I see my reflection in the rain drops,
My fears are painted across the sky,
My ambitions have disappeared,
They go where the sun rays strike,
But today is a different year,
And I’m on the edge of my life,
there is a glow on this rainy day,
But It’s somewhere I can’t seem to find,
It follows the trees somewhere far,
All I know is that with it here,
Time will pass and everything will
disappear,
I’ll be okay,
and the skies will clear.

***
her petals wilted
a beautiful blue
radiating a subtle hue,
the suns beams reveal her glow
she carries her head high even when feeling low.
pushed and shoved
deserving of more love,
protect her with all your heart
please lean on me when you fall apart,
stronger brighter than any other.
the cold breeze and rough winds
bend your stem and take with them some petals
but babe your beautiful blue
your radiant hue,
will always and forever be a part of you
a poem I wrote about a close friend I was worried about but will forever cherish out friendship.

No matter how many times
I burn my hand upon the stove,
I can’t help but be completely entranced by it’s radiant and beautiful glow.
And oh god, how I need the heat it emits so effortlessly.
While I gaze at it longingly,
wishing to graze my fingers upon
it gently,
I was never strong enough to not get burned.
That’s what ointment is for I suppose.

At the end of the day , it's just you curled within you , within you ,
with your thoughts floating ,
even with all this gravity.

You are a woman ,
With muscles that
stretch and curl ,
With skin ,
Which glows.

I used to have an obsession with candles.
Their soft yellow glow shimmering in the air,
Their heat melting the surrounding wax,
Their wicks, a lengthy fuse waiting to be terminated;
Their glow shining upon the surrounding area.

They comforted me, like a distressed mother
Holding tight to her kin during a hostile tempest.

They flicker so,
In the still air moving to and fro.

So maybe, we are glow sticks,
that need to break to glow.

So maybe, we are caterpillars
who digest themselves during metamorphosis,
to transform into a butterfly.

So maybe, we are stars
that need to collapse
in order to shine brightly.

So maybe, we need to breakdown,
to pick up the pieces and cast ourselves
as someone different.

So maybe, we need to shed
to become a better version.

So maybe, all this
crumbling
breaking
collapsing
was never a destruction
but a birth to something beautiful.

The brightest flame in my life dimmed before my eyes
The light went out, she disappeared into the night.
To another, her flame begins  to glow,
To another, her heart begins its show.

The warmth hidden in her glow kept my fires burning.
Now it’s gone, the fire quenched, my heart cold.
But deep cold feels warm when filled with yearning.
And with this tragic warmth, I preserve your warmth for another.

The purest of affections are yours to share.
You choose to share it with whom you care.
Although my fire is but a remnant of the past,
I choose to share it with you, that your fire may last.

When the one I loved didn’t love me back
My fire burned cold it needed love back
As you share your flame with another,
I will endure in my cold dark slumber.
The glow in the one I loved kept my heart's fire lit. Now it's gone, and all I want is for her to be happy. Though that kind of happiness is forbidden to me, it brings me joy to know that at least somebody else gets to experience it.

Morning by morning
I wake to the glow
Of the Yellow Sun warming
The frost on the window

Melting away
All that keeps me from seeing
The dawn of The Day,
And deceptions of dreaming...

If I were a cloud drifting through space
I would never feel scared or out of place
I would float for days high in the sky
I would never need to question why
the sun would shine bright and I would glow
for all people to see far below
and when the rain came I wouldn't care
as it was tears of joy I tried to share.
