she once held a blade against her wrist
as she thought she didn’t deserve to exist

ready to splatter blood of red
the thought stuck in her head

she cried inside
as she lied

to her mother
about her lover

the lover who beat her every night
and she covered the wounds by daylight

but one day she found her knight
who gave her wings and might

gave flight to her wings
made her one of the kings

who brought her strength to raise her voice
she learned again how to rejoice

the knight was there for her every night
and every time she would see the mirror,
she would see the knight,
cause the knight was her

there is a knock on the door
in the dead of night
it's opportunity
trying to **** you again
With stories of folklore
A chaotic unity
Are you a knight?
Or will you complain?
Take a leap,
Or are you too cheap?

He  was the knight on the slender stalk of rose,
No one dared touch her beauty,
As petal by petal she opened her self gracefully,
His to admire and cherish.
Neither admirers nor bees and butterflies dare touch her,
For his ***** was worse than his wrath.
At last when every petal opened,
There she stood in sheer beauty,
A white rose,with a tinge of pink,
Lovingly kissed by the sunshine,
Her fragrance intoxicating.
Oh Rose! dear love,marry me,
For long have I waited for thee.

Through silky darkness, with
Whispers of twilight tearing at
The fringes of a forsaken veil.
I kneeled before the crown,
With tainted adoration.

For once, I fought between the bleed.
Betraying the rot of time against flesh.
Drawn to a broken throne of dead gold.
Eyes awoken to the fabric of her majesty.

A curved sword, a jagged dagger,
Quick to slip, slit and seep.
Armed assassin, of her corrupted right hand.
The pleasure, mine for the taking.

Dearest Queen, sing of death most damning,
I'll abide, leaving none standing.
Drift onwards, lightless legions,
Abandon hope and all your reason.

Armor clad, the blue knight sits alone
wondering why no one calls back

'Sure there's a dragon, but that doesn't stop them from picking up the phone once in a while!’

'Don't you think I have my own “dragons” to deal with?!’
cries the blue knight

'I know you said you don't need any saving,’

But

‘you should be grateful I even offered!’

And so the blue knight sulks
waiting to save no one from nothing

I can't feel your painful memories,
But they do linger and try to follow
I hope you know, if you'd permit it,
I would bubble-wrap your shadow

Your knight in not-so-shining armour,
By your side, yet watching your back
I would slay any beast in your path,
Not to imply you have a weak attack

But I would fight for you forever,
Even though I call myself a lover
However, our love makes me strong,
So I will raise my fists for no other

But never ever to you, my darling,
I'd only ever dare wish you the best,
Apologise if I hold you too tightly
And, with every day, show you the rest
My bubble-wrapped lover

I crave my own fairy tale
I want someone who feels like poetry
To rid the hopelessness from my romantic heart
And share with me a happily ever after

I don't need a prince or white knight
A pauper or squire is all that I desire
I don't require a gallant quest or noble steed
Eyes that are just for me is all that I need

I'll write my own tale to fill your storybook
Every page a poem of waiting
Till one day they are no longer of longing
And are filled with ode's to my one true love

My silver Knight,
shining with angelic splendour has sailed
towards the outer regions of my Kingdom
to lay waste to all my enemies. My heart in
hands, my hands are clasped, brought alive
with love, with light, with prayer.
Please, come back to me.
As I think of arrows piercing his breast,
or swords, or warhammers or even axes
I cannot, will not ever dance to the songs
of war.
A fire that claims souls, the earth that drinks
blood, a sight that makes my stomach turn
To see men fighting for a cause or no cause
at all. For war rapes all of happiness and loved
ones.
Oh! Begone tortuous thoughts! Revolting facts!
He will return. He will return!
For my nation prays with fervour, but all have
bleary-eyes, no more than me. He's gone to brave
the dragon's dawn - of men branded, fuelled by
the flames of war, riding into the fields on their
snow kissed mounts, roaring and clashing under
a broken sky; the kiss of steel, blades that dance
between life and death and give any and many
the kiss of Eternal Sleep.
The harp of his silver tongue plays soft, gentle and
true. Hand in hand, we walk through fields, of my
dreams divine! The ambition, the care, the charm
glowing in your eyes to be something more.
To you, I was a muse to climb and soar though the
heights, and you spoke so highly of my golden
sapient quill.
My heart, heavy, full of woe
As sleep has not come smoothly to my face,
my body, my heart, my soul.
You promised me, 'I will return to you.'
  'I will return to you,'
how your voice hung so sweet in my ear,
ripe with love, vibrant with hope, certain as the rising light
Please do not fade away, I could not bear it!
Please don't fade away!
Bring unto me that gold and joyous hour!
Fair the storms and roars; overcome the shores,
slay and return to me from the dragon's dawn,
unscathed and with a smile on your handsome
face.
