it’s funny how passion that fills you up to overflow and floods through your system can fade so fast.

like your favorite pair of jeans, made to last, but one day you look back and they aren’t the same.
they don’t fit the same way,
the color isn’t there.
the brightness and perfect feeling is gone.
and yeah they still fit, but it’s gone from a ****, heady-feeling fit to a soft comfortable daily-existence fit. i don’t know if i’m talking about jeans anymore.

passion fades, so do jeans.

but that doesn’t mean your favorite pair of jeans isn’t still your favorite pair. it’s just a different kind of favorite, they’re your favorite because they’ve stuck through it all with you, because there’s memories with those jeans, because there’s nostalgia and pictures and good times and god suddenly that passion is flooding through you again, rich and full and sweeter now.

so what if passion fades, you had it. it’s in there somewhere, and there’s nothing quite like those jeans to bring it back out of you.

This is why we burn and we fade
because we are mere gasoline
attracted to flames.
i'm having cereal in bed right now while i'm on my laptop, writing. have a fun day, everyone!

I’m gasping for air in an ocean of doubt
And insecurities crashing like waves
One day I’ll drown, fading out
I hope you’ll find my grave.

But am I still breathing?
I’m barely holding on
Feels like I’ve been dreaming
But I’ll be gone by dawn. ♡

Rays of sunlight shining dimly at dawn
Slowly illuminating the fading night sky
Stars becoming invisible as morning comes
As cirrus clouds streak the early morning skies

Morning traffic jams slowly building up
Quiet streets waking up with blaring car horns
Sidewalks brimming with people in transit
As the sleeping city slowly comes to life

Amidst all that chaotic, monotonous cycle
I find myself gazing at your sleeping face
Listening to your soft, gentle breathing
Entangled cozily in my embrace

Your tranquil snoring feels like music to my ears
Your calm face etched in my most beautiful memories
My hands can't stop from touching your gentle cheeks
As I contemplate if should I kiss your lips good morning

I just want to stay under these soft bed sheets
Staying with you here,  entrenched in your soothing warmth
Pretending to be asleep, waiting for your morning kisses
While pulling you back from the cold to my greedy, wanting arms

These are the mornings I want to wake up to
These are the mornings that I pray for everyday
Dear God, please don't let her wake up yet
Let me just stay and stare at this small piece of heaven

I've prayed for you for a very long time
And in my search I may have been unfair to you
I may have done these with other people before
But this time, I know, nothing beats these mornings with you

So I'm sorry
If I didn't wait before
I'm sorry
If I never stayed faithful
I'm sorry
If I was in a wasteful haste
I'm sorry
If you were never my firsts

But now
I thank God for leading me to you
Now
I thank God for staying faithful
Now
I thank God for His mysterious ways
Now
I thank you, for waiting to be my last

These are the mornings that I want to wake up to
These are the mornings that I wanna live for
So please, If time can just stop for a few more minutes
I just want to savor how blessed I am to be with you

I love you with all my heart
I love you with all my soul
Stay in my arms, let's leave the world be itself
Sleep in my bed, let's stay here for a little more time
Enjoy the read!
Thanks!

Winter flakes fall, alive, alone,
Bright like ivory, cold like bone,
Peaceful and silent, they ride the wind,
Brushing snow-swept faces, chapped, skinned.

Icy sidewalks lay and stare,
Smooth glassy pathway reflecting brisk air,
The sky quietly murmurs a shade of bluish-grey,
Clouds block the sun, dulling this December day.

Trees stripped bare by merciless freeze,
Unwrapped, they suffer, nobody sees,
A lifetime of labor hangs from every limb,
Waiting for Summer to begin.

Mountains far off watch in greif,
For greenery's sake pray for relief,
Blistering rage unharnessed, free,
Is a predator gobbling all it can see.

Winter's love and hate collide,
As unpredictable as ocean's tide,
Moment by moment, fading away,
The beginning of tomorrow, end of today.
I think a poem about Winter is a nice refreshing change from all the summer poems about sunshine i have been reading.

An overwhelming feeling
under-
whelming

Seeping into my veins
slowly
bleeding

Corrupting my brain
ringing
whispers

Muddling my sight
dim
lights

Corroding my soul
draining
time

Until I am overtaken
Glazed
eyes

By my loss of will
Where
Loss of might
Am I?
Sans all

Dewdrop diamonds glisten,
                  beauty in a morning,
but allure dissolves,
                                after time.

All that is left is evaporated
      memories,
                 of the morning
                                 of our life.
