skin like a frozen chicken
tired eyes
and a voice like smoke
braindead
unwashed
and you tell me a joke

wanting to laugh
but deep within
a thought of death
troubled
exhausted
so save your breath

a kind soul
with smiling eyes
in good health
you can't get to know me
how can I know you
if I can't know myself

Every thought is a battle,
Every breathe is a war,
And I don't think
I'm winning anymore.

The farthest sea
I could see
With my eyes
Indeed, my inner eyes

Like you told me
Hold your breath for a sec
Hold it in for me
Close your eyes for a sec

Flow with the river
Ahead of you
Let her carry you
Sure, you'll feel her
Journey, see, and heal, with your inner eyes
We celebrate annually a time of new.
Like time itself is a new concept.
Millions of people celebrating one moment
to hold the rest in our sweet memories
As if this one party could capture life's wrath
and life's breath in one glimpse.
Why celebrate now?
When every gasp of breath
is a feat in itself worthy of kings.
When time ticks every other precious moment
we mope around and wait till time ends
for us to spill out our gratitude for what was.
In the end of time, we list what we could fix about the past
when the past has gone into the void of the nothing.
I challenge you to a new resolution,
a revolution of tradition
worthy of breaking.
Embrace each hour
each minute and second
with the same exuberance
as the first, the middle, and last
like no other moment before.
With all the moments you breath;
as the sun rises and sets
and loved ones descend into the darkness.
Do not wait till next year.
Party like no other celebration ever to come,
for no celebration is inevitable.

The Raw, Wild West Indeed!

I'm in a raft you gently paddle
The sense of this argument that comes
To me and tells me I've been a wild fool,
Better off smothered, a tool,
That entraps me in this triangle
of guilt, fear, and waves of madness.
I am on the verge of a total meltdown
Because you sing gently and dip your oar
Into the water quietly.

All the time!

It's now finally sundown,
Still the ebb and flow of my nerves
Are unsettled as the world spins around me,
My stomach in a knot I can't breath.
This is the end and *my heads numb,
I can not feel,
There is one thing on my mind and it won't
Go anywhere so it disappears a distant hush.
There is the scent of flowers on your tidy scarf,
It reminds me of the fragrance of too much
Cologne. I try to escape but you hold all the keys,
*I just wish your boring "epic" show of modern
Over perfection would leave me alone!

Tangled fingers,
between our mingled air,
with our tangled thoughts,
and our hearts in tears.
We won't let go,
and for that we'll die.
But sometimes, loving someone
means you're willing to give up your life.
A little confusing.

Eyes closed as I lay,
I wish you were here to stay
yet fear envelopes my aching chest
and I worry that I'll never
rest beside you.
So I lie awake and count the breaths I take,
each one feeling wasted as
the only piece of you that lingers
is your
absence.

As the world wrapped itself
With this blanket of brightness
The sun outstretched its arms
Illuminating every existence
As the leaves swayed
To the songs of daylight
Grass and petals bathed in dew
The birds hum and took flight
While the rays journeyed onto earth
The skies paint themselves blue
I'm thankful to witness
This daily miracle with you
Being in awe of the world's beauty
You and I, under the same warm light
In a world of mistakes and fear
This definitely had to be right
In a reality of temporal pain
And of seemingly permanent death
Witnessing how the world rises with you
Gave meaning to my every breath
As I watched how the sunrise
Paused time and took your breath away
I finally decided that
This is where I'd love to stay
Sunrises with you, gave meaning to my every breath
Daylight really is a miracle <3

Don't blow the flame out,
You know it's not too late,
You may be down now,
But it's not the end.

The moment you feel like losing,
Know that you haven't lost.
Take another breath,
And give it another shot.

One last shot.

It's not such a bad thing.
I want you to know that,
In order for you to get high up,
There will be more reasons to stay down.

So give it another kick,
Push your self above the limit,
Because even when you end up going down,
You'll be glad that you have tried your best.

Your only best.
