Just the thought of you can
Give me butterflies
I let them fly
While I think of you some more

Your embarrassed skin obscures my vision
Until I take off my glasses, always in the way,
Everything works around a pinkish hue;
All in my sight clamors for a chance, too, to kiss you.
We navigate the crowds of cool hipsters
Smoking away their silhouettes; we're invited
Only 'til breakfast, then we've got to go.

The velvet blush of sunrise,
Shames the brightest of stars.
10 word poem
Hazel brown eyes, silent smiles
You were there by my side
Hiking together, few miles.
Singing for me, held me when i fell
theres nothing more to hide
Its time to set the sails
I think it is almost time to tell..
Those 5 words you wanted to hear-
I think I love you :)

We walk through a garden in the evening sun.
We joke, we laugh, our thoughts are one
As we find a spot near a softwood tree
With bright flowers, cool shadows, alone, you and me.

We sit, we recline, your hand in mine
Your head on my shoulder, a feeling sublime.
We talk for a while and then we play,
We tease and touch in our special way.

The day surrenders to twilight then night,
The cool blue moon is now our delight.
This timeless wonder in a lovers’ sky
Compels our gaze to each other’s eyes.
Its magic transfigures your eyes into pools
Mysterious, haunting, inviting and cool
While mine are ablaze with passion’s fire.
We are trapped! Moon’s magic is now our desire.

Your hair glistens in this lovers’ light.
What was sunset gold in my earlier sight
Is a silver-sphered halo, angelic and bright.

A dark silhouette with comforting arms
I embrace you and kiss you and drink-in your charms.
Lips that smiled laughed and called
Are ambrosia, THE NECTAR, the gods are awed!
Kissing, tenderly, we kindle love’s fire,
A gentle caress heats our desire.
In our close embrace, the promise of day
We’ll fulfill this night in love’s ancient way.

Our kisses become longer and heaped with passion!
To hell with reason! To hell with ration!
We heed love’s call, love sets us free
And we unite...in splendour! To love’s ultimate degree
We blush, we smile, we sigh so deep,
We sing...love’s soft song as its joy we reap.
We rapturously explore with all we possess
To assure each other that all is expressed.

Our souls are in ecstasy! So deep, so endearing
Our kisses; so sweet, so pure our singing.

We whisper our name to each other’s ear
Softly, earnestly, so our hearts may hear.
At last, love’s longing is finally relieved,
At last, love’s dream is blissfully achieved.

We’ve paid the supreme compliment for our caring
With an act of love...the most intimate sharing.

"You're lucky you're pretty,"
you say to me with a smile
as I drink more from your glass
hoping to take more
from your heart

My favorite piece of evidence
to use against the case of my friends
was that you have never
complimented my appearance
and suddenly
I need to rethink
my closing statement

Boys that tell me I'm pretty
have been far and few
but liars all the same

I believe you when you tell me this
and it does not ring in my ears
when you kiss me in your bed
because you have already
made me feel
like so much more
I haven't written a poem in a couple days, and I didn't feel like picking a word.

She prepares her kit
To turn into someone else
She's done this for years
Not knowing how to be herself

She smears her lips
With a bright bold Mac
Drawing an artificial smile
Hoping she wont crack

She grabs her eyeliner
And traces her eyes
As strokes of mascara
Send lashes toward the sky

She dips herself in powder
And draws two circles for blush
She irons her natural hair
With every bristle and brush

With this new mask on
She could now face the world
Yet I still wonder
Will I ever meet the real side of this girl?
Simplicity is beauty.

I feel good, I feel like if I could find you, we could kiss all night
I think you'd like that version of me,
I think you'd love me with no clothes
I want to reveal who I never was to you,
I want to make you blush, get you drunk on not just alcohol
And we could kiss all night
I won't dare
Feel
A
Thing
Because I won't fall apart, oh no no no

Heart pounding
Eyes leaping
Heavy breathing
Mystifying,

When I look across the room and I see you there,
I glance, I blush, I glance,
Again,
You turn, I freeze. Wow.

I throw my neck around, now look, I've got whip-lash--
Worth it!
For a glimpse of your eyes, I'd gladly give my head.

Starless, chilly an autumn night
It all started right
A dance it would be
A stranger I was
Amongst a two roosts of Latter Day Saints
Popular, I was not
Neither shy nor sociable,
I stood in wait for a suitor
Then a lad glided in
A bit taller than I, blonde hair, green eyes
And an adorable hat on his head
Chitter-chatter,
Smiles, laughter,
Then the Games began
This suitor, Gage he was called
Had speed, but not dexterity
And was soon defeated
Charming, cheering, continuing
The dancing came
Clumsy, was I ever so
While he radiated mastery
Every misstep spin on my part
Made him smile
He whispered in my ear,
In hot breaths,
Compliments of golden rarity
A suitor of suitors I see
A spectacular dance, then another...and quite a few more
Each spin drawing me closer,
As we learned the ways of our bodies purely
The intense stares making my cheeks glow rouge
Beguiled in the moment,
I followed Gage out in an innocent move
Outside, taking a walk around the sacristy
We sat upon an abandoned stair
We spoke, we laughed, and...
His sparking eyes locked with mine
And I knew such a day would come!
An elegant milestone!
Lips in incoherent shapes as we did the most ancient of things
Simple and sweet
Breathless, I was
Yet I wanted more
We kissed once again, longer this route
Your lips are sweet, he said in my ear, as I shook in delight
Paper and pen, number in hand
My phone in his hands, exchanging modern things
A quick hug
And a long night of thought for me

Since then, contact has been strangled to a near death
As though it was alive beforehand
My hope has faded
But still, I choose to see it as a lesson for the wise
Not a regret for the stupid
It was magical,
It was ordinarily extraordinary,
And blessed I feel for the experience.
