Strike the match!
Light the candles!
Conspirators gather 'round!
For we have come to eradicate,
the world of the old,
the useless,
the weary,
and the crowned.

Watch the wax!
Drip down so fast!
Let this drop seal our order,
the world of the chaotic,
the frantic,
the paranoid,
and the crying soldier.

See the flames!
Light the faces!
Of all who gathered today,
the world of the noble,
the sinner,
the suspicious,
and the people stuck in dismay.

The wax stops!
It drips, no more!
The infamous clock strikes twelve,
the world of the lights,
the candles,
the flames,
and watch as they drip the other way.

Look, those candles!
They melt in reverse!
All that work was sent backward,
the world of destruction,
the pain,
the confusion,
and the candles never burn downward.

The candle has melted!
It's just wax!
It had cooled on the table,
the world of the conspirators,
the liars,
the cheaters,
but the flames were always stable.

We laid motionless for days,
Your fingertip touch calmed me.
The dark lingered forever.
Our clothes laid in piles on the floor,
And we held each other for the last time.

Let us watch the grass grow
While momentarily forgetting the snow
A few patches here and there
Although they seemingly do not care
It's all starting to melt
my heart, that is, it's something that's felt
Drip, drop, as down goes the days
Turning to puddles while lifting a haze
Shine as the sun may will
Growing brighter with every ****
Gaining beauty with every breath
But every breath brings us closer to death

Did you know
that I drink molten lava?
I like the way it burns.

I am not afraid of you.
I've let the Earth's poison
melt and destroy my insides-
re-solidifying around my heart.
You cannot hurt me.

****.
My insides are melting again.
And I cannot speak;
I can only observe-
eyes wide with horror.

I chugged you down
because you were the
only glass of water in this desert.
But your water
turned out to be acid.

And I am falling
down
        down
                down
into abysmal nothingness.

My eyes are wide with horror
because I'm watching my nightmare
take place in broad daylight.

(I'm falling for you.)

not digging this nausea. let’s just get to the high part.
loose my body. it does not even exist.
all in my mind, it’s only a matter of time.
til these moments come to pass.
left my mind drift away, let it float on to space.
continuum into another dimension, another one where i am nothing at all.
voidless disaster, turning light into darkness.
continuing the circle, letting you find your clues.
it all ties together.
i am here and nowhere.
here and nothing.
everything and madness.
*****… pure stench of melted memories that aren’t real anymore.

You are slowly melting
You were melting before we met
You had already chased heavens
And danced through galaxies

You are slowly melting
I want to travel the skies with you
But you're fading away from me
And I don't know how to make it stop

I want to melt away
Like an ice block in your palm
To trickle between your fingers
Leaving a chilly snail trail on your wrist

You'll blot me with a cloth
And wring me into the damp sink
To splash against the tears
Of the leaky cold tap

But what use are tears
When you're dripping down the drain?
They're only salt water
And I'm already headed for the sea

Not even the vast ocean
Knows the joys of being free

You found me as a frozen-over winter
     water infused into my veins
     slowly spreading through my limbs.
Me, turning to ice from within
and you, you saw the icicles
     growing in my eyes.
You thawed me, a spring warmth
     steadily cracking the glaciers
     until they broke free
     from my arteries.
And I, I felt myself melt
     in your presence.

Tiny buds push up
Popping their heads out to ask,
"May we come to play?"

Louisiana
Distinction between seasons
Almost unnoticed

Perfection now, but
mosquitoes will swarm us soon.
Spring is oh too short

The world is melting
Shuddering off her top coat
To display her skin

Spring-so colorful
But you want to know the truth?
Winter's more my style.
A series of haikus I wrote in spring. I live in Louisiana, so spring isn't much of a season :P

you
i found the type of person that makes me feel different
its so genuinely real
yet so unbelievable at the same time
like im jumping off of a high building
while im still here
just laying in the grass
tangled up in you
melting into the ground beneath us
