We danced around in the stardust
With only a vacuum and photons between us

And as the queen began to form
It was then our land was born

And as she grew in power and energy
We found in asteroids a land of plenty

When we formed we were together
And it seemed as though the heat lasted forever

And then one day our brother came
And split apart what was the same

But our story did not end quite there
With magma scattering everywhere

When we came to we had reformed
Into two people we were born

And though at first it was quite strange
We came to love this sudden change

In the beginning, we were warm and bright
Our closeness yielded three hour nights

And as we cooled, we began to see
The differences developing in you and me

For as we slowed and grew apart
We became our own kinds of art

Your reddish film multiplied and changed
Into beasts and plants both wonderful and strange

I turned silver, with vast empty seas
Pure shining silver as far as one can see

And though we've slowed and now dance at arms length
We observe each other's beauty and give each other strength

For it is I and I alone who pulls at your tides
And incites those graceful apes to the madness each one hides

And you alone see the silver I reflect
With your green and blue body so fluid and perfect

And though our brother's push will one day throw us apart
I have your sweet carbon scent, and you my full silver art
A short quasi love story about the earth and the moon. (Told from the moon's view)

your stars hung in pairs against the
accustomed singularity of celestial bodies
your stars held the promise of enlightenment
and i sought you the way kings did
hunting you down in the endeavor of navigation
pinned down and ****** until
man left the stars for devices of their own
and when the stars followed humanity
stardust resurrecting in the arrangement of atoms
constellations manifesting in wombs
nebulae shattering for the genesis
the universe destroyed itself for you

oh gemini boy

the cosmos are not kind
to boys who are destined to be halves
on an eternal voyage for missing fragments
in a lover's touch and a child's laugh
the world is not kind
to boys who look into your eyes
and only see their reflection
but you were kind to me

oh gemini boy

this is an apology
to a mortal born from the immortality
of twins whose love bore the gods' mercy
to rest among the stars
not knowing that stars die just as
the children born from them do
just as you

oh gemini boy

maybe i should have known better than
to love a boy always searching for himself
i mistook you for a cosmic collision
meant for the dawn of a new heaven
and maybe i fell in love with your destruction
as i navigated you the way ancients looked
to your stars for salvation

oh gemini boy

my stars hang in the silhouette of the unknown
isolated from the promise of deliverance
man was once told
we are born from different stars
our fates moving in parallel precision
never meeting again after our stardust
once laid prints upon our astral anatomy
and because we are not stars
but the echoes of seraphic wars
meant to traverse desolate lands
in search for completion

oh gemini boy

i forgive you
you just wanted to be whole
wrote this a long time ago, geminis are oddly inspiring muses.
The Night Ten to the crescent way,
                   and I'm followin' followin'

Pieces of, -the night or a day,
                 still followin' and followin'

On the Line yeah the sailor's say,
                  Luna come, followin' followin'

And ye-e-eah, ye-e-eah, YEAH! -we're watchin' WATCHIN' -watching every day!

The Night Ten to the crescent way,
                   and I'm followin' followin'

Pieces of, -the night or a day,
                 still followin' and followin'

On the Line yeah the sailor's say,
                  Luna come, followin' followin'

AND IT'S A PLACE OUTS-I-I-I-I-DE, HE'S PLAYING; MR. SHADE!

The Night Ten to the crescent way,
                   and I'm followin' followin'

Pieces of, -the night or a day,
                 still followin' and followin'

On the Line yeah the sailor's say,
                  Luna come, followin' followin'

* AND NO ONE CAN PLAY,
                  -play like Mr. Shade!

The ancients solved Longitudinal navigation by plotting a position against the moon and any one of ten major stars that can be found on the ecliptic at night. Who really believes that four thousand years of moon tablets in Sumer/Shinar are just time tables or astrology?

You opened your sun roof,
It'd been hours
Your arm around me,
No man-made move.

We started at the stars,
You let out your thoughts
And I couldn't believe who you'd become,
Who you are.

You'll never be mine,
I will never be yours
But in that moment
I wanted a little more.

As time progressed
And the stars dimmed
I laid my seat back
And let you do the rest.

The music playing
Got lower
And as your lips found mine
I'd forgotten everything we'd been saying.
Time had paused,
We were back to that time when we were
Kids
and the stars soared.

No truth in the air,
Your hands on my hips
No internal despair.

18, 19.
The stars are out
And the boy I once saw,
Once wanted
Is finally seen.

But the sun will come up,
And the sun roof will close
And time will resume
And we will never again be as close.

I'm a very angry, self-destructive person.
I like to blame it on the fact that I'm an Aries.
I have fire in my veins, heat radiating off of my skin.
Please don't touch me.

Even white clouds form into
        demons at night.
How terrifying they appear
beneath the crescent moon,
a parchment of wispy black and expiring halo.
          When the sun is awake,
the clouds are innocent angels,
           relieved of their sins
from blocking the stars.

             Demons are not villains.
You have to give them a chance to change.

When the Gods told the child
his story was foretold in the stars,
He marched into the sky that night
and tore the heavens apart.

I'll write my own story.
He said.
And I'll forge my own path.
I don't care what they say,
Destiny be ******.

But then the Gods began to laugh,
And the Fates, they simply kneeled.

Oh child, you foolish thing.
Your fate has just been sealed.

**- You can't escape
  your destiny.
Only trigger it.

A dark Cloud of obscure atoms swirl around in Brownian chaos..
Time's a bit different  ere.. Eons  but a flit on tis clock..
Quantum effects play poker probability,
gravity the sinister Attractor ..

The cloud congeals,  darker still than b'fore..
Attraction,  it's nature Hot and crushing at primeval depths..
Ignites a fire so deep,  fuses the insides at the wave level..
Particles unite,  merge into each other,
becoming something new altogether..

Out pushes the brightest light the universe's seen..
The light of God,  searing, nourishing and warm ..
drawn out of the breaking,  fusing hearts,
Ignites Life on a distant Rock..

The cloud now a big Star..
Observes in rapture as Life grows from infancy to Damsel in frenzy... She Remembers the ancient pattern,  dances around in fatal Attraction.. Fornicating, Merging, consuming, birthing  in Heat..

Blues fade into greens,  white streaks surround browns ..
Colours pulsing, coursing in a ballet..
Star is hypnotic,  it watches..
******* a flare or two at ecstatic moments...

Smitten by Attraction, Star wants to hold Life to its passion..
Can't bear the distance tween the two..
It burns and turns,  curious quarks, neutrinos play havoc inside,
turn Helium to Dark Carbon..

The Star sickened of burning and watching for Gods years,
spreads it's arms to hold Life in its magnetic swarms..
It's million Kelvins approaching in Love, Blow Dry Life,
Evaporate the tiny blue Rock..

Star muddled by tis sudden development,
can't put its tendril to why tis happened..
It's heart broken, embraces empty space,
where Life pirouetted a few ages ago..
burns all the more, turns Carbon to Heavy Iron
and novas in green,  orange and gold.

The dust settles,
Star now a mere smoldering lump of Neutron..
Looks in the dark depths in feeble ruddy light,
pulsing out signals to find its beloved Life.
Rueing on the beauty that was..

Destined to wait..
For the Clouds to congeal again..

A gas giant
nine times the size
of the planet we call home.
175,000 miles of ice rings,
spanning almost the same distance
between our world and the moon.
With the ability to contain
764 Earths,
Saturn makes our planet seem
microscopic.
Our world
is so large to us,
yet so small
to other planets.
And even smaller
to the universe.
Seemingly endless solar systems,
galaxies,
and light years
composed of dark energy
and matter
make you look
insignificant.
this is another poem i wrote last semester and it's about saturn, my favorite planet.

Drowning in a sea of disappointment
Swept away by the undercurrent
Into the depths of my own hatred
The weight of my heart
Set in stone and cast in steel

Kick me down
Complete submission
I reached for the stars as a last desperate
attempt to be part of the light

But you extinguished the sun
And you swallowed the moon
And by the time that I had finally made it
The stars had all died
I can't say I hate people…but I continuously find myself feeling disappointed by them.
