The infinite depth of the universe

All the planets, stars, moons, oceans, winds, echos.

Think of all the people, places, things and souls that roam these spaces.

Time is fleeting

Yes, you are small, but oh so significant.

So unique & you are apart of the formation and inhabitance of these spaces.

Treat them with respect.

Dance with the stars, swim in the oceans, fly among the stars, kiss the winds and listen carefully to the echo around you.

They are there for you as you are there for them. You do not have long -- catch the glimmer while you still can.

****** into this existence
of such recurring pain
a wound that never heals
dull and aching
did i ask for this
in lifetimes i don’t remember?
and will we see each other again
will i be your angel
again
i wonder when this world will end
far after i am gone
but i yearn to be reborn
this cannot be the end
i feel lifetimes inside me
the chemical reactions in my body
remembering every past experience
but i’m forever in a stupor
when will i reach
omniscience
stuck in this existence
of which i did not ask for
that has not much to offer

Astrologers
their readings ruptured
now run around
in panic-stricken circles

How can this be ?!!?
What shall we do ?!!?
Ceres is Gone !!
Now Pluto too !!
Who shall be next ??!!??
Jupiter ??
Neptune ??

Alas
We know their plans
and they've been confirmed

- No -
it's not Saturn...
- sshhh -
Be quiet now
- Please -
Do Not Squirm
They only want
Uranus

Yes
Uranus
from a planet
to a planetoid
and if they keep going
a lowly
ghastly
asteroid

I own this Planet
With trust, He gave it to me
To destroy myself
First poem of a Plotinus inspired 17 haiku series for an Ancient Philosophy final :)

The graffiti on the bathroom stalls has been blotted out by butterflies
The world is taking back it's body
Bringing back old fashioned Roman  concrete to fill in all the cracks

She's taken apart the locks just in case something beautiful got trapped inside
Every safe is a time capsule
Curiosity isn't dangerous anymore

Every time she took a step, the air shuddered
The soles of her shoes grew roots and flew away
She was humming and fixing things as she went with just the soothing sound of her sanity
Her soul leeching out like an ethereal mechanic

There were wishing flower seeds mixed in with the strawberries she was picking
I think when she ate them, she became holy
Her hands stroked the wind as they fell to her sides,
Like running her fingers through horse hair

At first, she made the mistake of falling in love with elevator buttons
Up, or down, one or the other, in constant motion
When they cut her open, she bled ivy
She invaded their circuitry and rotted their robotic
She showed them alive and showed them the door

She didn't understand wildfires
She knew passion only by its name,
Only by the monuments, by the mountains, and trenches
By the continents drifting like ice in lemonade
"You can't ruin this," she said

And if this is what burnt out looks like,
Imagine what will happen when the meteor hits
Or the bombs go off, or the oceans flood
This isn't a project we can procrastinate on
These are our wide open spaces and final frontiers

See, the world is taking her body back
Bandaging the scars we left,
Quietly, behind us, when we aren't looking
She's reinventing herself
Just like a garden,
Just like a caterpillar,
Just like a star we couldn't give up on
And we're all standing here, shouting, "We can change-"
We can change.
I don't talk about the environment very often. I think it's difficult to write about. This was inspired when I saw some graffiti in our school bathroom so crude and ****** and awful that I almost cried. Our school either doesn't know, doesn't care, or can't afford to paint over it. It's been there for months. So I imagined sticking paper butterflies all over it until you couldn't see it anymore. It reminded me of all those places where nature won and turned parking lots into jungles. It's beautiful.

Please comment :)

i

am not

a moon

or an asteroid

that orbits around you.

i

am my own

planet —

i exist

for myself.

If ever you are in doubt
Always look towards nature
She will answer you with a non audible voice
Observe the stars in the sky
Observe the starfish on the beach
They are connected and speak of patterns
Patterns of nature
No matter how hot the day
The shade of a leafy tree is always cool
Venus carves out a perfectly five pointed star in the galaxy
Everything is in synchronicity
Nothing is coincidence
Realising that we are part of nature
Part of this living, breathing blue-ball we call planet earth
But more so, part of all
Like withering flowers at the end of Spring
Every season passeth
As we continuously transform
Changing even while changing
No beginning ... No end ...

Our planet is like
A spec of dirt in the space
Our ego bigger than the space
In the human race

We call ourselves
**** sapiens, the wisest race
Still we fight bitter than animals
Dismissing the nature's grace

Of being unique.

Amazingly,
an untold number of animals
live upon this planet

This planet is not only our home
but theirs as well

Yet, humanity stands Alone
And is solely responsible
for destroying
This Planet

Stars

The stars align when I breathe in your light;
You allow me to become what I want to be, when you become mine.
There is just you and I on this planet of ours
And in your eyes the stars shine.

Everybody is a ghost, just a memory to us;
They can only be seen but never touched.
They can be brought back into existence, but only if we trust.
A higher being is said to have created the stars from dust.

There have been lights in the sky for what seems like a lifetime;
Forever they have been there and there they will stay.
One day we may see a change in the skyscape;
But nothing has changed in an age.
