To the only guy I regret walking away from
It’s been more than five years
But the pain in your eyes still haunts me
Now that I can’t have you
          I suddenly want you
Now that you’re with somebody else
I’ll tell you I love you
Everything you said is like an extract from a good book
         It’s so beautiful and
              yet heartbreaking.

We hold onto memories
Of the people we knew.
We can't hold onto people.
They change.
Memories are always the same.

I lose my first life to lightning,
of all things.
I spend the next day
racing through a field of camellias
while golden hour twists the sky yellow.
They are redder than red,
like the crests of your cheekbones
and the tips of your ears-
even your blushes are incredibly focused.
I'm so happy I dont know what to do with myself.
I wait for you as you stand in the middle of the street
watching the sun sink into a kaleidoscope of orange.
Your back is to me
though I feel like I have never seen you more clearly.
You smile radiantly into the distance.
I want to care about things like that.
I want to love things, too.
My second life is stolen by fire.
In the whirlwind of my return,
I find you waiting for me
with an umbrella and a smile
underneath the willow tree.
When I was younger
I thought there was a piece of the puzzle missing.
You make me feel like there wasnt even a puzzle to begin with.
I want to keep you
but I refuse to own a cage.
I trip on my way to take your hands
in the willow-broken light of the afternoon.
You laugh with your entire body.
It's like I have never truly understood poetry until right now.
You are the embodiment
of that peculiar space in between the seasons.
With you goes all things bold and brave and beautiful.
I've got 25 lives
but I love you like I hardly have one.
I intended originally to write this as prose but then I decided to stick to my habit of writing excessively long poetry.

My room has five walls

(and yes, I am not counting the ceiling).

Wall one!

It is the one with door which opens only from the inside.

So you gotta knock first to get in.

Advance apologies; You might not be entertained.

Wall two!

A window, the oldschool metaphor for freedom

with its thin iron grills and a broken pane

now serves ventilation purpose.

Wall three!

Useless it may seem, but this one is the most equipped.

With its big pale switch board crucified on it;

This walls commands the life here.

Wall four!

The proof of my existence,

this wall holds the old photographs with the pride of an artist.

I hate looking at this wall;

“Staring directly at sun may cause damage to the retina.”

Wall five!

This one is my favourite.

I could doodle over it again and again

and then hide behind the screen of my laptop.

Facebook! It’s funny to think about sometimes.

with a smile on my face
and a pout on my lips
i begged you to stay
just five more minutes
kiss me one more time

with tears in my eyes
and daggers in my heart
i begged you to stay
just five more minutes
kiss me *
one last time
// oh, how things change //
The days when I met you had been 5 nights,
Seeing all stars and sun moves,
I tilted around your centrum,
Forcing me to get dragged down by your gravity,
Leaving me spinning around your orbit.
What have happened during these 5 nights? Enjoy my new post :)
I arrived ,
     the narrow ,
          the unnerved ,
               and unwavering ,

Never was I any of these .

Instead I arrived like
a cold soaking rain .

As everyone was looking
for a change .

The sparrows huddled together
and talked cheap talk
with hushed cheeps
and eyed me
suspiciously
that point inside
your veins
that rips you from
your mind
the one that takes
your soul

it leaves nothing
for you
it takes what it can making
you feel
that without it
you’re not real

it’s drowned
you out
for more than five years
it took away all
your fear
but it’s left you with
nothing more to bear
than a deep hole
inside your arm
that you can only see
with empty brown eyes

I can only say I’ve tried
more than a few times
to help you get it off your mind
but now now you’re only
crushing up more lines

with more lines comes
more tracks
which ends up with
less life and less tact
