Lost Mar 2016
Here I sit,
crying.
Here I sit,
dying.
Falling apart,
quietly.
I'm not the only one.
But because fresh cuts don't don my skin,
I'm ignored.
As if my pain is any less,
at least she has someone.
Me?
I'm all
alone.
Sitting here surrounded by people,
I'm alone.
No one cares.
I'm not cared for.
I'm not okay.
But they ignore the tears,
drip
drip
dripping

down
my
cheeks.
Tiny splashes
unto
my keyboard.
Pain
so clear,
if
they
would
just
notice
acknowledge
care
hug
praise
adore
pay attention
love
support.

*If only they'd just,

NOTICE.
I wish I had the courage to take that blade to my skin again.

Butterflies
Don’t float around
Saying “Look at me!”
Or hope to be found.
They don’t ask for attention
Or to be admired
They won’t seek recognition
Or beg for your desire.

Their patterns stand out
Their colors shine bright
And without even trying
Their wings catch our eyes.
But it doesn’t matter
If we’re here or gone
Or if their beauty is noticed,
They’ll fly on.

I won’t ask
Won’t beg, won’t seek
Anyone to
Admire me.
My colors will shine
Even if they’re not awed
So despite recognition
I’ll fly on.

Momma notice me.
Momma can’t you see
there are tears in my eyes,
and scars on my thighs.
You see the blood
and you know it’s not mud
Momma help me
I’m all ******
I’m going to die
Don’t deny,
you know why
Momma,
look in my bed
I’m already dead.
And you didn’t even say goodbye
Maple Mathers Feb 2016

Far away
I’ll go to hide
The proof may be rampant
But the evidence, lies

I’ll leave no hint
Say no goodbyes
To search for my body
Would not be wise

The grotesque state
I may be in
Would do no justice
For your skin

I’ll disappear
In reference to
This ****** up state
Comprised by you

So only you
Will realize this
Is a demise
You will not miss

And when I’m gone
You’ll grow to know
I went unnoticed
Head to toe.

"IF THE PAPER WASN’T LIMITED I WOULD HAVE WRITTEN YOU UNTIL MY HANDS BLED."

2.
but why when you are a ghost
does no one seem to know?
much less notice, offer a glance
when all you crave
is one word
that you still exist
because lost inside of yourself
it's difficult to see that there is any worth

you know that famous saying
"notice me, senpai"

but heck, you're younger.
that makes me your senpai.
we could be a romance-comedy manga or anime.
so let's make a plot twist together.
how about
i write this on a piece of paper,
and drop it into your locker?
" "notice me" - senpai "
*senpai = someone older than you. could be in terms of age or level/degree.

which kinda fits since the guy im interested in right now is chinese but he looks japanese too so /screams internally/

Sinking down deeper into this body of water,
that's so cold I swear I'll freeze before they notice me.

Looking around the room I notice many things
The way people move their body without realising it
How the clock's ticks are slightly off time
How the ones that are shown as smart work the hardest because things do not come to them as easy as it does to the others.
The ones who just don't want to be there and the ones who use school as their escape
The writing on the desks that is not neat but nor is it messy
The stains on the walls from feet, heads and hands.
How one fan spins slightly slower then the others
And then there's me,
The girl up the back corner with earphones in, writing non stop to escape the world and hide.
I'm the one no one notices, even though I notice you
Even without looking for it, I notice all that people just skim over or try to hide.
I notice everything but all I want is to be noticed
Nothing special but I'm back now

This is not about me.

If you actually took notice,
You would know your daughter cuts.
She takes the razor everyday,
Cause they said she was a ****

If you actually took notice,
You would know your daughter's teased.
She is shoved and called names,
They said she had a disease.

If you actually took notice,
You would know your daughter's dead,
She hung from the rope,
And put the bullet through her head.

You try to notice now,
But it is too late,
Her heart doesn't beat anymore,
She has sealed her fate.

Her hope was like a candle,
Getting smaller everyday,
The flame of ambition snuffed out,
But her candle was never replaced.

She had given up on life,
But if one person has cared,
She would still be here,
Her life would have been spared.
I try not to notice
that you don't notice it.
I figured I'd give a 10 word poem a shot.
