Something I've observed
and maybe you've noticed it too
that your dance is always the same
with steps well-tread, familiar;
a frown,
a concerted effort to hold that cigarette in place
before the resolution;
you sit back,
always one ankle resisting on the opposite knee,
contented.

The day we met,  
It rained so bad,  
We all got wet,  
Even that young lad,  

Some ran in search of spot to stand,  
Some looked around to find a hand,
Some happy they were as it did rain,
Some frowned so bad as if in vain,

Some wished they had ,
an umbrella to hold,  
Some closed their umbrellas,
though it became  mould,  

And there you came,
different than them all,  
Saw your dancing shadow around the spall ,
It was standing tall,

I loved you because you were different .

I came to you with all my love,  
Something I'm always proud of,  
You held my hand through the rain,
We danced together as if we're insane,

Like walking on a tightrope
Thinner than grass
There's no nets below
Better save my ***
Keep your head up high and don't look down

I look

All i see are frowns
There frowning at me
Why are they frowning at me?
What did i do?
I've  been through so much, I think i'm almost there
But the tightrope it stretches
I'll keep walking, but its not fair

The people below want me to end my life
They say "I'm not worth it" "Why go through this strife?"
Death is not the answer
Not for me anyways

So I'll keep walking this tightrope
No matter how far
I'll make it, you'll see
*Just watch me.

I wouldnt deny to failer,
nor bow down to it.
I wouldnt deny to defeat,
nor fall under it.

Am only human,
just a little girl.
Have made wrong and right,
but never have i expected perfection.

better than today's technology,
for i know when to rest,
and i know when to say "NO"

yes i can feel,
take every step with caution,
reflect to my past and still stay in the present.

i hate,
i love,
i smile,
i frown

and i have emotions just like you.

not because the world is a beautiful place, where happiness blossoms like an indian night jasmine in the hearts of every single being that exists upon it, no, you smile because sadness is relative. you smile because when melancholy visits and your face feels lank and rubbery, the only thing you know how to do is put on that surface smile you leave the house with everyday, the one that doesn't stretch to your eyes.
you smile because the world makes you frown and cry, and frown lines are unacceptable.

You are ******* perfect
From your smile to your frown
People adore you, I adore you.
