You told me "I love you"
You said that you care
But now we are strangers
Because love isn't fair...

What happened to your commitment?
What happened to everything you said?
Why is our life now so different
Than the one we had once led?

Was it my mistake for leaving?
Was it your mistake for letting me go?
My life has lost all meaning
And I just wanted you to know...

I told you "I love you"
I told you I care
Our love now is broken
Because love isn't fair...

The longest marriage ended on day 33,227
that's 91 years and 12 days in "Heaven"
But I think we could last longer
but love is a twisted story so I might have never been wronger
like Mary Shelly if I die silk wrap my heart
because we're like art
How come every great romance ends in tragedy?
like Romeo & Juliet I'll wait beneath your balcony
like Augustus & Hazel
I'll love you even as an angel
because love is fatal
like John & Yoko
I'll smile in every photo
like Kurt & Courtney
I'll sing for thee
like me & you
we're always down and blue
but you keep my skin white
not red
just because we wake up in the same bed
even if we're not wed
I don't care
but you can bet your *** people will stare
when I prove I'm still there
on day 33,228 gasping for air.
2/21/2013. I thought of writing this after learning the fact of how long the longest marriage lasted and converting it to days. I'm not sure if that fact is even accurate.

reality is like the bitter cold morning air
reality is like a brutal slap
reality is something i wish to avoid
because why live in reality
when you can live in blissful oblivion
i want to forever avoid reality
Come with me to a marshmallow island,
where reality's sticky but the imagery's great,
and we can live life in reverse,
and we can make love in reverse,
and whatever we can do we can float on through,
because we have invented an ocean in  kerosene blue,

Come with me to a marshmallow island,
'till the ocean consumes us along with the trees and the people,
and creatures that comforted us,
will be long gone, dead and diseased,
peak.

hidden in the shadows
i sit
i wait
and i hope

with this small candle
i hold close to my chest
t you'll see it in the flashes of light.

the flashes that
almost blind you
to what is mistaken
for love,
happiness and
a happy way of life

but under the flaring colors,
the luring words
and seductive lips
sits the sad ones.

the ones who wish to extinguish
the small flame
we had so long ago,
the flame i so dearly
wish to roar
to grow
and to consume those who tear us apart
in its burning, enclosing embrace.

but it is but a mere
flicker in the shadows,
compared to the flashes of light
surrounding you in what i know
will be our end

The fault of our reality is not written in our stars
And it will not dance across unfavorable constellations,
Or dissolve into inconsolable fragments.

The fault, my love, is not written in our stars.
It is written in ourselves.

But how fortunate would it be?
To cast the providence of our unlucky affairs
Into the gloomy twilight,
Where the sky is so unilluminated
That we could close our restful eyes
And fathom a world where it does not exist?

But the fault, my love, is not written in our stars.
It is written in ourselves.

We are heavily folded sheets of stationary:
A collection of utterances
Bound into melancholy novels
By our mangled hearts,
And though spoken words
Still fall onto my turning pages
As tears do fall from my reddened cheeks,
I have yet to forget
The chapter you have left unwritten,
Because an unwritten chapter is one to be adorned:
It cannot end
For it does not exist.
And so we fumble through an amorous affliction,
Fabricated into a bittersweet infinity.

And at midnight,
When my restless fingers
***** the empty air for you,
And the reality of our desolate fault
Seeps into my hands,
I wish you were here.

But the fault, my love, is not written in our stars.
It is written in ourselves.

They said no pulse
could match the pace of mine
but our two souls
beat in time

You told me three simple words.
The three words I've always wanted to hear...
I pictured us happy
I pictured us together...
Living our lives through thick and through thin
And then you'd say "I love you"
Those three simple words...
And then our life would begin...
It would begin together...

But instead we live a lie
Instead we live apart
Living our lives through regret and through sin
That's when you said those three simple words...
"I love you" those three simple words
It was when our life ended...
Because you said it to another...
Those three simple words...

We were raised with the ideas that love endures eternity,
Friends are forever,
Addiction is a myth,
And bad things don't happen to good people.
As we grow up we come to find
Love expires,
Friends turn on each other,
Addiction of some kind is inevitable,
Not everyone has the same heart as us.
We never saw this coming.
