Where dark clouds loom, eerily passing vile
Peek through and see the light
Radiating tenderly, it'll bring you a small smile

Beautiful enough to be loved
You are art
Your skin
Your voice
Everything about you should be envied
And though people will look upon you
Look upon you to sneer
To pollute the air around you with ****** words
You will walk with your head high
You are a Goddess among men

it's taken a while for me to realize that
im not as deep as i seem
im a poser, a fake if you will
im pretentious and i gloat and spew garbage just like the rest of us
and i know i can be so much better

i know im not taking care of myself as best i should
and honestly, i know it doesn't all go uphill from here
it's rocky and treacherous
it's down, up, and down again
it's getting up and dusting yourself off

i ******* up
ive gotten bad again

but this turn in the cycle won't stop me
i can't change the weather
but i can alter the atmosphere

we are all wanderers,
climbing this rocky mountain
it's never-ending and there's no peak
but if you tilt your head and change your perspective
it all gets a bit smoother  

let me tell you again kid,
you're not as deep as you think you are
and you're not as sad as you think you are

rock bottom is not a fun place to be
you can't control your battles
but you sure as hell can fight

Let's shut up a second and just think for a minute,
This world could be ours if we seize the day and get with it,
But I'm feeling weak, trying to inspire some others,
And open up more doors, like The Shire is troubled.
Relationships are growing years older, guess the decks age,
There doesn't have to be an end, there is always a next page,
I want people saying tenderly, "These written words connect with me,
I'll have respect for he who penned it deep for centuries."

So full of care and love.
  **Precious time given to others.
    Even when you're not wanting to.
       Cuz you're a person of nice quality.
          I have so much respect for you, friend.
            And you should know I will never let go.
               Love imbues your essence and your spirit.

The greatest love
Comes from the deepest heartbreak
The greatest trust
Derives from the bite of the harshest snake

The wisest people
Were forged by the dumbest mistakes
And the greatest leaders
Know what it means to hold that place

These are just observations
From a poetic inclined mind
I know many works are like this
But this one is special, for its mine

I'm facing down the beast
It's constant assault will never cease
It's ridged, but everything to it's will bends
Beyond this earth it transcends

It eventually leaves everything to rust and ruin
On and on it keeps on chewing
There is no stopping it, I'm only human
It's always there, always looming

In it's clutches there is nothing but change
It just loves to rearrange
Mountains it will not let stand
Oceans it will turn to sand

Every single thing, it touches and rapes
Even in the coffin there is no escape
It still munches and shapes

Dead and dying dreams, it leaves in it wake
Everything it will forsake
It's always there to leave it's mark
In the light or in the dark

So while we're here ring the bells, let them chime
While there's still a mountain, climb
After all, you can't change time
