If I am a planet
then you are my sun
my centre
my light
you keep me safe
grounded
without you I drift
you are comfort
you are warmth
you sustain me
my sunshine

Ever since you left I've been falling asleep to this song
that I've started calling ours, and when you get back
home I hope you know we're going away to Mars to
live with the stars because **** this planet I'm tired of
us being apart.
Rhymes. Goodnight.

Fragile rock left floating through,
it sways to and fro,
among-st the abyss of the universe.
Shimmering dots paint pictures in our sky's,
visionary imaginations of what might lie beyond.
But Before we venture out,
we must repair what we have.
Tilting on the scales of life,
we hang steady in the balance.

The sun is so fiery, the Sun is so wild !!
Look at the Moon , it is so deary and mild !!

The Sun burns itself to spread warmth and embrace,
The Moon sparkles with borrowed light to softly caress !!

The Sun gives light and the Sun gives life,
The Moon builds romanticism to bring a new life !!

The Sun gives you power to overcome the fear,
The Moon is your best friend when at night you shed a drop of tear !!

The Sun and the Moon in the sky are never together
but they are like distant lovers who madly love eachother forever !!

she could turn a sentence into a star,
just by rolling it off her tongue
as if the universe was made to pour out of her.
her eyes were portals to another world,
to the place where her heart lived,
orbited by her lungs.
within her are a multitude of galaxies,
the map to each one etched across her skin.
i trace the pathway until i find the planet
that we first fell in love upon.
and i kiss her again,
beneath the same blanket of stars
that she exhaled the very first time.
she is made of stars,
every part of her is strung together with a constellation.
and i will travel the entire solar system
just to reach the brightest star
because i know that's where she will be.
you are my star girl

He walked into the new world,
Stared at the looming plants of varied iridescence;
Around him creatures chittered and swarmed
About the threat that had yet to convince.

"I mean you no harm, I have come
To escape the clutches of violence."
The creatures did not spurn his words
Or even offer defiance.

He doubted they understood a thing he said,
Yet something in his tone communicated
To these creatures that he
Need not be attacked or hated.

Aye, it was strange to witness,
For the people of Earth rarely gave such a chance;
They would sooner him die than listen,
Display his head atop a lance.

Someone’s world jumped
onto a cold set of tracks
at Jamaica station
early last week.

Someone’s world jumped
into the universe next door,
leaving us all for
being too human.

At the time,
I was trapped at Penn Station.
A pain spread
about my stomach
like a pen pressed against
a sheet of looseleaf.

MTA officials made announcements,
calling it a mechanical malfunction.

9 to 5 businessmen in
deep black suits with bluetooth headsets
groaned and bargained
for passage home,
ready to ride
through a stranger's graveyard.

Little kids ran through shops,
fingers sticky with frozen yogurt
and popcorn- surprise treats
used as pacifiers.

I sat in a well known coffee shop
pondering life and death.

The word suicide didn’t hurt
like it used to, but I felt
connected to this stranger.

I thought about
that person’s lover,
that person’s sister,
that person’s mother,
that person’s friend.

I thought about how
all of their galaxies stirred and switched gears.
A planet of theirs- tremendous or trifling in their own imagination-
collapsed and changed the course of everything.
I wondered if their galaxy halted and
each star and planet mourned or
if their galaxy smoothed over the craters
and dodged all the meteors and
didn’t even blink.

My galaxy shifted and
clouds laid thick.
Stars dimmed their lights in harmony.

A few years ago
or even a few months ago,
I would’ve cried
and thought
about following this
stranger to train station heaven.

But now,
I thought about
my sister’s galaxy,
my mother’s galaxy,
my best friend’s galaxy.

Now,
I felt sadness
but I also felt love.

I question
my exisitence
on a daily basis,
yet I still don't
know my
purpose for
walking such a
hateful planet.

I must say, I am lost.

Alone, Lone Wolf,
Reticent and aloof,
Abstract thoughts,
Introspection taught,
Introvert innate,
Not a lonely plate,
Fun book friends,
Delights never end,
A pleb, for what it's worth,
On lonely Planet Earth,
Jewel of the Universe,
Cosmos a vast church,
Life is creation,
Have we found any aliens?
Reticent and aloof,
Alone, a lone wolf.
