"pessimists" poems
Gentlemen of Courage and Ladies of Excellence, Toast to stolen prayers with rarer player’s hands; Soft in defiant laughter, when drinking their wine from the bowels of brines Sing along the Ballads of Heritage with Melodies of Exception; Boast, not a breathe, though sullen heirs ghost to fairer wearer’s air(s) of land— A settlement of Rapture and Resurrection, arid, amid dirt and sand and King and thy Kingdom sprout flowering tomb, and rosebud temple reach to the sky during the showers of spring Devours the crescent Moon in big pink petals of bloom; A garden so fertile it could look pretty in wartime— with Gardeners of Courage and Laborers of Excellence; (Lapse, not into digressions of Being and Essence but hands in the soil and planting the actions of kingdom come,        patient building of Spring Reign sure as the flame, the architect of rising Sun is (Daughters and Sons of kingdom came,       the soldier in a land been conquered and named; abandoned for the greenness of hope. )May it never come, Be All The Same; ( be gentle, though whispering wind) Seeds of Nextyear and the spores of Awhile, carried by the Wasps and the Clouds To the Gentlemen of Excellence and Ladies of Courage, illuminated, eyes from the flora of stars faraway forest floor of foreign       fears,       as the hungry Owls of Time prepare a final feast—       Consume the years between Here and Now;       Watching from blank perch, among       the Trees of Afterall; a place beyond expectance.       Sing the branches of experience, to wake       in Siren’s cipher; inelegant forms       of waking, ugly sleep on rocks of seabed; once was aboard a marooned skyline— Those Who Are Will Be again, again a serf in a wave of Time’s refraction. Neverending neverbeginning;                           Those Gentlemen of Courage and Ladies of Excellence, on the Day That Is, arrays of seers sayers doers displayers optimists and pessimists, toast to them         and their rarer player’s hands, Boast they, not a breathe, though sullen heirs ghost to fairer wearer’s air and land; Laugh and howl and dine, they drink their wine from disemboweled gourds         of their own divine— Warped, in jowls of hungry fix, no feast they fear, for they prey to the Owls of Time.

kiss my sorry *** and imagine a differential. divide it by two, see? this will give you the circumference of existential convulsion; you will see past the freaky book you can't read for lack of knowing and how absurdism scares you if you believe it. that's why you dropped The Myth of Sisyphus part-way through cuz what came to mind with all the drippy Dali-mentalscape spa of shread-dread WHATSyness! was Camus coming to so many a pessimists ending he had to turn it last second to say 'but in the end, we must assume that Sisyphus is happy' and all you see in your minds-eye is pursuit of this absurdist paradise for nervous thought-drawn chain -smokers is a gun to your head with one last glance at the ocean.

You! Hey. Good-day. I presume. Pessimistic flu. Hypocritical to annoy. The poor man's Rolls Royce -is the pessimists one good choice. They live with fragility, -unwilling rigidity, -and rarely tranquility. Some weep at morbid memories, -others at faithless fantasies, -do they (or you?) see the precipices -between the then, now and will be? So what if you take a blue bruising back-slap -for your lacking, a juicy reminding -for regretful whining, lifetime timing, -miraculous hopes of a future shining -because you're wasting your time -and not even minding! So listen, or in duller cases, read; -thoughts are naught but mares and dreams, -man made mind transparencies -will's the sum of immediacies -like waiting in your station -but you're deciding the destination -your journey fundamentally what you make it -it's simple but pessimists are complicated -would you not trade freedom for a life you hated? Pessimistic man, forget it Ranting is silly - you just don't get it You didn't see the golden beauty I bet it Gold is copper to you anyway What would Fibonacci say!

What's so illegal about wanting to marry? What's so illegal about not wanting that weight to carry? What's so illegal about inhaling the pain away? What's so illegal about not living another day? Our choice, our freedoms, once all in the same. Now apposed by laws and wars and the Government's games. War on drugs, anti-gay marriage, No more abortions might as well lead to "accidental" miscarriage. Suicides and trespassers both shot in the head, Hacking games and fake identities, you might as well be dead. Everything we fear the pessimists then "amend" Pretending to be gods as if their hands are to be a lend. What happened to the world when freedom was a lifetime? Not where fat bellowing rich men made ruling us their pastime. A rebellion is out of the question, For people are afraid of more oppression. Somehow comfortable in homes where brains lie with matrix, Merely made up of fools who are not creative. Sick of living in these countries of lies, Freedom is all I ask but it is what others despise. What's so illegal about being free? What's so illegal about being me?

What's so illegal?
Does an optimist or a pessimist write the better poem? Does an optimist with his rhyme and meter Writing songs of love, nature, and spring? Or are a pessimist’s dirges Of bitter betrayal and loss more inspiring? Both pessimists and optimists sing Soft, yet loudly their own song. So who writes the better poem? What is the better song? One of the marriage bed, Or one of love gone wrong? All sympathize with sadness; All feel the pangs of joy. Songs of rotten apples, Or of bouncing baby boys? So what expression does the better poet employ? Truth is they touch us daily. All just parts of life. Tears and laughter not unique to ********** or wife. Yes maybe optimists and pessimists are not so far apart, For both pessimists and optimists capture the human heart.

optimists and pessimists need each other to diffuse their respective perspectives. pessimists get too helpless. they feel everything is on them. it starts to feel like they think they're Atlas, or Sisyphus. pushing their boulder up the mountain, forever and ever alone. some inferiority complexes border on narcissism. optimists get too helpful. they burn so hot they forget that sometimes they can be as useless as the pessimists feel. most people that want to be positive, surround themselves with positive people. and negativity vice versa. this creates delusion. it makes happy people seeing all that's happy and unhappy people seeing all that's unhappy. no one group feels for the other and neither ends up feeling anything completely. you put yourself in a position where all your input contains a consistent confirmation of your stale, untested outlook. if nothing is tested, nothing is validated. that's just science. surround yourself with people that diffuse you. you need that tension. if nothing else, you won't get bored.

Optimists and Pessimists remind That the moon knows not it's own shadow, Or to be kind to the desert sun.                                                                                                              (Midnight, Noon, Midnight, Noon). Light: an unstoppable force, Dark: an immovable object.                                                                                 (Twilight, Twilight). Dead leaves turn into rot, Seeds turn rot into leaves.                                                                                  (Equinox, Equinox). Check my watch, Look at the sky- (Leap year).

This divided society putting most of us in poverty but can't do nothing 'bout it cause the computer cuts us too neatly Still upholding the divinity of Austrian economic theories when for the last hundred years the rise of the dollars been all about demographics & behavioral science Capital is nothing more than a natural resource I don't care that you got there first The aquifer runs wide please don't poison mine Profit is nothing but an unpaid cost of labor Cause I agreed to a certain pay I must work the rest of my hours as a Wage Slave Yeah, you could say it was consensual but don't have much choice when I got mouths to feed, a checklist of other needs, and no extra dough to risk buying exclusivity rights to plunder a piece of Earth Human Beings: We call ourselves advanced when we never been closer to death   Human Beings: We fear the government while proprietors with most control grab up more Human Beings: I get more joy buying things today than playing with the things I bought yesterday Human Beings: Millennial pessimists, riding out the apocalypse instead of promulgating progress

The Propertied
what is the meaning of life? some say its to find love, others say its get rich or die trying, some even say its to die, there are many people who have searched for a meaning, religious men believe the point in life is to get to there heaven to meet there maker, the pessimists say there is no point in life they don't see why they should care, Tbh i don't know who i'm inclined to believe, in all honesty i believe in my own meaning of life, "the meaning of life is different from each person, there is no one answer that fits all, there is no  easy answer either, we ourselves have to find our own meaning, our own passion and drive" i myself find that the meaning of life is to live, to run, jump, fight, cry, laugh and love, to feel everything thing that you can possibly feel, both good and bad. the meaning of life to me is to live like everyday is your last because really we only live once. so to everyone who reads this, Smile, laugh go to your friends have a beer, go to your loved ones and embrace them like you haven't seen them in years, because if we truly live once, live it likes your last day

What is the meaning of life?
Pessimists are good lenders - because they know I’ll never return what I borrow and it’s not worth trying to get me to return anything Pessimists are honest because they tell me I’m horrid and worthless and have no talent – whereas my wife tells me lies about how unique and fantastic I am and how I’m destined for greatness and fame the same lies my parents and teachers and all the sugary people in my life told me to believe in and so brought me to grief and megalomania– better a pessimist than incorrigible liars Pessimists let me do what I want: jump the queue, rob them in daylight steal their cars and take what I like - because they say, with a helpless shrug: “That’s human nature – especially people of his kind!” Pessimists tell me the world will end tomorrow that I’m destined for hell and I’ll never come to good – hey, that allows me reason never to try enjoy life for the moment and just cruise along and let everybody else die of stress and work-addiction *Pessimists I love for they validate everything I do ; truly, they were made for me, for they make my every wrong right…bless ‘em pessimists*

why I love pessimists
A sheer myst Of belligerents Pessimists Confessionalists And jobless degenerates Perpetually in progress Just kicking it On the Internet It's a little bit sick I just cant shake it This taste of ***** As I look upon it Then it dawned on me I'm also looking at me In the reflection Projecting what I see Deducting The white noise of irrelevance And filtering out the elements Fluxing With eloquence And moving into and on with it The back lit intelligence Telling me how to live The plugs are deep And I take more than I can give And together we feed On gigs of distractions Impacting The worlds tragedies Unraveling At our fractured seams The web unto me Unbeknownst to actual casualties I seem to fiend for the wars The deplorable horrors Exploring the contours Of the obscure But not to be as it seems Maybe just to blur the mundane away Merely may have it be The fewer the flames The better the dream Profane blasphemy With ******* means In ***** slavers Raving in the papers Of danker things Printed on the label In the stables of kings Pacing the ring singing From the knees happily So please Just disconnect me Infect me with reality Push my proprietary Philosophies installed in me Over the edge Make the pledge to disconnect But I won't Form the wedge of discontent But I don't In this very post I cast my vote And hope For what? I don't know Just always stronger than before And longer in the troll As the binary flows Through what I think I know Even though knowingly opposed To its rope of coping Moping from a beam Seemingly unreal Spangling from the Tink ... Straining to think And heaving To breathe Smiling in defeat I'll keep clicking From the sheets From when I wake To when I sleep It's a discatastrophy Condensing Collecting Calculating And presenting An electronic me Unto me Without grief And seeping Through the screen I'd scream But not one would hear me Help me? Help yourself .. The interconnected me

Two Pessimists Make an Optimist
They often tell you; "Look on the bright side" Don't be so down Ha! I'm smiling on the inside Honest I am I can laugh with the best At you're pathetic cliches And this pathetic mess That you call life Well, that's a joke We're merely exisitng We're drowning in the smoke You can dress it up And say:" Stay cheerful!" But to me it's no good I need to be dull I need to be real To see the bad side Because things don't go good No ones on my side And yes I might be a little pessimistic I might bring a downer on your silly smile But I can't pretend everythings okay The realist in me can only hide a while So I'll stick to my ways, If you don't mind Because when things do go well It's overwhelming joy I find So here's to us realists Us pessimists, us sad acts Let's laugh at the happy losers When reality hits them with a crash

Happiness?
These words flow from my pen As tears should from my eyes. But I find my cheeks dry For I knew this was coming. It was going too well For it to end the way I wanted. All it is really Is just history repeated. I cannot make tears surface, Even if I try, That’s the good thing about pessimists: Your hopes never get too high. Those words should hurt More than they do. But I’m used to that pain, So I’m not affected like I should be. Does this make me an alien? Untouched by an obvious emotion? I should be sad and hurt, But no tears come And my cheeks stay dry.

Dry Tears
By Arcassin Burnham Don't let your food get cold in these cold days, Not what my mom told me or anyone in my family For that matter, I'm in my right mind I don't really need a therapist, Working on a hypothesis to be an ignorant ***** Trying to make people hate me with false accusations which, Won't do good for you in the long run for your life is in abyss, Intentions were cruel, the world is so doomed, Laughing at us, Worry about you and whoever else is around because, In midst of darkness knowing you could make it special (special) You could make it special (special), You could make it special (special), Won't be no wealth collected, We'll be poor and defenceless, Be careful who you keep close to you with this independence, My family never listens to me , now here comes the end and, Don't make me say I told you so in utter hopes to really hope That we could make it out alive due to your petty ignorance, Free thinker , Glad To Say I'm Very Gifted, In The Center Of Wickedness , You Could Make It Special, Knowing God Is The King Yeah He Could Make It Special.... my favorite pass time when i'm saturated in my loneliness and the hands of the clock tick, tick on by and i've exhausted my google searches and facebook stalks is to open an anonymous text chat website and inquire into the hearts of faces I have never (and will never) see: *what do you think the meaning of life is?* I paste into every chat, delivered to their screens in less than seconds. you can have the most intriguing eye opening enlightening conversations with strangers. because i get atheists, and nonbelievers, and pessimists, and perverts, and not one person answers the same. and it's beautiful; no life could possibly hold the same meaning.

The Infinite Meaning of Lives
Who will create tomorrow? Is it the leaders of today? The ones who reach, posses Overachieve? Is it the dreamers For whom the beauty of imagination Is what springs hope for the future. Is it the followers? The ones who believe in Others ambitions and dreams? Is it the pessimists? Those who treed on The hopes, dreams and achievements of others? Who do you think it is?

Who?
I thought I knew how to string a web of realizations around my six of hearts, but playing cards and not cashing in makes no sense to pessimists that drink not often enough Emotions are hairy and tarantulas are scary Strawberry wine has a buttery aftertaste, he says So why am I feeling like I don’t know anything after expressing my thoughts I can’t sort out? What makes sense? Not these words Knowing yourself is figuring out the infinite piece puzzle you’ll never finish because they’re scattered all about to everyone you love But they’ll never complete you like you want them to Tears come naturally like rain from the sky Salty droplets, trickling down from your puffy eyes There’s a frog in your throat, croaking louder than ever Is this enough nonsense for you?

Word *****
A wound so deep that healing seems impossible, it would require lots of time and care if life can enable. Nothing can't speed up this healing process, coagulation is so complex in this situation of nonsense. Perhaps a paradox of this analogy, the sensitive mind that develops self reasoning without apology. The need for new collagen forms increasing tensile, preventing the healing by living the pass that stays for awhile. Deep'n with pain and inflammation, I can't stand the agony of this process I'm fill by intimidation. Life is too short I'm living on the edge, a wound so deep, time to heal I come to acknowledge.  The intricate process of epidermis and dermis repairs a barrier against the external environment, a scar of memories remain has a reminder of the emotional pain, sorrow and torment. The scar that's left behind will surely keep the pessimists at bay, subsequently time would pass and I must move toward peace and happiness that's the only way.

Our Choice
A vessel with some water, The proverbial impasse. ‘Tis often seen half empty, Yet it seems a half full glass. Who drank the last swallow from the half full glass? Is optimism on the brink? Will our pessimistic present pass? So we can fill the glass and drink! For all in optimistic camp Can we insure the world's survival? Can we, other gloomy souls revamp; Stage a miracle revival? Like a prophet or evangelist Laying hands upon the crowd A leper’s lips, once shunned, now kissed, A beggar not too proud To ask the rich to share some love Or a grain of understanding. Would manna, sent from Heav’n above Restore belief in those demanding Proof.  A sign or something else To kindle hope and quench the fear That our half full glass has shattered And the end is drawing near. And for those who suffer in the dark Is Armageddon on its way? Has the Devil gone and lit the spark That precedes our judgment day? There are cops committing ****** And crazies killing cops Are the pessimists so positive That the killing will not stop? What then, could be life’s purpose For those who have this view? It seems that all the pessimists Are a suicidal crew. Is there then a cure for pessimists? Or are they the smarter folk? Are the optimists so blind They cannot see the joke? For what, if not a joke Is a world without control Did God put all he had on ‘odd’ And then say, “Let’r roll!?” Every gambler has a system ‘Guaranteed to win’ God says, “Goodness conquers evil Compassion conquers sin.” But is His system failing, As the pessimists believe? Should we all fold, throw in our cards Rise from our chairs and leave? While the optimists are calling Saving wealth they cannot spend For you cannot take it with you When you finally reach the end. I have not the answer, Though I’d opt for Half Full Glass I want to believe in something That gives us half a chance. But speak out loud ye poets If you think the same or not. All entitled to a voice. Our voice is all we’ve really got. A vessel with some water, The proverbial impasse. ‘Tis often seen half empty, Yet it seems a half full glass. Phil Lindsey 4/20/15
