to just swim down. Forever.
A "poem" every day.

I'm not saying that this is all depression is. It's so much more, so much more complex than this. It's so different for everyone you can't explain even if you have a million words. This is what depression feels like for me. I'm alive and here, and so incredibly grateful for everyone around me. (and the people on HelloPoetry to) Whatever you feel is okay and valid. If you want to talk, feel free to message me if you want. Remember that y'all are amazing and that I love you so much.

I'll be the first one to admit that you make me uneasy
Not for a lack of feelings or presence of some
But simply because you are the living embodiment of my past
And I hate confrontation
So when I see you there
Behind a metal bar round and round
Like a pool noodle in a blender
My heart stops
But alas to day is the day I find the strength to stand
Not up to you or against you but stand on my own

You see so many different people
At the swimming pool.
People with a diving mask,
Checking out girl's ***.
Children splashing water
On each other's floaties.
Mothers and fathers,
Making sure their kids are safe.
Two people swimming after each other,
Flirting with no words.
Old people swimming
From one shore to the other.
People waiting in line,
To go off the water slide.
A couple constantly making out
In front of everybody.
You see very hot people,
And very ugly ones.
Small, big,
Old or young.
All those people
Have one thing in common.
They're happy.
A poem every day.

This pool is bottomless; stunningly blue,
I find that I’m tumbling towards it with you.

We’ve fallen, and now that the surface is breaking,
our dive, beyond words, will leave us both shaking.

I see now, a lifetime of love in the making.

most of us are lonely
often our pools are too deep and
no one seem to bother swimming in our depths
perhaps it takes a skilled diver to understand
our inner core.

and because we feel too much
we drown ourselves in the pool of
sorrows, dying in self pity.
