I hate this feeling.
The feeling of the unknown.
I just want to scream and let it all out
But I hold it in and feel my chest tighten with every breath
You reassure me nothing is wrong,
So why do I feel like you are lying?
I gave you an out, a chance to ante up
I want to call your bluff but I'll risk it all
This was once so easy
Where did our words go?
Lost in between what was and now what is?
Let's get back to that

i don't believe you anymore when you say you care

this poem doesn't rhyme.
it doesn't have to
to still hold value
but by now you
have realized
that i was lying
about the rhyming.

Shatter me
slowly
I don't want
to believe

Shatter me
quickly
I don't want
to know

Shatter me
please
I can't handle
the pain

Shatter the
promises
that we made
together

Shatter the
answers
that turned into
lies

Shatter my
heart
into a million
pieces

Shatter my
glass soul
that broke when
you touched it

If the man in the mirror wasn't always first, then maybe loving you wouldn't have to hurt.
I am a selfish, destructive, lying human. Why do I exist?

I want to sing songs of peace
But Congress broke its leash
And some nasty snarling curses
With their eyes on the purses
Of a nation of slothful dummies,
Grafters, liars and rummies
Who either had some con game brewing
Or had no idea what they were doing.

This is the story being written now.
Ask any Republican to show you how
Reagan took away people’s rights
And they give them up without a fight.
If you just paint lies with the USA brush
And the fools bow down in a big rush
To let movie stars and corporate thieves
Tell more lies for the dunces to believe.

It’s a sad story, almost Dickensian
In which America’s men and women
Keep thinking we can stop the madness
And end this national reign of sadness
Begun with Reagan and running until now.
And expecting the GOP to show them how.
The GOP subjects them to more slapping.
The fools don’t see, relief will not happen.

It hurts the soul to see this horrific fate
Threatens to take down our fine old state.
“We need no foreign enemies,” some cried.
“Our downfall is coming from deep inside.”
Still some stupid voters with little sense
Keep pointing to Chump and to Pence.
There are still a few human rights to burn
By a voting block that never really learns.

there aren't enough words in the universe to explain
All the anger frustration and pain
I feel towards you
I want to scream cry and punch a wall
If it means I won't fall
Ever again for someone like you
Don't try to come back
And build up a fallen stack
Of trust that will never be regained
Under my breath I curse your name
For involving myself in your game
But I can't be called a fool for something I never saw coming

SITTING, staring patiently
debating taking silent leave
to heave my bones toward reprieve
and shake off all that's shaking me.
SITTING, staring patiently
I see the demon's point in me.
I see it shine, I see it weep,
and see it when I go to sleep,
LAYING, waiting patiently.
Horribly, these foggy dreams
do less to please
than psyche needs.
I feel a presence gazing me.
LYING, waiting anxiously.
Now here it is debasingly
teasing me insatiably,
promising my every need:
LYING, hiding everything.
What do we call this foul disease?
This object overtaking me?
A spoon and needle ****** me.
LOSING, hiding everything.
My sadness and sorrow can't be explained I'd be happy to exchange it for physical pain. A crushed heart thrown away nothing left to drain.

The flames don't burn as strong as they once did Struggling to see the light in the darkness.
Promising everything while giving nothing at all.

Beware of his lying eyes and his dementor's kiss It's a fate far worse than death it self.
I wrote this poem because with love comes with a dark side that can turn your world on its head.

At some point we all ask ourselves
why we do exist,
Why life keeps going on and on
until we are dismissed.

We try to create a meaning,
to the meaningless of it all,
A meaning that will help us up,
when life will make us fall.

"You have to make the most of it"
is what people say,
The most of school, the most of work
the most of every day.

The days build up to years
and time will pass us by,
We'll soon begin to wonder
if life just is a lie.

We lie when we are buying
those things we never desired,
We lie when we are living,
when all we are is tired.

Our smiles keeps fading more and more,
our laughs are never real,
We keep on dreaming of love,
yet sorrow is all we feel.

When we get old and tired
waiting  to be dismissed,
That's the time we'll question,
if we ever did exist.
