Drifting back to the ocean
like it never even happened
unraveled dreams washed clean
crystalline renaissance bestowed
by wind mountain spring waters
rising from the heart
of mother earth

A remnant light glows deeply
of one love's untamed wonders
an unfastened feather glides abandoned
rushing waters floating
alighting pilgrim blissfully sails on
stranded without wings
a fallen wild feather free as bird
wanting a place to be let free

Sun in the summer air
wind in buoyant feathered hair
softly dancing upon
wild river restless ripples
to feel the love of holding on
adrift asunder whence it touched on
destiny's far-reaching
journey yonder
holding onto flowing rivers
rolling towards the sea

The incoming tidal waters blossom
surge to greet wind river's gentle saunter
converging slackening passage
salt on feral feathered fragments
arousing currents babbling swirl
imbibed by the impassioned sea

Wild rivers' born intentions
a different kind of drifting passage
to kiss the distant horizon
where the sown sunlight settles
submerged in shoreless ocean waters
to be free all at sea at last

someone you used to know  2017

For when he appears,
My lungs fill with flowers
And for a moment I
Forget to breathe.

The slumberling caterpillar
In my stomach
Performs metamorphosis
And flutters around
Trying to break free.

The rivers named veins
Fill and rush to my chest,
To my head and
I forget to think.

For when he smiles,
His eyes come alive,
And I wonder
Does he thinks of me this way.

...........run long...
... seeming to end at one point,
........yet, in truth, they just go on
.............for, currents are ceaseless
.................they find their own paths
......................they symbolize continuity.

I sat at the edge of the river dipping my toes into the cool water dreaming of another life.
I watched the ripples and the little fish thinking life must be so much easier to just swim around.
I figured they don't have to worry about romance and love.
They don't know what heartbreak truly is- pain and madness in a never ending loop.

I thought... just one last thought before i put my shoes back on and headed back to reality.
I thought, life is like the ripples in the water.
Our problems start so small, then ripple out and eventually...
they start to faded away.

In kissing the ocean
The old rivers dream
Of flying as clouds and
Reverting to streams

In drinking the river
The youth of the twig
Absorbs some small knowledge
Of trees that are big

In bleeding the mountain
The crack in the stone
Enriches the water
That springs from its bones

In breathing these pages
These poems I pray
Wish for me to become
A river someday
How did I end up back here
Blind to what lies ahead
Yet in the fading road behind
I see each bridge and bend

Like the tide I have returned
With your mem'ry on my mind
Yet like the tide, my lessons learned
Wash away before my eyes

I lost so much with you, my dear
To walk along your way
The path we planned together
Would have led us both astray.
So,
I washed the silt, the sand, the dirt
In brackish water tears
As hand in hand, God led me on
Back to familiar piers.

The dust I stirred up as I left
All settled with each stride
So here again, I journey on
With you not by my side.

I guess thats just how it goes when you break up in a small river town.

These halfway feelings...      hang in the balance -
sad to have left you,      happy to have met.
20:25 - 18/05/17
State of mind: sadness; complex.

Thoughts: from memories - the sadness in leaving somewhere or someone you love but also feeling good about those times.

Questions: none.

The tears that we deliver,
forever remind me of rivers

At first just small drops,
often on cold mountaintops.

They start to chase down a dream...

Desegregating to meet,
Piece by piece.

One would find that we,
meandering along,
occasionally meeting rocks
while dancing around blockades,
& often with unintended driftwood.

Eventually culmination gets them to oceans and seas,
but they had to figure their way.
All of that breaking down & meandering had an end-to-meet-
but the journey had to be made before it could be reached.

I don't like the feel of the moisture that hangs in the air,
The heaviness of humidity like a film coating my skin.
long and winding roads between trees soon to be cut by the hands of man,
Rivers to be violated by curious fishers and children.
It fills me with tranquility yet anxiousness to know somethting so beautiful will be destroyed.
These looming trees,
The aging moss,
The rolling hills occupied by the tall grass rolling with the wind like on-shore waves.
I can breathe but I can't,
An unveiling curtain covering my eyes as I yearn for some sanctity amongst these trees.
I feel a little lost in these mountains.

cherish those people you meet
that come and go
like rivers meeting rocks.

rocks may change courses of rivers
which channel and push the river
through its trecherous surface
thank them for their guidance
as the river rapidly races
through the course set before them.

but do not forget
the smooth
calm
soft
rocks
supporting the river
quietly absorbing and listening
to the babbling brook above
may the river pass over these rocks,
gently shaping the rocks
softly whispering
thank you
as the river runs it course

think of the kindness that rocks pass to river
for with no rocks to lead water
water would be
still
quiet
motionless
but even in stillness there is beauty.
