As the sun rises over the tops of the trees
It appears to be yawning
Yawning and stretching out it's beaming arms
Stretching out to share the warmth and love
The warmth and love that is needed by everyone, every day
Everyone that is ready for what the new day will bring...
Do you feel it?

Brian Hill - 2019 # 202
Mornings can be the BEST time of the day.
Are you a morning person?

But you asked for sunlight
So sunlight you must have, nothing
Apart from spinning gold
In places you will never reach, nothing
Beyond an incendiary bore
A couple thrilled little waves
An abundance of rays, observe how sometimes
They make the flakes of dead skin dance
Turn a few times in the air,
You asked for sunlight
So sit there and watch it before it dissolves
Everything is temporary,
Give it a little smile so it knows
You're still appeased when tasting its glow.
i despise feeling like this on sunny days, like there's something missing when all i ever do when the sky's dark is complain at it for hiding the sun from me

Morning colors change
They change with the morning sun
The morning sun reigns

It's fiery beams
It's setting within the clouds
It's warmth coming through

How was your morning?
Ray Dunn Jul 2019
soft and silent as snow,
rain coating your temples roof.

how i worship
the sweat on your brow...

then you kissed me with a heat
to melt the whole **** world.
i love the concept of contradiction in poetry so yeah some hot/cold dynamics here

Front and center of it all
I am a big burning,
bright gas ball.

Planets spin around my girth,
Like Saturn, Mars,
Venus and Earth.

I am the one that rises
you in the morning
and leaves you stunned
by my leave.
I am the one
who blazes and scorches
and at times
hides behind the clouds.

Even though
I am 149.6 million km away
I am still there to
light your world
and keep you warm.

the scorching summer sun
makes the day almost unbearable
even the plants agree
the sun needs to *******

I guess its not the sun's fault
it's just doing its thing
but maybe it could tone it down a bit
since our sunscreen was washed away

it could be worse though;
the summer storms could roll through
flooding the countryside in a muddy wave
and leaving us trapped underwater

the floods didn't use to be common,
but now they happen every year
sometimes i jokingly wonder aloud
who forgot to turn off the hose

so I'll just sit in front of my fan
wishing we had ac
and longing for ice cream
that has already melted

The ledge looks warm and welcoming,
beckoning me with its sleek rocky surface
with the promise of forever dripping down
its granite surface like newly harvested honey,
leaving nature's tongue to arouse my fear of love,
and awaken my unspoken desire for danger.

In a different time
a different place
I died at 19.
Alone in a room so
sterile.
The phone never pierces
into my black, rotted heart.
You never remind me
Of who I am.
Of what I mean.
I slash my wrists
and an echo remains.

But
You did.
I'm here.
Alive.
In love.
Our hands intertwined.
You saved my life,
and now it is ours.

Thank you.

My heart
Burns
My soul
Yearns
For a taste
Of your
Honey
Soft
Lips
Love is tasteless
Without the taste
Of your lips
Frozen
My eyes
It hurts
Without
Your beat
To warm
Me over
Hold
Me closely
In your petal soft arms
And love me
Harder
Than ever
Before
❤♥❤
