I love the way your eyes twinkle
with joy when you're proud
I love the way your mouth crinkles
as you laugh, booming and loud

I love the way you clean my mess
when I'm too lazy to care
I love the way you put up with my sass unless
I'm being especially unfair

I love the way you can find
whatever I have lost
I love the way you always remind
me of things I seem to have forgot

Lastly, I love the way you know
I love you, even when I never say so

I love you, Dad

L’appel du vide

The call of the void
Is a deadly call indeed
Scary and sudden
It can lead to temptation

Like the forbidden fruit
Giving fruition to feelings
Twisted to most
But alluring to some

What if you...?

No, you shouldn't.

Fear the the dark call
For it comes unexpectedly
At the most inopportune time

A gaping chasm
Swallowing all other thoughts
Instantaneous and all-consuming
L’appel du vide
L'appel du vide
literally "the call of the void", is a French phrase used to refer to intrusive thoughts or the urge to engage in a self-destructive behavior during everyday life.

it is all but
Lovers
whose smile extended to their ears
indulging the moment. it
is just light afterall
reflecting the minuest
of ****** expressions
suspended and trapped
on sheets of film. thus
to create illusions of eternity
light must be held captive -
a victim
by flashes
lasting
a heartbeat.

it is none
but a failed attempt
of a millisecond
to preserve

Love.

If you check every moment
On the progress you make in life
You'll notice nothing

and miss everything

So you do you
Look back after a while
And be surprised by the life

*you lived

Each lives inside everyone;

We have little versions of others  pumping hearts
Sharing words with us;
An image, well more than that,
                           It's as if each one
Was a poem, a half-living poetry in motion
And it's good to talk with those.

Yet sometimes I have to put them all out to sleep,
Sometimes I need a moment with the dark.

I don't want you to leave,
but I don't want you to stay.

I don't want to see your face,
but I can't stand a life without it.

I don't want you close,
but I want your smell.

I don't want you to touch me,
but all I want is for you to hold me tight.
About my ex who's about to leave my country for good.

facing forward and leaning back
i'm in the moment, and i'm on track.
i'm living for tonight, but i'm breathing for tomorrow
and i'm screaming tonight, but i'll be whispering tomorrow.

there is only melting
melting from one day to the next
melting into each moment, to the point where
i don’t realize i’m doing something until i’m almost done with it and asking myself
“how did i even get here, to the kitchen sink to wash these dishes i was going to wash five hours ago?”
and then i remember
i actually got out of bed and walked downstairs
i am losing my mind
it’s a sickness like a tumor on the side of my soul
this came from a small essay i wrote myself a few months ago when i was in a deep depression. it was its own paragraph but i chopped it up a bit and took some things out to form it into a poem

Let's have a seat near the window.
Let's feel the wind that touches our faces.
Let's drink a cup of warm tea.
Let's talk about nice things.
Let's burst out laughing.
Let's enjoy each other's presence.
Let's live a happy life.
Together.
Forever.
