We stared at the stars
For that was your home
You came from heaven
To dwell with me, a heathen

Why? I’ll never know.
But at the time I never wanted to go.
Then came a devil,
And I chaste her for she was on my level.

I know not why
I was so foolish to say goodbye!
I left you alone,
And now I’m skin and bone.

For in leaving you, my love.
I lost my life, now your above!
Do not accept me back,
For sense I do lack.

I now I know I was wrong
And now do sing this sorrowful song.
I seek your forgiveness,
Accept me not for I deserve the stillness.

So this is my recognition
Of my wretched condition.
Thank you for coming to the low,
And for the part of heaven you did show.
To the breakup's that were my fault.

Dear paperclip
You never slip
All day you hold
Documents untold
No one ever stops to thank
The one who is of little rank
But I shall stop and pay my dues
To the one who is now my muse
So thank you dearest friend
For all the help that you lend.

Life is fleeting
But my heart is still beating
So keep it still
But only thy will
For my desire is to glorify
And my want is to praise you till by and by
But while on this earth
I ask not for mirth
Only rebirth
And a chance to tell another
About about my heavenly father
But the day is done
And I petition, by your son,
For you to bless my rest
And may my slumber be your behest
In your son’s precious name
Amen

For no rhyme or reason do I now compose
My sentences in some sort of prose.
I write for fun and when I am done
I sit and read with uncertainty
Works I've added to this community
And thankful for it
has made me confidant.

If you felt the same
Could you join me in saying,
To the one who in their making
Formed this cite
Were we all can write,
Thank you Eliot York
We much appreciate your work!

Sorry I am a bit of a dork
But I was taught
To say thank you
And pay my dues
To the one who
Thanks is due.
So thank
YOU!

here's to every **** poem
i do, have
and
will write.

- thanks
for all the fertilizer.
I grew, I was planted in mire
but I grew.

I shared my shoots with
reaping roots,
and still. I grew.

Wind that tore came.
Hail that burned rained.
But I endured.

Pressure came,
I stood.
Pressure came,
I bent.
Pressure came,
I broke.

In ash I grew
Pink.
I cried.

You came.

You looked not
away.

You stayed.

You gave me
Life Again.
Thank you
