Across
mountain
peaks
like
the
spikes
of your
hair
my fingers
brush,
careening off
glaciers
and sliding
down hidden
slopes.
Curved and
crossed
as the bones
in your spine,
smooth
and
strong
like
the
gliding
wings
of
a hawk.
The tawny-colored
feathers
echoed
in each
iris.
A look,
haunting.
Chills
and
weightlessness
invade
my body
curled
next
to yours
in perfect
sync
to your
heartbeat.
Where
waterfalls
overflow
our emotions
capsizing
our lonely
individual
vessels
amid galaxies
colliding
each
other
on a
spiraling
journey
of
passion.
The heat.
Bronzer
than the
sun in
Summer.
My love.
My moon
and
my stars.
My one
and
only.
Just
two
out-there
planets
together
forever.
Undiscovered,
untarnished,
undefiled
by humanity.

A secret whisper
from
the
nebulas…

*I
   love
            you….
I've never been more in love.
Chloe Elizabeth May 2014
I was broken
I needed fixing
and I was wrong
to think you could
glue me back together

You accepted me
when I couldn't even look at myself
in the mirror
and that feeling rushed through my veins
like heroine

You were another one
of my many secrets,
I kept you behind my back

Eventually, I realized schemes
and lies wouldn't put out my bonfire
because it was only getting bigger

Three words...

Three words was all it took
and I was burning
But I didn't want to drag you down
with me so I ran

Then you walked away
You told me you walked away
because you didn't want me
to see you cry
but the look on your face
was painful enough

I can still see it
in the galaxies
beneath my eyelids

That's the only place you exist anymore

By Chloe Elizabeth
P.S. You're not a secret anymore.

.                                  Even if I compressed galaxies
Into a nebulous ink of stardust dew,
It would fail to, with words, describe,
                                  The beauty that's contained
                                                  In You.

We are all so worthless
In this vast world.
Us,
with our puny bodies and big dreams,
when we look out into
into the infinity,
don't feel so powerful anymore.
But yet,
every time I look into a soul
I find another world,
another cosmo.
We can hold galaxies in our eyes,
and every imperfection a star,
We can feel as if
we have made a difference,
But not really.
We are yet too small.
You are everything, and yet you are nothing.
Have you ever
Truly, contemplated
The Void?
Have you?
Really?
Ever?

It's blackness
surrounds us
In all directions
Wrapped in its
Utter empty
Dark embrace

And we spiral down
within it
Like a lost soul
In a deep
Gravity well.

Around a yellow
Many-blessed star
Which itself
Circles the
Frigid centre
Of a Galaxy
A wide, Milky way
Saggittarian armed

Which itself
Is moving
Circling away
from a point
with its
Peers contained in
The Virgo cluster

Away, and away.
One day to unite
Violently
With Andromenda
2 million years
Of light away

Herself
In a collision
So vast,
the heavens will
Tremble
And worlds
Will spin
Off their axis'

And yet, this
Is as nothing
When compared
To the void.
The nothingness
The totality
Alpha - Omega
It watches us
Mutely
Waiting
Our turn
To return

It watches all its
Galactic children
As they
Run away
Gravity wise
Forever, eternally
From the point
At which they
Formed/born

Heat, energy
Perfect symmetry
Broken and
Shattered
Resulting
In the Void

That point
Is where the Void began
It's career of
Darkness and
Silence
Its airless cold presence
Embraces all

And ever since
Its......................
Nothingness has been
Increasing
Relentless
Light year upon
Light year

Yes, it is truth
Nothingness
Is the true nature
Of this Universe
God's creation
That we think
So mundane

The one we feel
Is packed with life,
Woods, hills, tree
Small towns
Pieces of paper

But we live in a special place
Places that are something
Are the exception
Not the rule
Which is no thing
We are so rare,
like a single teardrop
In a pacific ocean of
Nothing

Beyond here
Up there
Down there
Across there
It seems filled to
Brim with stars
Twinkle with promise
But be warned

All the stars and
Galaxies (red and blue)
Would not fill
A millionth of a
Percentile
Of the universal void.
It swallows them
All, entirely

Gently staring at us
Forever
From its dark
Black eye

Think on that
And then
Think again
And again
You cannot
Contain it
No thing
Can

The stars
And all the planets
Nebuli and holes
black and dark
Are as nothing
Human beings
Thought
Ephemeral
Taken whole

Compared to the real
Stuff of Universe
Which is void.

Think upon it
As much as you can
On a cloudness night
Stare into the sky
And realize
You are truly
looking into
Eternity

A void so utterly empty
That all things
that are, or will be
Mean no thing
To it, its deep
black heart
And complete
Perfect
emptiness

If you do not
Swoon with fear
And tremble
With excitement
At the reality of
This fact
Of your
true existence

And of
Your private
privililge
To glimpse
At this no thing

From a tiny
blue/white
rock-made ball
Of a home
Trapped in nothing
Then you have not
Truly
Contemplated
The reality of
The Void.........

I've convinced myself
That we weren't meant to be
Just two stars that happened to cross each other's path
So as I traveled through space
I  searched for a planet to orbit around that would change my path
Then I could follow your path of stardust to the edge of the universe
Our bodies
Are really just galaxies
Held together by bone and flesh.
My thoughts are stars.
But
How can you expect me to
Recognize the constellations
That they could potentially form
When I’ve always ******
At thinking linearly?

Hell,
I have a hard enough time
Remembering
That
I am still alive.
I dropped a plate today-
That promptly shattered-
Because
For that very instant
I didn’t exist.

I think

Maybe
I was born
To self-destruct
Quite like
The most massive suns
In our universe
Detonate
Into supernovae.

One of these days
Out of the blue
My chest is going to start
Caving in
And my arms and legs will contract
And finally
I’ll flood out into the open-
I always did tell you
My heart was an ocean
Filled so full that it’s
Ready to erupt.

Well once I’ve emptied
My heart
My body
And my mind
Maybe
Just maybe
I’ll find the strength
To reconstruct this galaxy.

But I’d probably need some
Major work.
I need help untangling these veins.
Someone
Just give me
A diagnosis
Because
My lungs should work
Just fine
But I just
CAN'T BREATHE-
Surely there are vultures flying around
Grating my insides.
I want you to rewrite my skin
Dig up the graveyards
In my skeleton
And maybe
Help settle some of these ghosts.
I just wanted-
So desperately-
For you to find a home
Somewhere near my heart
That I tried stitching a home
Into my ribcage
But the seams are jagged
And tender
And it feels like they’re leaking
All the ******* time
But no matter what-
Whenever I check my lesions-
They’re healing.

Hopefully,
My structures
Will last longer
This time
Around the bend.

Because unless
You have your own scars,
You’ll probably
Never understand mine.

But we all do something.

You can’t fathom the leagues
Of deep dark arctic water that churn
Just under my crust
Or the monsters
Surfing the waves
Because
They tell you to drown your demons
But
I’m pretty positive
Mine have known how to swim
From the beginning.

You don’t see
The stress and anxiety
That pumps around
Through my blood
Igniting my body
And effectively silencing me.

Please don’t touch me
Not until you understand
That sometimes
All I am capable of felling
Is needles and razors.
The added pressure
Of your feather light touch
Might just
Cause a cave in.

Please don’t
Love me
Until you
Recognize
That
I do not love myself
But
I AM trying.

For the longest time
I’ve been so concerned
That
You might start
Seeing me
The way I see myself
But something really
Kind of funny happened
(I think)
I’m starting
To see myself
The way you see me.

My skin
Has been left to rot
Too many times
And WOW-
That really hurts.
My cells
Is still in the process
Of growing back
But it’s still so sensitive.

I’m swallowing
Your forgiveness
Because
I need it
For my own.
I cannot
Excuse
Myself-
Not anymore.

There is
No such concept
As
‘Beautifully broken’
Some of us
Are just better than others
At clutching
Bleeding seams.

You shut your eye lids and are transported into a different world, like flipping a switch, pulling a lever. Hours will pass by in my realm, but to you, galaxies swarm behind closed windows. To you, it will be moments before you awake again, if your slumber is dreamless.

If you dream I hope you dream of a world far away from here, but I hope you bring me along. And we can dance on the rings of Saturn, fly through Jupiter's core, and drink the sweet nectar of the Milky Way. Because when I am with you I hold my universe in my arms. I might never explore all of you, for you are vast, deep, complex. But I hope I can do more than scrap the surface. I hope I can dive into you and get lost in the Andromeda galaxy and loop around Orion's belt. I hope I can become so tangled that I cannot tell where you start and I begin unless I pay close attention. But I have ADD so expect me to wander.

Baby, while you sleep and galaxies pass behind your eyes I hope I can watch and fall into time with the rise and fall of your lungs and the drum of your heart. I hope we synchronize into our own awkward rhythmic beat like none other. To fall asleep to the music of your snores, subtle whispers that leak from your mouth, and the twitches your body will make life sublime.

While you are in a different world I will be right here, awaiting for your return to Earth.
