Dear Hot Straight Actresses, Stop playing perfect lesbian characters on TV that cause me to become wet on lonely Thursday nights. It’s the equivalent of waving double chocolate fudge cake in front of a menstruating woman who has just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. To name a few, Jennifer Beals as Bette Porter on The L Word. Stop it! Naya Rivera as the sassy Santana Lopez on Glee. Stop it! Angie Harmon as butch goddess Detective Jane Rizzoli on Rizzoli & Isles. You may be in the closet but you are gay and stop! And Sara Ramirez and Jessica Capshaw as the married ****** Dr. Cali Torrez and Dr. Arizona Robbins of Grey’s Anatomy. You…you keep going. You two give me hope. Hope that someday my insanely high expectations will be met when my hot art collecting, sassy mouthed Doctor with handcuffs in her back pocket jumps from the screen and onto my sweatpants covered lap. In this crazy assumption that I’ll end up falling out of an apple tree letting gravity push me into the arms of a woman who fixes my broken sense of reality with a amazing great hair and a wedding proposal. Missing out on the Hot barista who gives me an extra large when I ask for a small or the Budding **** artist who invites me to her galleries only to realize her muse has oddly the same hips as me. or the Best friend who is still stuck in the shadows of my closet. Nope…didn’t see any of those. I’m too busy watching the **** tube to see what low cut tops they can get away with before they leave the set and back to their husband and 2.5 kids. All I’m asking is… …when is it coming out on DVD?

A Four day concert, created by Roberts, Rosenman,  Kornfeld, and Lang Was originally supposed be a three-day  music festival, and up it sprang But the citizens of citizens of Wallkill, N.Y. did not want their nice quiet town filled With drugged up hippies that would overrun, and with this idea they were not thrilled With many battles and protests, Wallkill passed a law on July 2, 1969 banning The would be concert from going forward leaving the town quite less enchanting Almost not getting off the ground, hippies all over demanding refunds for their tickets Stepping forward, Max Yasgur offered his 600-acre dairy farm so no one would picket The new location for the Woodstock Festival would be Bethel, New York No one from the other town would not have complaints or come uncorked Despite the many problems of people threatening to quit Woodstock got off the ground despite things still being chit This concert was poorly planned with two major setbacks, as news spread that it was free There were congestion of cars that policeman had to turn away, for as far as one could see Organizers lost huge amounts of money while hippies walked through gates without paying But it was estimated that 500,000 people made it to the concert and they came in swaying The music seemed to play non-stop as people sat and listened and some would play It was very muddy from all the rain of what it did from much of the concert everyday Listening to greats such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Sweetwater Can’t forget, Grateful Dead, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Jefferson Airplane and Ten Years After The concert ended and picking up the pieces began, that wasn't just the trash that was left behind It was the lawsuits that many filed against the organizers since beginning to end put many in a bind The greatest music festival in history later put to a movie that is divine Something that will forever be talked about from the summer of 1969 Copyright 2013 All Rights Reserved

I got a Black Magic Woman Yes, I got a Black Magic Woman She's got me so blind I can't see But she's a Black Magic Woman and she's trying to make a devil out of me. Don't turn your back on me, baby Don't turn your back on me, baby Yes, don't turn your back on me, baby Don't mess around with your tricks Don't turn your back on me, baby 'cause you might just wake up my magic sticks! You got your spell on me, baby You got your spell on me, baby Yes, you got your spell on me, baby Turnin' my heart into stone I need you so bad Magic Woman I just can't leave you alone. - Santana 03 June 2013

On love and astral travelling, Through the stars we're wandering, On the universe we're pondering, My eternal love, Napoleon, Intangible man, but full of fun, Our jewelled cloak of stars, We've journeyed from afar, Shape shifting, glittering, On love and astral travelling, I'm no Carlos Santana, I have no scarlet bandana, I am the oestrogen, Old Josephine, Where haven't we been? I have no testosterone, You're my "Yes, master!" Napoleon--- On love and astral travelling, Sentimentally wandering, Are you Angelus or Incubus? Reminiscing, reflecting, Comical groupies for loving, On love and astral travelling......

THE UNIVERSE AND THE ALBATROSS. (hum along to Albatross by Fleetwood Mac).
They'll call me crazy I have no care for this realm I'll find you on the other side with open arms Cracking smiles Tiny waterfalls from your eyes I can sleep forever knowing that I'll find you in my dreams They'll call me crazy for not being able to let you go But I know where my happiness lies I've promised to visit you every night Now I'm promising to stay I hate to see you're face turn with emptiness when I awake I've made my decision By: Leory Santana Dawn

Slashers Defined In response to my piece, Slashers, it was requested that maybe I could reveal at least which band or other info these great guitar players performed for to gain their claim to fame. I don't want to spend too much time on this defintion, but will give what info I think is pertinent. If you do not know some of the names I have presented to you, and you are a blues, rock, jazz, fusion guitar fan, I suggest you take the time to listen to some of their work. I have included some of my favorite incredible fusion players that do not have a super star following, but are renowned in their group of fans, probably mostly musicians to some degree. If you are a frustrated guitar player like I am, do not listen to the likes of Holdsworth, Johnson, Gambale, or Morse unless you love being tortured. Anyway on with the show. Eric Clapton – Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominos. Jimmy Page – Yardbirds, Led Zeppe, The Honeydrippers, The Firm Jimi Hendrix – not only what is, but, what could have been Alan Holdsworth – Solo jazz fusion player – hot Steve Howe – Yes, Asia - Progressive rock, jazz – Bill Nelson – BeBop Deluxe, Solo Terry Kath – Chicago (25 or 6 to 4) – another sad early departure Ted Nugent – Amboy Dukes, **** Yankees – The madman Jim Krueger – Dave Mason Band – solo progressive rock Eddy Van Halen – Van Halen Ritchie Blackmore – Deep Purple, Rainbow Jerry Doucette – Doucette (Mama let him play) Eric Johnson – Solo – New Age, jazz Frank Gambale – Australian- Jazz, fusion, rock Goerge Benson – Jazz Larry Carlton – Jazz, new age rock Marc Farner - Grand Funk Railroad Peter Frampton – Humble Pie, solo Joe Satriani - New age – solo Johnny A. - jazz, new age – solo Danny Gatton – jazz, rockabilly – solo Chet Atkins – jazz, country John Mayer – Pop, blues – solo Neal Schon – Journey Steve Lukather – Toto Masyoshi Takanaka – New age, jazz – Japanese solo Lee Ritnour – Jazz, new age – solo Leslie West - Mountain, West Bruce & Laing Monty Montgomery – jazz, blues (accoustic you have never heard) Wes Montgomery – jazz 40's – 50's Phil Keaggy – New age Christian Robin Trower – Procul Harem Brian May – Queen Rick Derringer – Montrose, Edgar Winter Group, Steely Dan Robin Ford – John Mayall, Chick Corea, solo jazz, fusion, blues Carlos Santana – Santana Ronnie Montrose – Montrose Steve Morse – Dixie Dregs, Kansas, solo jazz, fusion Trevor Rabin – Yes, solo new age Gomer LePoet...

WOODSTOCK They came from The South, The North and The West Coast 450,000 together for peace and music, half a million at most Richie Havens inspired all while singing his "Freedom" song Country Joe McDonald dropped "F" bombs his whole set long Carlos Santana amazed us, as he gave all and sacrificed his soul Arlo Guthrie with Woody's **** packed his pipe and smoked a bowl Canned Heat and The Bear asked us to work together united stand Levon Helm pounded skins and sang "The Weight" with The Band Joe Cocker warned us more than once that he might sing out of tune One after the other, CSNY, Alvin Lee, Sha Na Na midnight 'til noon Janis gave a piece of her heart along with a "Ball and Chain" Jefferson Airplane sang about Alice out in the pouring rain The Fogerty's sang about where they were born and two girls one proud And for the life of me I can't figure out why The Who played to this crowd Jimi capped it off with The National Anthem and "Purple Haze" the perfect ending to four long daze of rock and roll blaze So if your travels take you to New York Up State Stop at Bethel Wood, the place where Rock History was written in Slate "1969, when music was grooved in vinyl and carved in Rock" inspired by the song "Woodstock" written by Joni Mitchell

Α♥Ω GNOSIS, my friends, is alive and well, corrupting the hearts of the masses. They fashion a fable to fit their need until their crisis passes. An idol from here and a text from there – just a little dabble do… for a do-it-yourself epiphany as the counterfeit passes through. They lose themselves in names and mantras, thinking they’re mining gold – while the god of this world enhances the shine of spiritual lies retold. So get out your old Santana records, pass the **** to the left. Listen to Jimi and Marley and worse; it will leave your soul bereft. It’s the same old trip – the first century has seen all of it come and go: such transcendent explosions of heresy are worth less than the price of the show. In the local body of Iesous Moshiach our pastor has faithfully showed us: nonsensical notions of Gnostic obnoxiousness fail to enlighten – but load us with half-truths and fantasies, cosmic conspiracies, spiritually false revelation; which turn on the blacklight and dazzle the mind but maroon you in dark desolation. So I’d like to prepare you for several short poems exploring the way of the Gnostics. Though I love Elaine Pagels and Demian‘s Hesse, they fail to provide diagnostics…

I feel easy shaking under my skin. I want to jump out, to become free! Help me! You know that, as well as he, he gives life to the music and you can give it to me. Tonight I need space I want to give myself to your fingers and let you to take the best of me like he out of the guitar. I don’t mind even pain, because beauty is expensive. Take me, I’m surrendering to your touch and make place in reality for this impossible energy that wants to fly out of me. Don’t say it’s love – just play!

Darling
They say be happy about the days God give you to live to experience another breath and all the humanly things that makes a person human. But I can't stress it enough on how ungreatful I am to even be alive and go through the things that makes me think. On a daily note I wake up with my own germs and the thought of aging simply for nothing. I once thought as you age things will get better though there would be minor setbacks; however life has taught me well to never underestimate. In my dreams I see my death as beautiful as ever some in which I'm hanging from the rope tied to the ceiling of my fan and some where I'm walking upstairs in my apartment to make it to the top of the world falling from the edge. When I awake I'm left to feel misery of another day. I've met God and the devil... They look like me just on the flip side they have power over what's to come in my unneeded life By: Leory Santana dawn

Collision
Carlos described Jerry's guitar playing, as he exhaled- said it was like stringing beads carefully, craftfully, filling the room with a network of delicate colorful strands. He would know better than most- Santana jammed with The Dead, and there's nothing biased about his depiction- said he personally decorated by throwing beads around the room. I totally and completely appreciate, as I exhale,   sitting in my socks, soaking up a Grateful compilation track-by-track; a loyal Dead Head. But I don't see beads. I've never jammed with Jerry, but I feel at times that we share the same room, with it's hazy ceiling tired above the hanging art- this room with soft, bright walls fit to hold each and every note which collect neatly and gradually to hang later like dew drops on spider's silk. Maybe if I was there when Santana came through the door, holding a Fender and a bucket of crafts, And Jerry welcomed him excitedly through his beard, then maybe we would see some beads.

Hold me hostage within your misery I'll gain the walks in your path Push me furthest away Please don't lose your way out of the darkness The light from your eyes will fade away I'll be your eyes when you lose your guard Shall your rope be thin I'll become the extra layers You're reason to love And be in love Those two are always different Do know this to be fact I'll help you find your reason to wake By: Leory Santana Dawn

Soaked in your pain
I drove from I-95 over to I-90/94 Yes you can say I put the metal to the floor Drove all day and into the night Guess I was going to fast now smokey is in sight He stopped me and laid on me one hefty fine He said slow down and be safe wow! he was kind Went back to the driver seat to color in my log Rolling down the highway pretending to be a big dog Have a hot hot load and no time to spare Running my face on the CB acting like i have something to share All ready 3200 miles into this trip Just hoping and praying that I just don't quit Oh lord the chicken coop is open and pulling me around back Lucky me Mr. DOT man letting me know I have a missing stack Shut down of course till the repair guy fixes my truck Have to call the company now just to pass a buck Down too many hours wore out and beat What can go wrong? have a broken air-ride seat No border patrol or radio stations here in Montana Have only one Cd why on earth did it have to be Santana? Jamming to the only tunes, my truck doing all bit of 68 Driving illeagle to get there and cant remember the last time I ate I'm in desparate need of real hot shower but I'm almost at the receiver Stopping in to get some fuel, Just my luck got bit by a golden retriever This has been a trip from hell no doubt about that What else can go wrong? what that sound to notice I have a flat I'll limp the rest of the way have 10 mins. to get check in After I get unloaded and the tired fixed I"ll do it all over again.

Trip From Hell (pt1)
. I remember that old electric guitar, no name brand, a Fender knockoff, stripped and painted to look like an American flag because Peter Fonda made it cool That Silvertone amp, volume cranked reverb, two inputs, tubes, bass, treble, when Sears was the place where music dreams came alive because Dad had a credit card Out in my parent’s garage, Skippy on drums and John on bass Wearing shades in the dark like John Kay A tape recorder mike hanging from the ceiling Playing “The Pusher” at all hours Until the neighbors called my mom and we had to shut the door or turn it down, we shut the door Black light posters, an old couch, power saws and Christmas decorations We were gonna be stars, rock stars Chicks would dig us and guys would envy us Our hair down to our shoulders Incense to hide certain smells Bad *** wasn’t even a term yet, but we were Patch covered jeans, zig zag and faded denim jackets, peace signs and headbands, Santana and Arlo, “Alice’s Restaurant” Nothing could stop us I remember that old electric guitar, the guys are gone now, not dead, just gone I can still hear Alvin Lee rocking “I’m coming home” But somewhere along the line I got old (grew up) when I wasn’t paying attention I guess I still wear my hair a little long, a little and I have nice collection of guitars But that “Rock Star” dream faded long ago Now I carry a different instrument, I carry a pen... and it’s a name brand pen

I remember that old electric guitar
she slips away like fine thread Between my fingers she falls I still manage to pull her back After all these years of searching in the wrong places She kisses me Every kiss freshened By:  Leory Santana Dawn
