The fun will last
for a night

But the guilt will last
for a thousand more
don't make the decision that could feel great in the moment, but the result could ruin your life

I could write you away
Into a million poems
Escape from your being
As you are sprawled out
On a thousand crumpled sheets
Thrown in many dust bins
Or caught under the bed
Maybe lying on the desk
Or trapped inside my mind.

A tale of adventure, A tale of strife.
A tale of wisdom, a tale of life.
In the streets of afghan, a quick learner
Enchanted by the kite runner.

A tale of loss, a tale of gain.
A tale of horror, a tale of pain.
With strife and hurt, all bestowed.
And, the mountains echoed.

As sorrow seeps,
Mariam weeps
A tale of hurt,
Out to blurt.
With arrows, bombs, axe and guns
Burnt with a thousand splendid suns.
A tribute to the Afghan writer! Hail Khaled Hosseini

Teach me how to fit
In seventeen syllables
From a thousand thoughts

There are a thousand reasons
Why someone might be broken
Some of them are hard to bear,
And most remain unspoken.
If you want me to strip my guards,
Get into my world-
And maybe you’ll find a piece of truth
That can’t be sharpened or blurred –
Yet you may think It’s absurd.

I believe that a word paints a thousand pictures.
     making you feel,
     if not many things,
     at least something

Believe that a word paints a thousand pictures.
it is more than it seems
     when said
more powerful than it looks like
     when written

A word paints a thousand pictures.
     helping you feel,
     envision,
     creating something
     this world has never seen

                                      .....or felt.

A wish unfulfilled
She'll never be reached
But we'll keep on flying
Higher and higher
Above the clouds
Beyond the horizon
Till the air turns thin
Where like blade cuts the wind
We'll keep on rising
Higher and higher
Till our hearts turn blue
Till the blue turns black
And then white: nothing
And then perhaps
We could touch her heart
In the beautiful land of the rising sun they believe cranes live a thousand years, and if you fold a thousand origami cranes (one for each of their years) one wish of yours will come true.
Folding them didn't make my wish come true, but I guess wishing for a heart is wishing too much. So I set them free to roam the sky, maybe that way they'll reach something I can't.

I took the first step
there is no exit around
In studying medicine I grip
I'll try not to fall in the ground

It will be a long trip
Silent with no sound
I may face failures and flip
But I am sure I will rebound

I will try not to fall on a web
Because there is no a second round
All the social events I will skip
That is a fact I just found

But my dreams will be my rep
That turns a mountain into a mound
Medicine, it's a long way
It's one thousand miles away!!!
But it deserves it <3 <3
Time after time,
I might love you,
Until the time I let go:

Until I die.

Will it be OK when I can't feel my heart anymore?
Could I still love the harsh cries,
The deadly, lovely words
Meant for you?

Would you call it love
If I wrote you
A thousand poems?

Were we meant to be
Tonight,
Alone with only our thoughts
And the knowledge
We did it the same as yesterday?

I can't take anymore.
