Have you ever talked to yourself?
Not your average talk though
I'm talking about the person inside you, the inner you.
The child in you.
We hold on to our childhood deep down inside.
Deeper than our hearts. Look a little deeper,
I mean in your soul.
That person needs you.
Our emotions today
reflect a lot on our childhood memories.
The way we talk, act, and perceive others.
Give that child in you some time and dedication.
Reach your hand out to them. Help them grow,
help them understand the world you are currently in.
We often look and blame our experiences with others
as an excuse for our actions today.
It's not that.
There is a person inside you, you have to mend things with.
Your true self. Your inner child.
You.

I have found "a me", I have found "a someone" to be
I thought to myself that if this "me" I am right now, is not the "me" I am meant to be, then I don't want to be anyone at all

To the one overcome by other people’s struggles…

Are you some sort of therapist,
That so many lean on you?
They line up as if for an interview.
All this weight on your shoulders – unnoticed?

You don’t mind helping others.
But how are you supposed to grow on your own,
If all you ever do is groan on your own?
You’re still alive, but this weight – it smothers.

They say you gotta find a lightning rod,
To relate all your problems to.
Hey, that’s what you thought once, too.
But your immunity to pain – a facade.

The burdens of other become your own.
Issue after issue you assimilate,
And their privacy, never violate.
You know what you’re doing – it’s by design.

Your back has become numb to the weight,
You are growing stronger…
Now people will love you longer.
You exist to take on their pain – but wait.

This sounds all too familiar.
You’ve heard this story before.
This connection, you can’t ignore.
The man who’s already done this – no failure.

Jesus, the man who took on sin,
So much sin that He died.
He paid the penalty, but never cried.
But through death did he – win.

Could you compare yourself to Jesus?
Could you bear as much weight as he?
No, you don’t even have to ask an actuary.
He’s the only one who – frees us!

So what are you doing with all this,
It’s not your burden to bear,
To you it has become your snare.
But all this on your shoulders – dismiss?

It’s not that easy to drop.
It’s been there so long,
It’s part of you now, making you “strong.”
Someone else needs to make change – swap.

But if Jesus really took the world’s sin,
Then you can’t stand in His way.
You’ve gotta let Him win, give in to His sway.
But He also died for you – took your toxin.

“Jesus, please forgive me!
I’ve been playing God.
And all that reaped was fraud.
I am but a nobody…

“A nobody whom you choose to love.
Show your love once more!
I’m begging for that encore!”
Freedom – all you’re dreaming of.

All He asks you for is for you to ask,
And out pours His forgiveness.
He doesn’t respond with vindictiveness.
And He’s already done – an easy task.

Just like that, weight falls off,
It feels so wrong, the price still paid,
Jesus took your entire burden, an unfair trade.
With His life – down the drop-off.

Hell was reserved for your ilks,
You had your name reserved on a seat,
Jesus paid that ticket, gave no receipt.
Let go of regret – which only bilks.

From now on, you’re no therapist,
Now, fewer should lean solely on you,
No more line-ups for that interview,
The weight on your shoulders – also noticed!

You can share your own problems,
Tell others how you’re doing.
Your attitude, start renewing.
It takes time for healing – but it comes!

Don’t slip into self-sufficiency,
On God, you must be reliant,
He’s the therapist, you’re the client.
The trait of dependence – no longer a deficiency.

With your life, lead others to Him,
He is the One who’s strong,
In Him, we all belong,
Jesus – Love is a synonym.

People
A, B, C, and D,
started getting along
and were
somewhat happy.
Who knew that a
Person F
would come and make
such a mess.
The letters started fighting,
hitting,
yelling,
shoving,
shouting.
No one liked that
Person F
who came and made so much distress.
But little did the letters know
that there were
more
letters still to show...
Person F is here!
For all who read my last poem about letters, here is the Person F you've been waiting for! I know it's not exactly in alphabetical order, but I hope you can still enjoy it!

Person A
and
Person B
were together and
very happy.
Then came along a
Person C
and kinda ruined everything.
But to make things
a bit
more crazy,
came along a
Person D.
Now person
A, B, C, and D
are anything but happy.
Who knew that
letters of the alphabet
could be so nasty.
Inspiration came when one of my friends was explaining a confusing matter to me, and was using letters instead of name(which is good in some cases).

you're beautiful. beautiful
it's all i can see when i look at you
is this all you have to do?

i see the way you stop and smile
i don't think i've seen anything
quite like that in a while

it isn't just in the curls of your hair
or your eyes
but the colors that you wear,
the way your words shine

you're a sun, you are goldleaf
your presence gives me relief
from the parts of life that hurt me,
you're the one that fixes me
up

bring me up, up, up, up
i'm flying
on my wax wings
closer to you
and when they melt, i fall, falling right to
you,

you
are the golden ocean,
the sun on the waves, you set
me into motion

you're beautiful.
you're beautiful the way you are
your soul is the color of fireflies and
sunlit dew
it's why i have to write a golden song
for you.

your very blinks
send fireworks into the sky
you breathe in hurt, exhale
amber incense
this poem doesn't
even make sense,
anymore

but that's okay
because all things aside what i wanted to
say, was really i do hope you're having a
nice day.
maybe a series

Look at me
and see me.

See me for what I am,
For who I am.
Not who you think I am,
not who you hoped I would become
or who you want me to be,
not even for who you've been told I am,
but for who I truly am.

Even though it might break your heart,
disappoint you
or crush your soul,
accept that I grew up to become my own person
with my own beliefs and values.

Look at me
and see me,
the real me
not a younger you.

That is the greatest gift you could ever give me.
