A distinguished flourishing of the human heart
is a rare find, but it can be found amongst mankind.

Gentleness and compassion are treasured gifts
they lift us from merky pits.

In the vast sea of space, grows flowers of grace
but to see such beauty one must taste, the bitterness of life, but equally it's sweet taste.

When your thirsts not been quenched and your souls been wrenched do not fall in sorrow, for all is not spent.

Place of Mind ~

My mind seems to often drift,
 Enough to let one confuse,
So much of the inner soul sets to lift,
Thoughts of empty thinking for one to amuse,
My lids over my eyes will eventually close,
 One of God's given rules;
Of every single spirit must arrose,
He makes no man as they are fools,
He created the human soul, and these are his rules;

Life is not given to you, it is earned,
In Death,   Life is not taken from you, it is returned,
To ****, by using the words of his name,
Shall regret, by saying it in vein,
The only holy son, wept his tears, and
                    shed his blood,
For he stayed silently on the cross, and
left to die but took the blame,
                  When disbelief brought storm, the
tears & blood were washed away by rain,
Since then, life hasn't been the same.
To be of woman, as Same as
                    to be of man,
Represent our soul and he'll lead
                    us through the sand,
To be guided and taught, as part of
                    his life's plan,
Walk with him, but don't forget to
                    ask him for his hand.
Give respect to all, in every
                    matter and form,
Your life will appear more magical
like it was the day that Jesus was born,
Don't let it wash away like it did the day of the storm,
Only one chance to fulfill your spirit,
Stand back and listen, I think I hear it...

You are the daisy that refuses to drown in the rain,
instead you continue to grow even through a hurricane.
You are the special work of art that no artist could ever recreate;
such a beautiful creation that there are many people you captivate.
You are the scattered sequin-silver moon dust in the sky
illuminating the darkness, giving people hope with your own lullaby.
You spread light in waves like the sea;
you’re incredibly inspiring to many including me.
You are tanzanite - a precious stone- so rare and valuable;
to everyone you meet, you have infinite worth - and that is admirable.

We are like a pair
of scissors: alone - useless
blades of solitude,
but together - Atropos'
shears cutting the thread of fate.

Hold your breath.

Count to Ten.

When you've done it.

Take it all in.

There is more to this.

More to your world and my own.

There is a beautiful sky.

Even though the clouds hang low.

With every death there is life.

With every sadness there is joy.

Just take a breath.

Feel everything around you.

Its purpose, your purpose.

Everything has a sliver of goodness.

A taste of what better days will bring.

Close your eyes, count to ten, time to get up, your day begins.

I don't understand how words
written in the sand,
words written with my simple hand
can make me think twice.
Or how being tethered to my phone
makes me feel less alone.
And how staying at my friends home
makes me wish I were family.
I can't change anything.
Becuase we deal with what we're given
we don't get to choose how we live and
attempts to change the world are just trivial...
Right? Wrong.
See, those words in the sand
words written even with my simple hand
could make someone's day better.
That's a change I can make.
A small step I can take.
And by connecting to the world with my phone, I'm never really alone,
I can project a positive tone
For my small audience to hear.
You see, change is waiting for you,
anxiously waiting for you to choose what you will do
to make your world a better place.
Even if it's as simple as words in the sand
that will put a smile on someone's face.
This is a piece that, besides a few words and punctuation corrections here and there, is unedited. It's something I'd like to call "motivational mumbles". I had this major brainwave of motivation, positivity and inspiration after attending my first open mic and hearing spoken word/slam poetry. As soon as I returned home, this is what I produced. I hope it makes sense, and that someone can connect with it like I do!!

Day dead bye-gone
Laying near the lights
Of the knights of the northern lodges
There's a border road
No one slip slides or stoppin'
And the neighborly, sleeping in a coffin

With enough keif
You could really bore someone
Took a rat trap out to the Ache Inn
We were drinking all the ways to down
Door's wide open
You know what were saying 'bout us now
He's a legend
I'm a legend
And we both go tripping through the door

You know that we are northern now
Heard you promise me at the north end of monogamy
Cut there from filament lead

Somewhere I heard you scream
For others' hearts
And in the limiest of lights
Hold the keys to a Cuban flight that you won't ever ride
It's time to up and die

*Set sail!

So there was this boy, actually my little brother
He was, uh, on an airplane and
He's flying to come home to me and my dad
Sailing above the largest ocean
On planet Earth and he was seated
Next to this woman who
He tried his best to make conversation
And really the only thing
My brother heard her say was to order a sprite
The woman was sitting there and she's reading
This, This really arduous magazine article about a
Third world country that she couldn't
Even pronounce the name of and
My brother's feeling very bored and very despondent
And then, suddenly there's this huge mechanical failure and one of the engines gave out
And they started just falling, thirty thousand feet
And the pilot's on the microphone and he's saying
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Oh My God, I'm Sorry"
And apologizing and he looks at the woman and he says
"Where are we going?" and she looks at him and she says
"We're going to a party, it, it's a birthday party
It's your birthday party, happy birthday darling
We love you very, very, very, very, very, very, very much."
And then, uh, she starts humming this little tune
Right before--

I want to remind you of the sun,
Its light will come again,
And no matter how dark it seems to get
The darkness always ends.
And I know it may seem impossible
Like it will forever go on
But I'm telling you the darkest hour
Is just before the dawn.

Mine Jane, mine Jane, alway's tormented by the gin that thou hast made; didst thou not remember from whence thou came. Forbearance mine love, wilt be tomorrow's praise,
If thou canst wait;
Hallow thou art,
Hold onto faith.
Take off thy
Kerchief,
Make God space,
To fill thy soul,
Wherein the pieces aren't hole;
What's worth more queen,
The world? Or
God's spiritual throne?
There is a preordained
Abode; Awaiting thee in heaven.
