Love is...

Love to me is a commitment for an entire lifetime,
It stays with us even when we've gone past our prime.

Love to me is beyond face,  the apparent exterior,
Love to me is something deep far more superior,

Love is full of contradictions,  difficult to define
It's spectrum is vast, so tough to confine,

Love can make you laugh,  but can make you cry,
Love can make you bold,  but can make you shy,

Love means to hold on forever,  and to never leave,
Love means undying faith and belief,

Love also means to set free and to let go,
Love is never easy, that we all know,

Love can cause you immense pain,
Love has the power to drive you insane,

But love can also bring you comfort and peace,
Putting your mind and soul at ease,

Love is completely blind,  some people will say,
But love also makes things clear as day.

Motherly love is considered supreme,
It is commonly held in high esteem,
To some love is a sweet affection,
They feel for a sibling relation.
Often, love is intimate and romantic.
Sometimes, committed and patriotic.
For some love is for whole humanity,
It may reflect in their acts of charity.
Love flows within them like warm blood,
It submerges everything as does flood.
Love stands for trust and enormous passion,
Love also means nurturing and compassion.
Essentially all love is same and one,
An intense emotion you feel for anyone.

Love never promises you
endless happiness,
that's an assumption.



Love only promises you
a myriad of intense emotions.

Love doesn't mean
letting someone
live under your shadows.

Love means
helping someone
find their own light.

Don't call
                 dependency as love

Love is
             EMPOWERMENT.

The secret
of all great love stories
is really simple,
or
perhaps
it's no secret at all -

It's the ability to fall in love
with the same person
moment after moment,
day in and day out,
...
endlessly.

Your love
compels me

to love myself

You will hear
many definitions
of love,

You have your own version  
once
you're in love

I lose myself in you
completely
like the river merges to the sea
not knowing which is you
not knowing which is I
interconnected
interwoven
interlaced
no distinction
no difference!

If you ever ask me why I love you
I will never be able to say
No matter how much I try
Because how can I explain
such an exceptional feeling
With usual and ordinary words

Even if I use a million fanciful words
to describe how I feel about you,

Yet

words are simply inadequate
to express the intensity of my emotions
Words are simply ineffective
to express my truest admiration.

Because when love happens,

words lose all significance.

I wonder,
I wander

I wander,
I wonder

One leads to the other.

Life with you
is not about
attaining milestones.
It is simply
enjoying
every
moment
to the fullest,
laughing
at the misadventures,
grinning
at the adventures,
smiling
at the successes,
learning
from failures,
handling
disappointments
supporting
each other
when life is not so smooth
and inspiring
one another
to take the next step.

of strong tides of the river

strangely,
the feelings of emptiness
are quite heavy.

Even if we do not know,
how the future is going to be -

We have no fear to face it,
as we have each other's company.

True love develops trust,

infatuation leads to blind faith.

It was during my childhood,
May be at the age of nine,
I experienced something unusual,
Something difficult to define

I was sitting on my terrace,
Probably around evening five,
Suddenly I felt one with the universe,
I was amazed as I was too naive

I felt everything is connected,
I felt a strange vibration,
I didn't know how to articulate it,
Couldn't give my experience any expression

Now after so many years later,
I try hard to repeat the experience,
But never can I connect again
To that higher intelligence.

In the unknown dark abyss of mind,
When gloom and frustration twined
Which you oftentimes couldn't escape -
Those things clothed in black drape

And into the mind's deep recess
In which you have so little access
Where resides stress or depression -
That causes an upheaval in emotion

If only you can have strict control,
Keep negative thoughts on a patrol,
And your mind gains immense clarity -
These are an evolved person's quality

And this is also unquestionably true,
Strength and abilities are within you.

This year,
I shall set myself free -

from the old habits
that hinder growth,

I Will set myself free
from the doubts
that plague me,

I Will set myself free
from the prejudices
that restrict the mind,

I Will set myself free
to live life fervently.

to express the intense emotions.

words,
how ineffective they are
to share the deepest thoughts.

words,
how insufficient they are
to convey the innermost feelings.

words
become insignificant
when intimacy grows.

As I gaze at the leaves of autumn season,
A sudden joy arouse in me beyond reason.

Different shapes and captivating hues,
Each leaf is interesting, that truly lures.

Some are shades of red offering a vast range,
Others are pale yellow with a tinge of orange.

Among these colors you will also find some green
That looks immensely gorgeous and pretty in between.

Fallen leaves are colorful too but mostly brown,
I pick up some fresh ones to make a leafy crown.

You may wonder if leaves are really so attractive,
Lack of conviction may arise about my narrative.

What grand beauty these colorful leaves hold -
See it yourself, as it can never be really told.

There once was a big fat man,
Who went to the beach for suntan.
He relaxed on his chair
But an ant gave him a scare.
He dashed and crashed into a trash can.

blue-tailed damselfly
moves back and forth in the air -
sultry afternoon.

fluorescent green leaves
peep out of their covering -
spring springs all around.

In this impermanent life - we are struggling with some permanent pain.

cotton candy floats
all around the atmosphere
dollops of ice cream
on trees, buildings, cars and streets -
snow kindles my fantasy!

The sunlight,
Softly removes the blanket of snow
To awaken earth from winter's sleep.

And the mild breeze
Gently cajoles the cocooned bud
Out of her drowsiness.

Slowly the blossom wakes up,
Stretch towards the unbound sky
And the light drizzle
Freshens her to face the tunes of nature.

A playful butterfly and a bubbly bee
Greets the jubilant flower with great enthusiasm.
In the frame of time and space
Life after life unfolds in spring's loving care!

All of a sudden begins a mild snow shower,
It apparently looks like fluffy white flower.

I stretch out my palm to capture one
And flakes of snow cover me all at once.

As I look closely, they appear like a mess
But when seen carefully they do impress.

Snowflakes of multiple dimensions
Ignite my interests and fascinations.

Though most are broken and dismantled
As several snowflakes are entangled,

Still few have perfect shape
And they leave me agape.

A tiny crystal of ice,
Its beauty does entice.

But in no time the pretty thing melts and vanishes,
A reminder that everything in this world perishes.
