the freckles on my skin
are constellations
waiting to be explored

We are matter that doesn't,
within secret stars.
An elemental chance
between Venus & Mars.

Collisions are what made us,
reactions caused life.
Somewhere in the stardust,
we connected eye to eye.

Feelings spelled out
in patterned constellations.
Our energies connect
on the same vibration.

Before we were this,
we were something far away.
Attached to the rhythm
of our own night & day.

Your heat as the Sun.
My cool as the Moon.
Linked together like water,
so closely attuned.

Light-years passed with your absence;
A black hole in my heart.
Your departure caused an explosion
& tore us apart.

Once fused, now alone.
Drifting from our Supernova.
Confused & divided.
In the dark matter, we were over.

Through galaxies time erased
& I became something new.
I found my twin flame
& felt a different Sun, renew.

We grow & burn together,
looking up at the sky.
Now here, we are what each other needs,
until the day we die.

But here you are in front of me;
across millennia you appear.
To confuse my heart & mind?
To threaten what's truly dear?

Two Suns orbiting one Moon,
a satellite love.
Let me learn from this equation,
I pray to spirit above.

I learnt from the old.
I grow with the new.
Australis & Borealis,
let your light shine through.
I've got a lollipop in space,
she's my saving grace,
with a gentle wrinkled
grandma's face

She has the Stars on a string,
makes the constellations sing,
and wears the sun on her hand
like a pinky ring.

She's light,
a delight,
always right
with a smile that fights
the blackest of nights
and hands that cure
anyone's plight.

She sugar on berries
when the path gets scary
and filled with the void
of wicked fairies.

A dollop on top,
the cream of the crop,
the rain in the desert
where it doesn't drop....

An Illuminating Force
nothing can stop
My grandma in the heavens.... my Lollipop.

i have always been in love with the night sky.
the stars, the planets, and the moon,
shedding their light on us,
sparkling like fallen glitter.
on clear, dark nights, i wander out to my street,
blanket over my shoulders with my sky chart in hand,
and gaze endlessly at the stars
picking out constellations and planets
soaking in the beauty that the universe has to offer.
i love it, and i always have.
but lately the stargazing has been different.
i go through the same routine -
looking at the sky, finding constellations,
and studying the mythology behind them -
but when i’m out there on my street
looking up at the night sky
i want you to be there next to me,
looking up at it too.
i want to point out constellations to you
and tell you about them.
i want to show you the planets
that you never realized you could see before.
i want to tell you all about this beautiful part of nature
that i love so deeply with my whole heart -
and yet i can’t.
because when i’m out on my street
i’m out there alone
gazing at the night sky in pure solitude
and i can only dream that you are next to me.

I want to hold you like a breath,
Even if it leads to my death.
And I swear that the only place for me
is right beside you.

I’m right behind you.
I’m not a million miles away.
You’re my reason to stay.

Love’s a dangerous game
Some days you have to play
I can’t push my heart away
I can’t keep my love at bay
I want to do more than surviving another day

And I’m soaring
too close to the sun.
A heat wave
That left me undone.
Love was worth it
In the long run
Even if the day is done

The stars are in my eyes
Now that the sun has set
I’ve found my own constellations
I’m not finished yet

When the dead look up
We are their constellations
Until we burn out

constellations line your back
your very own tattoo of the skies map
you've got stardust coursing through your veins
forever showing your heart the way
and you've got galaxies in your eyes
baby don't you see it
you were born to shine

stars exposed along her back
bordering constellations down
to her thighs wonderful expressions continued throughout her body
vivid hallucinations and disturbing illusions
control her unconscious mind as she feels
the painful machines puncture her brain

she’s not like the rest of us
she’s the future of humanity
not really sure what this is

I want to hold your hand and never let go
I want to kiss and cuddle and talk
I want to make dinner with you even though I don’t know how to cook
I want to hold you in your worst and in your best
I want to dance through the night in your arms even though I’m scared to dance
I want you to kiss the back of my hands and catch the tears on my cheeks
I want all those late night talks and all the ‘I Love You’s
I want to argue with you about who hangs up first on the phone
I want to count the stars with you and form our own constellations

I want to know all of this
about us

We wonder when the Dawn
may finally grace the dark seas of the Night;

an endless abyss within which celestial beings of ethereal stardust align in
constellations
mapping Our lifelines
to places untrodden,
with disjointed souls
and weary, locked hearts.

the world hushes to a lull
in honour to the intricate crosses of Fates high above lands
adorned by silver brilliance of the moon

I wish I too
could be asleep the thousands that are
unbeknownst of what roads their lives are strung to

I stay awake in angst
wondering if right now
I were brought any closer to You
the You I know naught but as a distant, unclaspable figment in my mind
promised in some past life of mine
the reminiscence of that fated coalescence
living heatedly within as a vague restlessness
Oh I wonder where exactly is Us mapped in the constellation I see above me...
