I, in a field amongst my peers;
We are so similar
Almost all the same-
We grow together
From the soil beneath
Our stems, our roots
Combining, clustering,
We are all connected.
I feel like I am different though,
     I have my own stem
     My own hue of pink
     My own pretty petals
     My own green leaves
     My own movement
     My own form of life.
I realize there are others
That look like me,
That grow like me,
That sway in the wind as I do.
     But I also know that
     I am my own flower-
I am not like the rest-
     I am an individual.
This field of wildflowers,
Filled with stems and petals
That may seem the same-
Yet so exceptionally different,
Is simply a community.
What makes this vast meadow
So whole and complete,
Is every distinct blossom
Coming together-
Creating a natural
Convergence of unique,
Beautiful, living beings.

The wind kissed my face
As you kissed my hand
The sun couldn’t hold a candle
To your bright smile
I bowed my head
And gazed upon the hidden secrets
That the flowers held between their petals

Together we danced
In our hidden world
Across the meadow
My love soared
I wrapped my arms around your neck
And rested my head
This was a night I wouldn’t want to forget

Every time we left this wonderful place
Our love stayed within it
Hidden in the crevices of each petal
I get sad when I think about it
Do you dream of that place?
The place that was once ours?
Oh, oh how I miss that meadow

I have a time zone of my own
I can stay from dusk to dawn
I feel like a dead meadow
I can't sense life,
I can't even moan

Silence is a sound
Silence is a text message
With just a smiley
Knowingly he cares
Silence is an image of the meadow
Waiting for the natural sound of the wind

Silence is reaching the top of the mountain
you look around in slow motion and said I did it
God **** it I did it!
Silence is just golden,
Silence is a sound

Amongst the monardas
Horsetail, Susan's black eyes
You can almost feel it:
freedom, life.

It could just be the heat.

If the sun lighten meadow,
were to fall to a land forsaken burrow
A shelter it once was, full of decadent greenery,
But, never it may be again the land of lavishing brewery

If the sun lighten stream,
would fade out into dim
Becomes a melancholic and forgotten drought,
An eye-sparkling land it was where all life would spread and sprout

The embellishing jade and lapis,
Deeply tainted to the faintest
By work of all demons alike,
The bright ruby can never be in our sight

Our treasures soon gone into abyss
Our jewels alive but shows no zest
Our land fainted and made
If only we kept out of the shade

-Sometimes sitting there in the shade will only diminish what you call light-

Falling, easing, pinging over the night
the rain’s shadow,
throughout the horizon
running between she and me

The leaf has reflected the inclined light
dropping her tears from the flight
nobody has meant it to care,
though I am in fear

The gleaming days have gone
I have made my passion too done
but she may be quite undone
and the fire of spring has made me to burn

Falling, easing, pinging over the night
the rain’s shadow,
no more turns can’t green her meadow
As if the pale sky kisses to sorrow

The rains shadow,
throughout the horizon
running between she and me
falling, easing, pinging over the night

There's a meadow past the village
On a hill...where magic swarms
You can see it on a summer night
When the clouds predict the storms
Life from time eternal
Starts appearing in the field
Gnomes and bluebell fairies
and the magic that they yield

You can see them from the village
Dancing in the moonlights glow
You can see the lightning jumping
You can see the ebb and flow
The pixies and the fairies
Folk who are part of their own world
Light up the distant meadow
As the magic is unfurled

Daisies and soft bluebells
fill the meadow in the sun
there is clover and some dragonflies
And young children having fun
The magic folk are hiding
Lights are hid, and tucked away
Until the humans in their world
Pack to end the day

It's then, from down the village
That the meadow lights begin
Where the magic lights the sky up
In the early gloaming din
If a human breaks the borders
Coming out and much too near
The lights go dark...and silent
For the magic world has ears

There are sentries in the meadow
All unseen to you
That alert the makers of the lights
When the humans are in view
there is magic in the meadow
magic lanterns are set free
where the world becomes a canvas
Of dancing lights for all to see
