Far From Home
elixir Jul 2015
As darkness rose with the night
I will depart in the name of my right
It is not because I am afraid to fight
I just want to get out of sight

Disappearing from the face of men
Leaving no guilt, nor regret
Yes, this might be the end
And in the end, they might find me dead

I hardly swing my steps
With fear filling in each tap
Will I be able to find to find somewhere safe?
Will I be enough brave?

Now that I am here in this pity
I stop and start thinking
For what I have been doing
Do they miss me?

Must I seek for sanctuary
To keep me beyond a man's reach
And I have given my words clearly
That it will not be easy to breach

And time, was passing behind me
I never, ever hesitate
I must never, ever hesitate
I'm on the path where I wanted to be

And so I shall walk straight and wander
Without reading any poem
For I am a traveller
Far from home
Hello Poetry! I'm new here and this is one of my first works. I made this 5 years ago back in high school, I hope you like it.

A Heart Made Of Steel
elixir Jan 2016
Try me!
Nothing you do will ever make me quit,
Just as nothing I do will ever stop you.
So come at me and have at me!

I have grown tired of your rights,
as you are weary of mine!
I have been silent for far too long,
and you have been preaching more than enough!

Now get down here, and face me!
Leave your crown behind,
We will fight blind,
and let me show you true bravery!

Or we can go to war, my friend,
your hounds, and my army!
Let us paint this world crimson red,
as we charge into this endless battle!

Give me that iron bludgeon,
and I will return with a concrete fist!
Feed me walls of smoke,
and I will send you floors of fire!

Do me your worst,
and shall you see the worse from me.
Stop me in my walk,
and I will paralyze you in your wake.

And when your guts are finally there to get you,
come find me, and **** me!
Throw me down off a cliff, and
send them a distress call!

For I was not killed by the fall,
and as long as you live,
Know that the only way I'll die,
is standing true, and standing tall!
I am feeling revolutionary. you have to shout it out when reading this piece to really feel the fury in you. and maybe listen to Wagner's Ride Of The Valkyrie (Die Walkure).

The more I know,
the more I am convinced.
That every source of light,
casts also, a shadow.
This came to me when I realized that nothing in this world is made of pure good. Whatever it is, there has to be a bad side of everything.

When They Ask Me Why
elixir Jul 2015
Everytime, every single time they ask me "why?".
Why dive into the ocean when you know it's too deep?
Why walk the path though you find it too steep?
Why kiss the fire if you knew you'd burn?
Why did you go if you knew you'd return?
Why leave the track and find yourself lost in a circle?
Why did you help them only to feel them trample?
Why trust while you know it tends to rust?
Why do you care while no one does?
Why go to war when you know you'll surely die?

I never knew the answer.
But, there's one thing I know for sure,
This curse of mine has no cure.
I only hope that it is for the better.
This is what happens when I've had too much coffee and one sleepless night.

The Universe
elixir Jul 2015
How big is the known Universe? No one really knows.
But from time to time, scientists has found theories of how the Universe happened.
Some said that a huge explosion called the Big Bang caused the well-known stars and planets.

Ah, to hell with those scientists, I didn't write this for some astronomy lecture.
But as you might have already known. Well, you should have. All those stars and planets and nebulas, are formed by such small things.
Nearly worthless things.
Imagine millions, billions, trillions, unlimited amount of that magical small particle spread all across a place so enormous, even men cannot measure.

But if you think of it differently...
Then you might be able to see...

To imagine...

Imagine each one of it, all the way down to its molecular level, is actually a piece of me.

A piece, of my love.

And when you're done imagining... Darling, the Universe itself is yours.

If you don't believe me, go and take a look.
The "Universe" always starts with "U".
Made this for a girl, 2 years ago.

The Daydreamers
elixir Jul 2015
What else there is in life
Other than our struggle to thrive
The rest are just bluffs
By those, who are not worthy enough

Unworthy enough
To face the world's ravaging
But worthy enough
To sit tight and keep dreaming

To keep on dreaming, and dreaming
By their sleep in the night
By their wake in the day
Comes silently screaming, and screaming

They want change, difference, recognition
Things they don't possess, nor see
Which they will achieve and be
With the might of their creation

The dreams they dream, are different
The dreams they dream, are irrelevant
They escapes from this darkness
Into a world they created, upon the rubbles of their sadness

Pain, misery, disappointment
Carved in, like a mine of silver
As they keep on sitting, sleeping, wondering
As they keep on dreaming, and dreaming

They have power over their world
They have control over their universe
They are the gods of their own
They are the ones we ignore

pummeled down by society
abandoned their own sanity
But they will live on
Oh, yes, the daydreamers lives on
I remember the day I made this, I was thinking random thoughts, like "what would happen if". And that moment, when I was busy creating scenarios in my head, this came to me.
elixir Nov 2016
He wore blue, and she wore white
Keeping the true, the more, under their hide.
Looking as empty, they just don't bother
To discover the fact that they were meant for each other.

And, oh, do they met one day.
Under the bright sun in a crowded train.
Two pair of eyes found their way.
A stare so deep yet quite in vain.

When he wore blue and she wore white.
Unscathed by love, untouched by light.
Covered in shades of the daily races.
Disguised by the gaze of a thousand faces.

And so they went their own ways
Far, and astray, never to meet again.
Leaving a trail of where it ended,
As well as where it began.
It happens, you know... if you believe in fate. But then again, what kind of fate? I believe that fate isn't linear. It's like a tree, where every branch is dofferent from another, and every single one will come to an end on a lively leaf.

The Story of a Searing Soul
elixir Aug 2017
This is a story of a searing soul,
With blazing eyes, and burning will.
He flew straight up, unrelenting,
Until he glimpsed another soul.

A white empress of icy wings,
A beauty unlike any He had seen.
He flew ever faster and closer,
Ahead and above, She looks below.

Their eyes met, their paths crossed,
Their destinies entangled.
She was His dream's manifest,
And He was Her desired caress.

"Pray, enlighten me of your destiny, o fair spirit." He challenged.
"Why, of course the light above." she addressed.
"Then I shall fly by your side." he proposed.
"For our destinies are one." she declared.

Alas, they forged a bond.
Their essence brushed, their elements lust.
She froze His flames, as He burned Her ice.
What they had was unrivaled beauty.

Past the clouds reaching for the promise,
And lo, she behold.
A splitting sun, an unforeseen divide,
A divine somber where hearts shatter.

And when two fates can not be one,
Each must soar on their own.
With a different destiny,
Away from him, had she flown.

And in his flight towards his light,
Her soul became the shadow.
The ever lurking existence,
Of what once was above, is now below.

An overwhelming burden,
The remains of His dream's manifest,
The void of His heart's desire,
The bond his muse left asunder.
I lost my muse, last year. She came back last night in a way I never could have imagined. In a form of a best friend, with a message of why she left without a word. How it's best for both of us.  How she can't go with me. How she can't leave her family, her home. How our sun splits, and our hearts shatters.

Will you?
elixir Jul 2015
I do not know
What made me feel this way.
Was it your beautiful eyes,
Showing the world's not always gray?

I can not figure out
The point from which it began.
Was it the way we stare?
Or the way we hold hands?

Maybe it was the little talks we've had.
The moments we get to know each other.
Or could it be the silence?
The comfort we didn't bother?

Or maybe it was something else...
Maybe it was your joyful smile
When I noticed your new hair.
It got me still for quite a while.

Or perhaps, it was your spirit.
The adventurous in heart,
Who sacrificed her own desires
Only to be torn apart.

I find it hard to discover
From all those things,
Why I long for you as a lover.
Yes, I long for you as a lover.

Now if I may, I would like to ask you.
Will you say "I love you, too"
When I tell you that I love you?
So I've been seeing this girl for quite a while. This was meant for her. Was. Until I found out that she's out with another guy. I guess she won't.

The Lover's Maiden Voyage
elixir Oct 2017
We craft boats and ships of words.
So we do not drown in our hurricane of thoughts.
We'll make them worthy of the seas.
Of the crushing waves and deafening thunder.

Until the day we sink.
And see the life under.
Lonely but selfless,
Down we go.
Where our dreams lies,
Where our journey dies.

Far below,
In the heart of the sea
Of what should have,
But could never be.
The ship, it's sinking.
It's sinking faster than I ever thought possible.

Pray, Lest it be so.
elixir Oct 2017
****** is the one who loves,
When one can find no boundary.
Cursed is the one who loves,
In joyful constant foolery.

For a lover's will,
It sees one be brittle.
Lest the heart is still,
And oh, so too gentle.
Have you ever been sruck in a cycle of the same joke, over, and over. Up to the moment you start wondering "is this all that we got?" but afraid to tell him/her because you know how it will turn out. And at the end of the day it did turn out the way you had thought it would.

And might well be, the way it should.

The Hand
elixir Jul 2016
I am the bitten.
I am the fallen.
Once I was bludgeoned,
And left, and forgotten.

And then I flew,
Flew so high before I fell.
From the high heavens,
To the depths of hell.

Then came a hand, so soft and gentle
With an eye in its palm.
Bearing witness of my struggle,
Through every storm and every calm.

The hand gave me wings,
And threw flames to burn them off.
As I fell and fell,
Further and deeper to the voids of hell.

And so is the story of the falling man,
In the company of a lover's hand.
But he knows it will be grand,
When come the time to rise again.
Nothing beats pouring your overthinking head on to a piece of paper at 4 a.m

Riot In My Head
elixir Oct 2020
There is a riot in my head,
So chaotic, full of dread.
Fires burn over broken glass,
Spreading fast, blazing flesh.

They are looting everything,
Abducting unassuming strangers,
Harming innocent bystanders,
They flourish in the chaos they made.

They hate what they have become,
What they have chosen,
What they were given,
What they were left with.

There is a riot in my head,
But I just sit and watch instead.
How they demand more of the same,
How tomorrow will be more insane.

There is a riot in my head,
And here we don't bury the dead.
This is what overthinking feels like to me.

Ever After
elixir Jul 2020
Shall we go, now?
To that place we so dearly cherish.
Somewhere we have been to before.
Truth be told, it is not that far away.

It could be that couch in the living room,
Where we settled into the night.
Or perhaps the rug underneath it,
Where we can play games and fight.

It could be that small bed,
Creaking in the summer wind.
Or the window where the sun sets,
When we watched as daylight thinned.

It could be the boat we were on,
Braving the storm, dauntless.
Or it could be the sea beneath,
Where we witnessed life flourish, relentless.

It could be up on a mountain,
Between the trees and the absence of light.
Or down by the beach of a small island,
Where we cover our eyes if the sun gets too bright.

It could be somewhere quiet,
Serene, wallowing in tranquility.
Or in the dusty embrace of bustling cities,
Where we would drift in the crowds.

It could be anywhere in the world,
Really, it matters little.
But there is one place we always want to be,
And that is right next to each other.

Perhaps sometimes in anger,
And other times, we'll suffer.
But we'll live together,
And then maybe we'll know,
what it is like to live forever.
On her Birthday, she asked me to write something for her. I haven't wrote poetry for quite a while so this one may prove lacking delicate touches.
