she has six hands and they are all holding me,
i am being strangled.
my lungs are bent, gasping,
she whispers in my ear:
“the crash is coming. no air can save you.”

she has eight eyes and they are never blinking,
tarantula hairs.
my blood is running a marathon, running,
i beg her to run away
but she lives where i live. i am not willing to die just to silence her.

she leads me to the rooftop,
tells me to put the dirt on.
my lungs’ scream is an axe, hacking,
all the walls are closing
she holds a vacuum to my lips.

she crouches beside me,
i hear her hissing mutters.
she is like a tsunami, everything,
she wears a crumbling rooftop like it is a crown
she sits on my head and holds my throat.

she tempts me to the edge of the highway,
everyone blurs together.
my head is like a broken hourglass, spilling everywhere,
brains look the same until they hit the windshield
my splatter, but she is not silenced.
I love you, but they say I can't
For I'll extinguish you
But that I will defy
That fiery independence
You bow before me and hide
How can I **** the one I love?

You hate, you say, and run
From me, I will pursue
Will stalk your every trunk
and twig, your every shoot
and limb. What you devour
I soothe, I cry on your anger

My tears will drown your ire
Until you give yourself to me
My arms and body douse
your rage. You will surrender
We both will leave fertile
soil behind, offspring will grow
This is a personification... What exactly am I?
 May 2017 Ioana - Silvia Manea
a
we sit. weary pupils dilate as we watch
the dying day mourn lilac tears onto
rosy cloud-cheeks,
eyes widen like it's an action movie
and the night has begun to wake
its warriors - or worse,
it's a documentary, and
someone's burning van gogh's stars
back into oblivion. lord, we're watching
universes fall and bleed
-but the film stops there.
our sentiments are unscripted,
it's just that chill that creeps up our
collars and strokes our
amygdalae enviously-
               and i daresay, to our sightcaptor
        who begins to reach her way in
                    and withdraw, simultaneously,
      i dare speak:

          do
          not
        touch
          me

but it's hard to stay cool
when you love the face of the sun
and must sing her to sleep.
"do/not/touch/me" is supposed to have a strike-though but i wasn't sure how to work the formatting.
wip.
My perfect date would probably go something like this:

Night time adventures and park benches,
staring up at the stars because the sky is so clear we could probably see
Venus if we squinted, looked hard enough;
dark canvas the pupil of God's eye, Him, smiling
upon us as we blossom, knowing what we will be
though we don't - not yet - tentative fingers and flitting touches;
a gasp of a moment as lips brush against one another fitting so
sweetly oh how can this be the first time
how can we not have been made to be like this for all eternity
how can you know my crevices so soon
how can this moment be so beautiful, witnessed only by the whisper of the air?

And
gorgeous idiosyncrasies,
philosophising together talking about the world because
small talk is for small minds and together we're the universal expansion, we're infinite -
oh my God the things we could be.

Maybe we're not looking for anything except ourselves but
I think I found pieces of myself in the curve
of your neck and upon your eyelids so why not
reconsider;
The best things happen when we're not
looking out for them.

Have me as I am or not at all.
All I ask is you keep me in mind,
I'm worth waiting for.
You know this is for you
don't be shy.
remembered my meds;
didn't clear my head.
still thinking of you,
tempted by the blue
overdose by one or two
hundred, something to do.
maybe the pink;
she'll make me think
of nothing at all,
be as blank as a wall,
still as a statue and twice as calm
as i used to feel tracing hurt on my arm.
i could never ever  forget the night i met nari. it was like magic, like the powers that be wanted our destinies to collide, to crash, to blend.

it was the night a meteor shower was to come to my small town. people came from neighbouring cities just to see them, these bright lights, these shooting stars. everyone was camping out, the high school's football field covered with trucks and blankets and tents. There were even people cuddling with blankets wrapped around them in the bleachers, their words filling the air as they prepared to stare at the sky, prepared to see something more beautiful than anything they'd ever seen.

i was doing the same, sitting in the back of my dad's truck with a blanket over my shoulders, but i was beginning to doze off. i was feeling a sensation much like falling, when i heard a someone speaking in my direction.

"need help staying awake?"

it turns out, i didn't need to stare at the sky and see a meteor shower to see something more beautiful than anything i'd ever seen. i just needed to open my eyes and look at her. she was smiling, and god, she had a smile that grow flowers, birth stars, and mend butterfly wings. and she was smiling. at. me.

an excerpt from chapter one of my cute short story ft. mira and nari

(irl mira don't be mad that i used ur name i just love the name and used it, but i can change it if you have beef)
Honey, it's been a long time
Since love's been out of sight.
Been a while since the time there were a thousand fights
For every tear cried.
Internal confliction
Temptations and addictions,
A never-ending chain,
But like a bullet shot through my brain.
Claims of righteous,
The spark inside us;
I don't know if it's enough.
Thoughts of giving up.
Got to erase them
So there's hope to win,
Got to erase them
So there's hope that I might see you again.

Remember the last words that we said;
Take them when you're dead.
Close your eyes forevermore;
Let your neck sink into the end of a sword.

When heaven falls and
Hell arises,
When we question who'll and
Who'll die,
Will you still be there by my side?
Will you still be there for me to hold tight
In the war of the blind?

Blow away dandelion wishes,
Burn away childhood bliss.
Sever bonds and ties
With those who lied about caring for your life.
Finding trust
Within a pile of dust.
Gambling with fate and
Flirting with death.
Children scream and the
Birds weep.
Yearning for mother to
Rock me to sleep.

Illicit love,
Clandestine dreams,
Pupilless eyes,
Deceased lives,
Can you differentiate truth from lie?

Defected minds,
Straightjackets aline
Slip your hands in the garment like you
Slip your hands in mine.
Sad to say, but it's just a distraction, just a delay
From the inevitable change.
Can't escape the pain;
However, I'm hoping after the rain
There'll be the tranquil sun.
Will I touch it if I run?
I really need it right now, I'm feeling cold.
I just wanna go back home.

But all that's left is ashes with
Smoked-filled madness.
I'm getting ready to stop holding on.

When heaven falls and
Hell arises,
When we question who'll and
Who'll die,
Will you still be there by my side?
Will you still be there for me to hold tight
In the war of the blind?

I'm getting a little desperate
I'm someone you shouldn't mess with.
It's time to rebel.
I don't know how much longer I'll keep quiet
But I need to break this spell.

Since birth, we've been gagged and blinded.
(Psychological void)
Bounded by lies and devil's voice.
(Kneeling down to pray)
Beautiful petals wasted to decay.
(Thrown-out potential)
Let's test the protection of the Human Rights,
Let's get experimental.

If society's shadow is my unjust god,
Then my position must be a fallen angel
Because it hurts to proclaims false faith
If I'm able.

Go on, shoot, if you're sure that's where your
Beliefs lie,
But my spirit will wander,
Never letting these unanswered questions die, like

When heaven falls and
Hell arises,
When we question who'll and
Who'll die,
Will you still be there by my side?
Will you still be there for me to hold tight
In the war of the blind?

When heaven falls and
Hell arises,
When we question who'll and
Who'll die,
Will you still be there by my side?
Will you still be there for me to hold tight
In the war of the blind?

When heaven falls and
Hell arises,
When we question who'll and
Who'll die,
Will you still be there by my side?
Will you still be there for me to hold tight
In the war of the blind?

Send me a blessing, love;
Protection from temptations.
Praying peace will come
I just need to be patient.

Toss aside the fragile mask that
Hides naive eyes.
Can you see the light?

Can you see me now?
Can you see me now?
Can you see me now?
Can you see me now?
The order of rap and vocal is very complex, so here is a guide to have an idea of the original thought (Instruction for every stanza): Rap, vocal, vocal, vocal, rap, rap, rap, vocal, vocal, rap (vocal in parentheses), rap, rap, vocal 'till the end.
I have sought many of the past lives,
Witnessed ages of the Earth’s passerby;
From when I was a little sapling,
Until vines and twigs turned wrinkling-
I am a linden tree and this is the story,
I’d tell in the form of poetry.

Many and many a year ago,
When mountains ceaselessly echo
And the birds chirped harmoniously,
Zephyr mutters silence and serenity;
Clouds clover sky in gleaming azure,
Meadow teeming with verdant grandeur.

The sound of the raging sea wave
Reverberates through the mighty cave;
Sun-kissed sand wallow all day,
Pristine and bright as the sun’s ray;
In the boggy soil I stand firm,
Watching the pendulous vine squirm.

Butterflies fluttering in great splendor,
Hovering and sipping nectars galore;
Screeching seagulls can be heard-
From a distant they form herd;
A group of mackerel rapidly swim,
Dwelling into the never-ending stream.

Those were the days when green
is all there is to be seen;
Before the rise of the civilization,
When humans value appreciation.

Blazing red lights swallowed,
Then ashes and dust followed;
Streams and riverbanks silently cry,
As fishes and clams gradually die;
Birds started singing in sorrow-
The broken melody of tomorrow.

This is the story that I’d be telling-
To my children and their sapling;
I am a linden tree, blessed and forsaken,
Whose memories and land they’ve taken.
This poem wouldn't be made possible without tears, dedication and pure heart. Just read through.
