No one catch up to me
I am far too gone

There is no map to place I go
There are no lingering footsteps to where I am

You'd miss me
for a day or two
but then, time fixes it
and I'd be a distant memory
i loved you
hell, i still do
though now its more a distant love
where i'll see you grown
and blossom on your own

it was nice to be close to you while you let me
and on some nights the thought of you
lingers on
hey, that's life though

Your name diluted
with time
a pronoun was enough to remind me

Now when they use your
pronoun I forget
and ask who?
and i guess i learned
the hard way that
chasing you is like
chasing the sunset

i am running towards you
but when i reach out to
hold you in my hand
fingertips grasp at empty air

a master of disguise
appearing so close, but you were
distant, off in the distance giving
the horizon line goodnight kisses

you belong to the wind
the light, the sky, the stars
you belong to everything,
but you do not belong to me.

Smoking alone on a corner,
wishing you were here,
asking for a smoke,
begging to be there
in that land far away
as we wait for the lane
to stop, so we walk.

Yet here I stand alone,
cigarette in hand,
Slowly going mad
how i wish you there,
asking me for a smoke,
so that i may tease you,
and make hearty jokes.

I wish you were there,
My angel my fae
I long for the day
where we go together,
waiting for the streetlights
roaming the city as if it were ours
not caring as we venture forth
My fae, my pixi, my darling dearest.
Soon, As soon as the moon rises and sets,
We shall take this town over,
we shall reign as queen and king,
we shall reign as monarchs,
ruling in secret, as not let the world
taint our love.
i didnt lie.

A storm passes by;
and though it is miles away;
It shakes my whole world.

I'm still me
And we're distant now
I've gotten stronger
And growing loud
Sometimes I wonder
If you hadn't gone
Extending hands
Vast beyond the sea
Collecting deep-colored shells
For a heart severed-to-be
