You're just within my grasp
but I should know better.
Your heart may be promised for me
but your life is promised for another.
You're my peaceful trance,
my precious muse,
My once-upon-a-time dream
yet not my happy ending.
You'll remain to be someone I see
when I close my eyes,
My own fairy tale,
my soulmate when I sleep.
I'll hold you in my heart
as close as the stars hold the moon
You are my heart's treasure,
my mind's healer,
For you are the dream,
and I, the dreamer.

A Dream
or
A Goal
is
Reality
in
Progress
Read again from the bottom to the top

Looking through a Rose-tinted Glasses
I am a dreamer of wonderful worlds
Where stories of sorrows remain untold
Where joy and happiness are found on every chapter
And my life is a book that brings you laughter

I woke up, and now it’s time to live my life
It is a journey filled with cruelty and strife
And here, I am a coward who hides in his shell
My dream is heaven while my life is hell

To change my road is what I require
But the current have forced me the way
To bare my heart is what I desire
But I fear what others will say

How can I face this treacherous current
If all I have is weakness
Where can I find this worldly strength
If I’m blinded by my own meekness

Woe is me for I have forsaken living
To forget my pain, sorrow and misgiving
To escape this torturous reality
I yearn for my fantasy

The rug
Lying underneath your feet;
Been on the ground
So long,
It's stuck to the ground.

The fence
Standing deep, anchored in soil;
**** rooting down
So deep,
It's part of the land.

The frames are clean,
The pictures seem
Like history.
Once upon a time,
I was
More than furniture to us.

But now:

I want you to see me,
Like the door you can open;
I'm more than what's inside your home.

I want you to want me,
Like you used to everyday;
I'm that girl you wanted to make time for when you're alone.

Now, are you not alone?
Is that why
I'm the rug, fence and your furniture?

I know I work from home.
I know I got a lotta things to do.
I know I haven't lived up to the best of expectations.

I'm still that girl you fell in love with.
I dream beyond every bandwidth.
I take my time to really be sure.
I wanna do it without complications.

But I know,
I bore the hell outta you.
With my
Nagging that could turn ears blue.
But I
Promise that I love you baby,
You gotta see me in the light of the truth:

I want you to see me,
Like the door you can open;
I'm more than what's inside your home.

I want you to want me,
Like you used to everyday;
I'm that girl you wanted to make time for when you're alone.

Now, are you not alone?
Is that why
I'm the rug, fence and your furniture?
There are times when we are so much a part of other people's lives - married couples, live-in couples, friends, family, housemates, you name it - that we turn into their everyday lives in such an unnoticeable way. This poem is about what tends to happen when you get too used to having someone around.
I had seen a painting, entitled,
“The Portrait Of A Poet”, it was
perfect in its beauty, and yet
still, the viewer had not known
the secrets it held, the thorns
encasing the roses in the
garden surrounding her,
the book she held with
her heart’s song, the
symphony she veiled
In the sea of eyes
flowing from her
feet with faces
of a blank canvas,
seeking the color
of love, when they
gazed upon the
painting, they
did not see in
her eyes, the
one who saw
the beauty and
light in everything
within the greatest
suffering, they
looked past the
bird with the
shining wings
who lived in the
cage, she was
unaware of
her luminous
features as
her colors
were painted,
for the truth
of her lies
within the
flower of
purity,
touched
by the
moonlight,
she sits with her
demure hands
rested, gentle
and soft with
the gaze of
reverie, the
dreamer with
the heart
of the ocean,
opening her
embrace,
she seeks
nothing and
receives all,
the woman
with a soft
fringe
touching
her temple
once stroked
with her slender
fingers the
pages unseen
within the
books of
her enamor,
she was
enchanted
by fairytales,
and captivated
by the magic
unnoticed by
the ones who
possess them,
as they spoke
in cafes and
kissed within
the homes of
wondrous,
hidden places,
she saw the
rising stars
as he whispered,
“I love you”,
the man who
loved her
and longed
for her roses,
as he gazed
upon her
portrait,
as he
opened
as the
doors,
and they
sighed
in the union
of the swan
and the lover.

i can't stop thinking about you
why?
what is it about you
that leaves this lingering effect?
i don’t want this
i keep dreaming of you
its always the same.
and sometimes i get aroused
at just the sound of your name
in my dreams you are chaos,
always unfurling in your beauty.
you are indescribable to me
for words are just letters working together to be beautiful, and you are more beautiful than any group of words can ever hope to be
in my dreams you drench me knee deep
in your wit and soundness
you fill my head with such tender words.
i wish i could let you know how much
i love to watch you sparkle in wisdom.
how can i explain to you
that when i feel myself awake
i try not to blink an eye
so that i could live off your touch
for the rest of my life.
as crazy as it sounds,
not even in my dreams
have i ever dreamt
of a girl as perfect as you
and though i continue to dream in fear
i think we both know
i have secretly loved you for so many years

I'm a hopeless dreamer
A full-blown love-believer
An apologetic oversharer
Might as well give you my preprinted waiver

But I don't need anything
from this funny little human thing
you call a heart and stand tall
Non-believers can't get through my make-believe wall

And you're the biggest one of them all
Push and pull, careful, you might be the one to fall
Never heard of "we reap what we sow"?
Your love was only a glancing blow.

"Such a little hustler u were.
Anything that you wanted you got it by any means.
You have so many goals and dreams,
but they are all motivated by your many many schemes."
